Hi, i just was thinking about the new M5 or even the new 5 series for that matter, but they have the new leadlights that turn in the direction that you are steering. I was wondering if GT4 might use this technology, if they did it would be quite advanced. Has anyone seen any info on this? Ive looked but havent found any.

Good question, I haven't seen anything, but I doubt the PD would have the time to add this feature.
 Buddy I know PD has the time to add this feature! How do I know this? Well first of all the game is done! But not released so this means they havent yet started to make copies of the game and in turn can add this feature! But I bet if they do decide to add this feature it will take them another year!

You wouldn't even notice it if it were implemented as the game doesn't have projected light...

My Dad has a new M5 on order, will be here in like a year. But my mom has a 2003 745li and its amazing how the headlights are.

ya my dad has a 2003 Audi A8L 4.2 and the lights dont turn, but they do balance according to the weight in the car and going over hills and such. All of the BMW, Audi, and Mercedes are amazing cars.

First of all they should have some pitch black courses, well not exactly pitch black but with not much light so the use of the headlights would be useful. 👍

To have those kind of head lights, PD would have to make headlights that actully work.

dude, my Audi A4 does that. it's call self-leveling...

I was just at a car show the other day. The Evo8 moves the beam higher once you hit higher speeds. Thats a lovely feature. It allows you to see farther down the road before you crash into something.

The problem is that it takes the hell of a lot computing power to render real headlight rays that illuminate the track. The PS2 would never be capable of this, at least not combined with the graphics quality of GT4. Maybe we'll see this on the PS3, but who knows.

So what they do is make the night tracks as bright that you don't need to simulate this. Of course there are a lot of things people would like to see on GT, but the game has definitely reached the limit of the PS2. There should be enough space left for reverse lights though. :dunce:

Isn't this about road-following headlights? :dunce:

Just turn the brightness of your TV way down ;)

My dad had a DS23 Pallas once, loaded. He told me that the (turning)headlights were hooked up to the car's hydraulic suspension, so the lights would balance, just like on today's (prestige) cars!

And even though I have a slightly hard time believing it, I wouldn't be surprised if Ctiroen somehow did it.

NFSU 2 (ps2, xbox, gc), Sega GT (dreamcast, 2002+online for xbox), RSC 2 (xbox), cmr 3, 4 (xbox, pc), enthusia (ps2).

They all seem to have projected headlights.

Granted, nobody cares, but it's pretty to look at.

My moms c320 has the auto leveling ons, but itd be cool to see the turning headlights.

how many times do i have to say...AUTO LEVELING DOES NOT TURN THE HEADLIGHTS LATERALLY, BUT ONLY VERTICALLY.

is enthusia out? meh wont be close to GT4 👍 but anyways headlights would be nice. i doubt they would actually have night courses but it would not be the same as real driving at night. hearing everything <8- ) i love the night time. it could help with learning the course and probably braking distance but even the is not enough of a reason to add them

The most interesting headlight technology I've seen in a while invovlved road-following headlights that were slaved to the GPS navigation system. They anticipated a turn and aimed in that direction before the wheel was even turned.
