I got it the day it first came out and I have been playing it ever since.
You have your standard arcade mode with single race, vs.,
and time attack.
The Garage life mode was OK. The races were fairly simple. I had the majority of the game completed the first day. The tune up mode was quite nice, I really like giving your car custom body and paint not to mention the custom stickers you can make which will really make your car unique.
Now the most important part... online racing. It is absolutely great! AM is a pioneer of online racing for the ps2. I haven't encountered any problems with lag/latency, it runs quite smooth compared to other online games probably because of broadband only. And for all of you people who like to compare stats Capcom keeps a database of the top ten fastest laps for each track. It resets daily so atleast everyone else has a chance. Check it out you might see someone familiar on a couple of lists.
Capcom Daily Race Results
I give this game 4.5 stars out of 5 and recommend it for all racers.
