turn on the history chanell, the history of the autobahn is on. i just saw a 220 m.p.h RuF :scared:
take a loo guys :)

Heh, On fark.com, they just recently posted a news story about some tanker carrying pigs blood from The Netherlands crashing and spilling thousands of gallons of pig blood.

Ya I saw that, that 220 run was insane. There is no way I would ever go that fast. Although when I was in Geramany a few years ago I did drive our rental Audi from Berlin to Munich, well part way. I hit around 125 once out side the city. It was freakin insane! I had something pass me like I was standing still.

My dad drove on it as well and took the car up to 145ish. That was rather exciting.

I want to go back to Germany just so I can drive on it again. It was by far the best maintaned road I've ever been on, it was like carpet.

What I dont understand is that on most Autobahn you can drive as fast as your heart desires. Im thinking the faster you go the more likely hood youll have a crash or an accident. Well I have found out that there are less crash from Autobahn then on US highways. Thats quite interesting, at least to me.

I think it might be the driving skills. The reason I think that is because in Germany, the driving test is harder at least from what I have heard. Here in USA its quite easy to get a license I should know my sister got hers :scared:

Well, it's also because it's pretty damn hard to lose control on the Autobahn, because it's made up of long stretches and loooong, gentle bends, and as Blazin noted, it's very smooth. About the only way to crash is to get a flat or if someone cuts you off (which probably doesn't happen too often, since people realize that they're on a super fast highway and stay in the right lane).

Over here we've got bumpy freeways, dummies who think driving 50 in the fast lane is fine, and a couple million idiots who don't know what that mirror attached to their windshield is or how to look over their shoulder.

I wish our highways/interstates were maintained like the Autobahn. I'm afraid to lower any of my cars because the US's road system sucks such extreme amounts of ass.

Josh do like I'm going to do when the Blazer gets dropped, putting on some skid plates. Let me skrape all I want and never do damage. Also just get a quiality set of shocks so they don't completly die.

I know Michigan roads have complelty destoryed the bushing in my leaf springs. Had to replace them twice in a year and a half.

Gee, somebody hasn't been to Quebec... The roads here are the worst I have ever seen ever in the whole world. I've been to maybe a third of the US, and I havn't seen anything that compares to Quebec roads. It's horrible. Actually, the only place I've seen with worse roads is ex-Soviet state of Latvia, where, since their independance in 1991, have had better things to spend their money on. And as you can imagine, there was failry poo road maintenance from the early 40s to early 90s.
