So apparently I'm not the first one. Maybe this can be an exploit though? Just mess up the pitting and the computer will take over. That would be great for these darn long endurance races. Curse the lack of B-spec in A-spec for endurance events!👎

...as i know, this tends to happen @ TRACKS WITH NO PIT WALL DIVIDER (ex. Daytona)...

Other than that, it may occur if you speed into pit road, or press pause @ certain points on a given circuit.

"Sadly, theres no cure for this disease yet, we can only hope that Dr. Yamauchi K. and his crew of programers can succeed in operating GT5-coding correctly..."

Indeed. At least this can't happen on the 24H La Sarthe and Nurburgring since their entrances are walled. Imagine if you're over half way in and it happens. It would be the suck.

I had a similar thing happen at Tsukuba 9 Hour.
Entered the pit lane too fast and slid back onto the track again after the pit driver had taken control. Got the tyre change window pop up but I was out in the sand and had control again. Set the pit settings then drove it back onto the pit-lane on the corner and immediately the pit lane driver took over and did the pit stop as normal.
Phew!!
I was nearly 8 hours down and didn't fancy having to restart it.

Happend to me all the time when i was playing online.

All i did to fix it was - Press Start/Pause button, and then press X button to get back on track.

I guess if you are sufficiently far ahead you can still use this glitch for the last part of a race, unless the tyres burst or there is a limit to the amount of time you can go at 50mph.

In my defense for running the X2010, I already beat the event with the a RE Amemiya RX7 not JGTC car. No aids except the usual ABS at 1. The only reason I run the X2010 is cause after the previous 9 hours of running Tsukuba, I got sick of it. Running a X2010 at roughly 30-35 seconds a lap means I can drive for an hour and leave it parked for an hour. What's wrong with reducing the grind?

I don't see the point in using a car that fast in a timed race? You wont finish any faster, so why not enjoy it in a car you love.

I did enjoy it with a car I love. The RX7. I still don't like the track (at least with cars that have 350+ HP, and I'm not winning with any less thanks to that 600 HP Amuse S2K). And I don't like driving for 9 hours. I don't finish any faster. BUT, I only have to drive for 4 hours with the X2010 and I should still finish first.

It's basically the way I'm grinding for XP so I can get to level 35 and get to La Sarthe. And yes, I will use a X2010... Only after winning with the Peugeot 908 or the Audi R10. For XP grinding... Why is everybody so upset that I (and many others) don't want to drive for several hours? I like the previous endurance races but on a track like Tsukuba where the lap finishes so quickly, it gets dull quick.

Merging this with existing topic. Yes... there is already a topic regarding this.

Crap. This just happened to me after resuming a saved game in 2.01. 4 hour Roadster race with an hour in. The B-Spec driver is about 10-15 seconds slower than me and I was hoping he was going to pit but it hasn't yet and lap times are raising fast now that the car is running on rims.

I thought they fixed this?
