Sorry I'm a bit late on posting this, but I have to put at least 400 more miles on the WRX before the 21st (autocross) and I was out having a joyride. Anywho! On to the rules!
The Track: Cote D' Azur or Monaco
The Car: Any Mazda Miata can be used for this race.
Wall taps are allowed! However, they can only be minor, and do add on to your final time. Not only will you be losing time from hitting the wall, but you will also have to report how many times you hit the wall. For each wall tap, two seconds will be added to your total time.
You will stage at the second gate! Get the car so the front of the car is on the line. No need to fret about perfect placement, just a good honest try at it.
The car catagories have been reduced to three, Stock, Street Touring and Street Prepared. You are not limited to enter in only one class, but the car is limited to the modifications. The following is a mix between real SCCA rules and keeping it somewhat fair.
Stock:
Sport Suspension
Sport Muffler and Air Cleaner
Sport Tires
Street Touring:
Semi-Sport Suspension
Sport Brakes
Semi-Racing Muffler and Air Cleaner
Stage One NA
Racing Chip
T5 Tires
Leightweight Stage 1
Street Modified:
All modifications allowed.
Miata Madness:
Not a real SCCA class, but you may choose to place a RX-7 engine in the Miata with no modification restrictions.
There really is no middle ground between Street Touring and Street Modified, but it seems to be that way by a quick glance at the rules.
Feel free to post your times (final and "T" sector) here, but your not obligated to. When you wish to submit a time to place on the leader board, please PM me with the time, Miata used and class. If you are participating in the Street Modified class or Miata Madness and don't use all the allowed modifications, please include what modifications you did preform. When submitting what Miata you used, simply old (pop-up headlights) or new (non-pop-up headlights) is sufficent.
One more thing. To get a bit more of the SCCA feel, you can register a number. First come, first serve basis.
That should be all... for now! See you at Monaco!
