Here is a tip on winning the endurance races easily:
First get a Toyota Minolta 88C-V race car '89, put a turbo kit on it (so you will end up with 1200+ bhp), then put R3 tires in the front and R1 tires in the Back. Then go into the race in b-spec mode.

Set the pace to "2" and "pass cars", then you can go ahead and go to sleep or whatever you wish to do, come back in the destinated time and you will end up with money and prize.

Here are the times needed for the endurance races:

Fuji 1000km: a little bit over 5 hours
all the other 200 km races only take about 2 hour.

Please note: even you can set it fast forward to 3x, but it resets itself everytime when it enters the pit.

mode 1 most be going to the supermarket to pick up milk, and juice during the race and still finish a 100 laps ahead. ;) ;)

the is prettey irrelevant info in a forum where more than 90% can't even own a copy of gt4 yet :grumpy:...............try an asian (jp) forum........maybe there it will be helpfull!!

Well it is pretty relevant to those who DO own the game, and this is a GT forum, so I see no problem. Do I sense a bit of sournes because you might not have the game? Oh and thank you for the tip Ducati999.

Yes but apparently your car automatically travels to the pits at 80kph when it runs out of fuel, and I assume it changes tires there as well. So, with an overpowered car, B-Spec equals full-auto... mmmh...

Sorry mate but why is Ducati999s info any less valuable to the forum than all the other GT4 info from the Japanese version? :dunce:

cool, so can u just pick b-spec mode for any race, like if u need to race endurance races to beet the game but u don't want to race them your self so can u just put it in b-spec?
or are there certain races that are only a-spec and some that are only b-spec?

All the 1vs1 races are A-Spec only. Not sure about the rest.

Be aware that for B-Spec to be 100% effective (i.e. win) you need a) good B-Spec experience, as your 'driver' makes huge mistakes at the early stages, and b) a powerful car compared to the opposition. Where I'm at B-Spec will never win me a race with a car that I would bring to a close victory with A-Spec. In other words, chances are you are a much better driver than you AI counterpart...

I'm shocked it's as easy as that. I would have thought B-Spec would've been programmed so it needed almost constant attention. Oh well. I'll drive it all anyhow - will be much more fun :)

If you have the time and you can gather up some friends, of course A-spec is more fun. B-spec is just a fast way to earn money and prize cars.

A little tip on the tire settings: MR cars ALWAYS wear out the rear tires a lot faster, so make sure you get set up the tires accordingly for the endurance:
Front/Back: R1/R3 or S1/S2

I'm sorry some thinks this post is irrelevant, but hey, i'm just excercising my freedom of speech here.

So is your 'B-spec' experience based on your B-spec points? and won't the "2" race setting elimitate most of the driver errors?

B-spec Exp points are related to the b-spec points. The race pace settings range from 1 to 5.
Here are a few of the things you can adjust in b-spec mode.

Race pace: 1 being the most conservative on the line choice and tire wear; 5 being the most aggressive.

Pass/No Pass: You can set the car to pass the opponents whenever given the chance, of course, ALWAYS leave it on, especially during endurance races.

Pit: The AI driver pits automatically when tires wear out, but you can call the car in to do tire adjustments/refuel if you see it being necessary. Every pit stop takes about 30 seconds.

Race speed: You can fast forward the race up to 3x speed.

B-spec mode works in all races except for the Special Condition Hall and... the license tests.

So they've disguised a concession to people who don't like heinously long endurance races as a new game mode?
Brilliant!

Sorry... let me specify:
On endurance races: use mode 2 to minimize tire wear/pit stop. The time to refuel the amount of fuel consumed with my recommended tire is about the same.

On non-endurance races (1-10 laps): Use mode 5 at the beginning to gain a fast lead, then use mode 3 to minimize mistakes and tire wears.

Remember, the higher mode you use, the more likely your car will make a mistake. (Especially on courses like Laguna Seca)

I have the game, so I've a pretty decent understanding of B-Spec... but I guess my question is that if I have around 2000 B points, would that constitute as being 'experienced' enough to run full endurance races in b-spec without making too many rookie mistakes?

Thanks... are the timed endur. races in real time? as in does the Nurb. 24hrs last... 24hrs?

You seem to rack up an incredible amount of B-Spec points very easily, and the points you get vary greatly from race to race.

Myself and a friend compared our figures, and I had about 5,000 points for it over a few thousand kms, and my friend had about 2,500 points over nearly 30,000km. Not sure how it works. I have used B-Spec for a few normal races (instead of just endurance), so perhaps it adds up much more more in Normal races?

Yeah I have about 35,000 B-Spec points over the course of 50%, and i've done quite a handful of B-specing (Hey, might as well have it doing something while i'm working at home!)

Maybe the difference lays in that you might have raced B-spec a lot in championships or something where the game doesn't count the amount of km but you will get B-spec points 💡

Can anybody suggest a situation where you would tell your driver to NOT pass? This seems a very peculiar option. Is it just because passing is theoretically more risky than staying behind? Perhaps it so that you don't risk a manouvre on a back marker at the end of a race. Any thoughts?

Because you know the AI is going to make an a-hole pitting manouevre on the last lap of the race and there's no point risking a pass on the track? :D
