B-Spec, American Championship Help

Bob is know level 23.
I've given him a fully tuned Corvette ZO6 RM.
And he still can't overtake the 2J race cars.
Any help?
Setup advice?
Help is needed for both races.

What tyres are being used? Make sure they're the softest racing tyre possible. Also - you should have several drivers by this point, use one that has the "up" blue arrow. Spam overtake at the start and try to get ahead early - if it isn't happening, quit and start again. Try to be ahead of the Chaparral's before they get into the lead.

Also - when you say "level 23" - do you mean that you are B-Spec level 23, or is your driver Class 23.

This event is also fairly easily winnable by using the Ford GT LM Race Car that you win by golding the Dream car championship in A-Spec.

Hard Racing tyres are the limit.
I'm level 23 B-Spec, but class 24.
What's the difference between the two?
I will try using the Ford GT.

You could be B-Spec level 40 with a class 1 driver, who would fail to win in most cars.

Class 24 is more than high enough to win that event. I would say you need to switch cars, the Z06 probably just doesn't have enough power or handling for Bob to overtake

Okay thanks, I will give that a go.
Bob is currently on lap 8/10 at Laguna Seca in the ZO6 RM.
2nd place an struggling to get past a 2J.
If he fails, I will use the Ford GT.
I will use a Ford GT for Indianapolis as well.

EDIT: YES! Bob overtakes on the outside at the Corkscrew, first! Just keep it together now Bob...

Well done Bob, once he got ahead, he pulled out a nice gap.
7.699 seconds ahead.
Time for Indianapolis where he lost on the last lap...

I haven't won at Indy yet.
Trying a Ford GT after failing with the ZO6.

Looks like Bob is going to win, he took the lead at lap 2 with a fully tuned Ford GT.
11 laps in and he's 7 seconds ahead.
