Oh yeah here we go........... Everyone talks about how fast their car is or who can beat who, but where does you car really stack up in the BIG food chain...

So.......... I've broken it down into several levels with general requirements based upon performance levels, so answer honestly and lets see were u "truly" stack up, if u have multiple vehicles pick the fastest...... and motorcycles are included

Just..... (no shame)
0-60: 15+ sec
1/4: 25+ sec
Vmax: 80mph

Economy
0-60: 12-15 sec
1/4: 20-25 sec
Vmax: 80-110mph

Economy +
0-60: 8-12 sec
1/4: 16-20 sec
Vmax: 110-140mph

Sports Car
0-60: 5-8 sec
1/4: 15-13 sec
Vmax: 140-170mph

Sports Car +
0-60: 4-5 sec
1/4: 12 sec
Vmax: 170-185

Super Car
0-60: 3-4 sec
1/4: 11-12 sec
Vmax: 185-210

Hyper Car
0-60: 2-3 sec
1/4: 9-11 sec
Vmax: 210+

Categories are deceptive. Without reading Im econo+, after reading I know my civic si is just fast enough to be in the sports category.

Not really fast but enough to beat anything not made to go fast.

Kind of feeling you there... the last two "sports cars" I drove fall under "Economy +", while the last diesel luxury sedan I drove was a "Sports Car"... also an SUV and a seven-seater van... :D

Going by max speed alone, my V8 powered Toyota Tundra pickup truck is an economy car. :lol: :lol: :lol:

My "Sports" car is really more of a grand tourer, and my "Economy+" is a mid-engined roadster.

Speed is not everything.

There should be a skidpad rating or a lap time or something like that.
 
Not sure I would agree with the 0-60 times, sub 9 secs puts you in hot hatch/sports car territory to me, sub 7 puts you in very fast car.
 
Now see, the R6 can get 0-60 in "about" 3.5 seconds but my top speed is 165, but the 7 only manages sports car territory. I dunno what to vote. :p

I call your lateral G numbers irrelevant... in a RWD powerslide such things do not matter!
 
Economy+ I guess, '03 Corolla.

Although this is flawed, My dad's Buick Enclave goes 0-60 in 8.2 seconds. That puts it into "Economy +". it's nowhere near an economy car. Also, by your numbers, if it was just .2 seconds faster, it's suddenly a sports car? What?

Economy has nothing to do with MPG, hence no mention of it in the stats under the class. It's just the name of the class.
 
SVT Focus (ST170), 0-60 in 6.5-7.4 depending on who you ask and or if you have traction control installed. :lol:

So sports car for me. My Camaro also falls into this category.
 
Well going by the 0-60, my Jeep is in the Econo+ but it has a hard time hitting 80 due to wind resistance. :lol:

Of course they are! Everyone knows VTEC stickers shave 5/10ths off your 0-60 time... each. Whereas Lateral G's actually cost money!

So do we go by drift angle? The biggest I've ever gotten was out of a twelve-seat van. Oh. And a pick-up. There's no meaner donut-maker* than a rear-wheel drive pick-up with an LSD. :D

*Yeah, yeah, donuts aren't powerslides, but it does that, too.

I'm not so sure on the available options, judging cars just by their claimed 0-60 figures and top speed is something you would expect from a car review in the eighties.

Ah. So add the VTEC stickers, multiply by ten, then multiply by your VIN number to get atual HP... which should give you a 0-60 of about... 0.5 * pi. And it's only that long because of the wheelspin.

What about quarter mile or 0-60, and not to mention maneuverability, even though thats not part of the criteria, and also you don't "drive" a space shuttle, and it cant qualify for hyper-CAR
