Hi GTP'ers:

Could please someone tell me if there's an easy way of clearing the stupid final license test in Silver grade? I've had enough of this useless Honda, the rest of 🤬-boxes around an oval, and the stupid concept behind the test. I watched the replay and it was anything but helpful, just seeing a robot fly by at unattainable speeds trough a pattern of slipstreams that couldn't be more perfect. I have a whel and I'm a decent enough driver, I've cleared all previous B-license tests with silver, and got up to I-B with silver on GT4, but this test is impossible for me.

I don't know what can be learnt from this test, or why is it meaningful in any sense, or why modelling a stupid supermarket-cruiser car like the CRZ as a premium. Please help!!!

EDIT: Gave up. And to increase my anger, all the effort I made to get 9 tests on silver went down the toilet because to GT 8 silvers, 1 gold, and 1 bronze is equal to having all bronze. GT is still the same, for the good but also for the bad. What a shame parking a stupid and worthless Demio next to my LP640.

Draft. Draft. And draft some more. That's the only way you can slingshot past 1st. If you do it just right, you should be able to fly right by 1st & 2nd right after the last turn on the 2nd lap.

Tried and failed :(. Apparently I'm not a bad drafter since I golded that RX-8 test at Fuji and just golded the two begginer events at Jeff's Daytona classroom. Thanks for the intention though :).

Well, McLaren is right whether it works for you or not. You need to draft behind the car ahead of you until you almost touch, quick pull out and get back in the next draft ASAP. Just keep passing each car one at a time, but making sure you stay in the draft until the last possible moment to maintain as fast of a speed as possible. You can't pull out of the draft a couple carlengths away because you lose too much speed otherwise.

Like the others have said, drafting is so important in this test and if there are any big spaces between cars, lightly bump the car infront of you until it catches the other car's draft, I am sure that's what I did in this test.

there is one turn, where you should be fighting for 5th or 6th place (dont remember), everyone goes to the bottom of the area to turn (typically an rx7 in the way). I found that if i skip going to the bottom to draft, and drift up top around the turn, i fly all the to first before the next turn. Its tough though because when drifting, even the slightest touch on the wall with DQ you. I tried for an hour before i said forget it will try to go up top cause as soon as i would look at the rx7, it would DQ me
