Backlog: Hall Of Shame

I have a few, mainly on PS3 which I never really got into beyond GT5. So yesterday I put The Last of Us into the console. Apart from playing the opening sequence on launch day, I hadn't touched it since. Really enjoyed the 20 minutes I played yesterday. The day before, I finally gave ACIII a spin and enjoyed that too. Next up will be Mass Effect, which came in the post this week.

NOT counting the PS+ games I have backlogged... have bought bunch of games and only cracked in a few short hours or still untouched.

PSVita
Muramasa
Uncharted

PS3
Ni No Kuni
Dragon's Dogma: Arisen

3DS
Shin Megami Tensei IV
Project x Zone ... got real repetitive and bored me halfway.
Code of Princess
Monster Hunter 3DS

PC
Path of Exile .. not max level yet on anything.
Sleeping Dogs
Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition
Batman: Arkham City
Batman: Arkham Origins

NFS Shift 2 was the game I only opened a year after buying it. Partly due to the fact GT5 was still relatively new and with PD still supporting it, it still felt like I only bought it yesterday. However, in 2012 the joys of GT5 wore off on me and I came across Shift 2. However, I instantly did not like the game. They kept on billing it as the most realistic simulation game out there, when it was clearly an arcade racer. There are many more issues, but this isn't the place to talk about it. All I say is this a game I'm glad I waited a year to play.

Nearly every NFS game from Shift 1 to Most Wanted 2012 (Except Shift 2) is pretty much in my backlog. I never really liked any of them much at all. They are just not as fun as the 2nd generation titles ranging from Underground 1 - Undercover in my opinion. (On terms of Need for Speed, I am a 2nd generation fanboy.)

Im not even going to get Rivals because it may end up in my backlog as well.

It's getting kinda hard to not have GTA V fall into this pile; and I'm still not entirely sure why. Think I might just be bored of games at the moment.

That's sort of been my attitude too; I haven't even touched it since before the stimulus package. Well, I've also been on a self-imposed break from games until December.

My backlog consists of the following:

  • Uncharted 3 - Really tried to get this knocked out, at least one playthrough, before TLOU. Never did, and it's sat ever since.
  • GTA IV - Was so dull. I got it years late, and tried to get it out of the way during the spring. Gave up at the job interview mission.
  • Infamous 2 - My girlfriend picked it up before we were living together, and I played the first one as part of the free PSN outage games. Really liked it, but have never actually sat down to play this other than to help her with a few scattered missions.
  • Ico & SotC - Ico's very early in, while SotC is something like 3/4 done. Despite the beauty (especially with the latter), it's always felt more like work.
  • LA Noire - Another one of my girlfriend's that I've wanted to try, and never have.
  • ModNationRacers - I don't think I ever did complete the main story...
  • PGR4 - I bought it during the summer on the recommendation of @Terronium-12, but never got around to playing it more than a few minutes.

Oof, and that doesn't even count the games I don't yet own that I want to (Bioshocks).

Batman AA and AC
Bioshock
Infamous
Mirrors Edge
Saints Row 3
Deus Ex:HR
Dead space 3

Games I stopped playing half way
Crysis 2/3
Deadspace 2
Mass Effect
Assassins creed
F1 2012
Dirt 3

Games I want to check out
God of War III
Uncharted 3
Last of Us
LA noire
Red Dead

Thinking about it now, my list is a lot longer than I thought. Not sure if I wanna post it. :nervous:

Only games one payed for or strived to get your hands on counts towards backlog. Not free games like ps+.

Why not? Says who? I've been a psplus member for two and a half months and there's a bunch of games that I haven't even started, but will.

As for my backlog, it's difficult as there are several games I've completed several times but I still play on a regular basis. Take dark souls for example. I've seen pretty much all there is to see and yet I still play it more than anything.

That's like Dead Island for me :)

My backlog though is currently:
Dishonoured
Time Shift
Binary Domain
MSG4
- never could get into it.

Not much chance of reversing that situation for a while, not with GT6 arriving and the PS4 already here...one day though, as I definitely want to play Dishonoured and Time Shift.

I have a very large backlog of games on both PS3, PS4 and PC :scared::

  • LBPK Karting
  • XCOM: Enemy Unknown
