Which mode do you prefer. I like both but I prefer Auto-X.
 
I was a HUGE fan of AutoX in F1. In fact I spent an entire weekend dedicated to getting into the top 10 on the leaderboards. Took hours of trying over and over and over again. But I did it! Was in the top 10 for a long time. :)

Then T10 removed AutoX from 2 and 3. :guilty:

Now its back again....kinda. Its more like the gate challenges from PGR4 but thats fine with me. In fact I need to start spending some more time with the Auto X. :D

The bowling is fun once in a while. Its also like some of the events in PGR4 in a good way. But if I had to choose it would be autox for sure.
 
I want someone to record a video of the AutoX in this game. I really want to see what it is like.

Its VERY similar to the PGR3 and PGR4 gate challenges. You have 2 vertical gates and you drive through each set all the way around the track.
 
Never played PGR3 or 4... Is it similar to real autox at all? I do that all the time.

I have also autocrossed in real life. This is kinda like that just with taller cones. :lol:
Same concept. Get around the track through a bunch of "cones" as fast as possible. Each one you hit is -5 seconds.

I have autocrossed in real like with both my GTI and my Speed3. I have not done it in a few years but I appreciate the type that is in the game. It still takes skill and finess, you still have to have good control over your throttle and steering, and while you might know the track layouts, straightaways have variations in spacing for cones allowing for some open throttle sections and other sections that require you to set up your entry for another set of cones down the track.
 
Well since i've never played the bowling bit (guess its for Xbox Live Gold members?) i have to go with Autocross. :)
 
The autocross could've been so much better if they had just actually laid out a course using nothing but cones on a huge patch of bare tarmac. Going through the tracks with those barrels is still fun, but it's not true auto-x is it?

It is a TopGear event where you drive the track and hit sections of poles, some that are gold, for points. Goal is to reach a target point amount.

Oops, my mind isn't fully awake yet. I was thinking of car soccer - of course i've played the bowling! :) I prefer autocross however - and agree with Wardez, it should be in a big carparky area like the Benchmark area.
 
Bowling is indeed "fun". Autocross is fun in a challenging way. If I had to choose one over the other, Autocross no question.
 
I didn't think I would like the autocross stuff but it's actually pretty fun. A track you think you know becomes a whole different thing when it's all carved up with cones. lol
 
I was hoping the autocross would be more like cones in a parking lot instead of gates around a track, but it is better then nothing and it is quite fun. I've tuned my SRT-4 ACR to be an autocross beast which provides much enjoyment.
 
I also have a great time with it. Much more challenging actually going around an entire track up and down hills instead of just in a flat parking lot with cones. As I said before, its exactly the same setup that PGR3 and PGR4 have with the gate challenges. I need to sit down and commit to the autocross. Just trying to do all the other rival events. Been mainly in the drifting trying to battle to the top of my FL. As I am getting better and get to the top, others get better and take the lead again. Its so addictive.

I bet the Neon in the game runs quite well.

On a side note you need to come out onto Grattan Raceway with me sometime with your real life Neon. Get out of the autocross and onto a full track with multiple laps. You get the ENTIRE track all day long 12 turns and huge elevation changes plus lap after lap. I can hit close to 130 mph on the straight in 5th gear in my 69 Camaro. Then I dump it to 3rd gear and run all 12 turns. Plus you only have to pay for the car. Everyone else rides or drives for free all day! 👍
 
There is nothing worthy about bowling. At least autocross improves your driving skills. Bowling is a joke, I just drive a lap around the track and move on. I don't even care how many pins I hit or didn't hit, it's just so ridiculous of a concept and has no place in the career campaign.
