I always see MM and NIN as manson and trent + their hired goons, they sit in the background and get told what to do, NIN is a great example of this, how many lineup changes have they had? have they ever had 2 tours with the same lineup?

No he doesn't. He had to record the song in his own studio, and is paid by the funds the video raised. There was no payment or flat fee whatsoever. And onc again, it;s not the production company that pays the musical artists they feature. So here's and idea, research how things work! 💡
