(I guess you don't need me to bother anymore about French translation, right?)

I've been kind of putting off translation work since I'm going to have to modify some things to accommodate wider words.

I'll PM you what DCSemi came up with so you can proofread it though.

I've noticed with this new update that while it certainly still works fine, I've noticed a slight abnormality. When I'm viewing a web page or when my laptop is locked the widget used to work fine, but now when I'm in these states the grinder stops loading races until I can see it again, then it loads races (basically if I can't see the widget it doesn't load races). Could be just me but can you give me a little bit of testing for this?

I've noticed on Windows, the URL requests are slightly more fickle. Not sure how I can fix that without rewriting as a native app though (which I probably should do anyway).

It takes a few hours for the GT website to update. When the site is updated, the drivers will show in the widget as well.

My grinder doesn't seem to be working... Its in a loop of starting race... reserving drivers... and ending race every 30 seconds...

Updated to new version, still no luck, same issue....

Hello, I believe I have an actual bug and the logs to prove it. I cannot select drivers from a specific friend event tough his racers are available and unused. In the "manage drivers" page it shows a "?" next to his name where the others show "6" if u catch my drift. I will post the logs below but i will summarize by saying that it throws an error saying that the drivers are available but not selected. I can manually select them from both the ps3 remote screen and the gt5 website. I have found that once i select the manually via the gt5 website all is well and the widget will continue to select them.this is a work-around but i have not been able to fix this by altering code with konfab.

Posimosh, I believe the issue you have is not due to the widget, but to the server.
I believe that the friend for which there is a question mark instead of the number of drivers needs to go back to GT5 on his (her) PS3 for the game to update whatever info it needs to update, then for good measure to go to gran-turismo.com as well.

If anyone else has an idea, can confirm or disagrees with me, please let me know...

wmwolverines, try to force reauthentication (via right click on the widget), it may solve the problem, which is probably that the widget doesn't find any drivers to use at all.

JTT, try to force reauthenticate as well.

Enable Yahoo Widgets Debug Mode
CTRL+SHIFT + RIGHTCLICK systemtray icon of Yahoo Widgets. Now "Debug Mode" is visible as an option in the menu, enable it!

In The debug window you can set the race event value, by typing following in the input field:
preferences.preferredRace.value = xxxxxx (then press enter)

Replace xxxxxx with a code that corresponds to the country you have chosen in grinder settings.

Don't take offense but did you make sure you were doing Ctrl+Shift+Right click on the Yahoo systrem tray icon, not the widget itself?

Muzz_55, I've had the same error this week, it's due to an error when picking up the drivers rewards (when uploading changes to the server).
It goes away by itself.

Hi all. I got the widget yesterday and it worked great. Today though it wont work. I get "Failed to connect to sonys servers" I have tried everything to fix it but i cant. Im using the lastest 2.5.2. Anyone have any thoughts on how i may fix this please?

Do you think it would be interesting (and possible) to have access to the GT5 log (the one available in one's profile via gran-turismo.com) through the widget?

My issue with the log shown on gran-turismo.com is that it doesn't go far enough in the past for me (but you may get the exact same data anyway) but also mainly because it doesn't refresh enough, even after hammering F5...

Nizmo, I think the Playstation servers were down for a while, I couldn't use the widget either.

Great idea, was looking forward to using out. However, I keep getting "Temporary server issue" as its about to start a race. Any way around this, is it a geographical issue or a server related? Would love to get this working! Ive got 4 concurrent threads.

I'm having server issues as well.

Nevermind. I restarted the widget and PS3 and everything's working again.

^^I had the exact same issue. Also noticed I had to restart the widget for it to recognize part of my friends list.
Was wierd.

Ive noticed in the MY FRIENDS DRIVERS, next to some of their names, theres a "?" symbol.

Why is that so and how do i change that (or get them to change it)??

Try in this order:

1 - Force reauthentication
2 - Ask them to run the game
3 - Ask them to go to their profile on gran-turismo.com
