yes i do agree with the metallica, way overrated and lost their style
 
slipknot just scare me and i dont understand hjow its good music.....im more of a calssic rock (queen etc) and alternate rock (oasis)

They're different yes - It's called "Evolving"... Some bands who have the talent will actually DO that - I know it's scary when things don't stay the same, but it's part of life. You can't stay in your parents basement forever either...
 
I'll agree with HATEKORE about Metallica. Pretty much up to the Black Album, they were very musically complex, with great riffs, solos, etc. Load & Reload weren't so bad, but when St. Anger was released, I was so disappointed. All the musical complexity that I loved about them was gone, it seemed like just a lot of straight forward "metal", hard rock even to some. Don't get me wrong though, I still like Metallica very much, I'm just very disappointed with their recent stuff.
 
Nickelback - I don't see how anybody can enjoy their bland, overproduced type of rock. Their one song, Figured You Out, makes me want to puke every time I hear their disgusting looking singer go on about how he likes the freckles on a girl's chest. I don't know how these morons are successful as they are.

Metallicaaaahhhh - This may be a controversial choice, I know that they're somewhat talented instrumentally, but hearing James Hetfields voice just makes me want to cram pencils into my ears.

Creed - Scott Stapp, you're a douche bag.

Slipknot - The only band that takes 9 people to suck.

Live - I guess they're a decent band, but I really, really can't stand the sound of their lead singer's voice, so I hate them.

Limp Bizkit - Do I even need an explanation?

50 Cent/G-G-G-G-G-G-UNITTT - I can't stand a single thing about this guy, he's cocky, he's annoying, and his music is terrible, especially "Candy Shop" How could Dr. Dre and Eminem use their good names to endorse crap like fiddy cent.

Can I just ask HATEKORE, how can you say everyone has their right to an opinion and then try to end a conversation with an opinion that is clearly not excepted by all.

The 2 Japanese 'rock' chicks are annoying as hell.
 
PS - Could you please edit your post on Page 7 to disclude HATEKORE's name as he obviously doesn't wish to have it posted on the site. Also, I know you're only trying to prove a bunch of points, but try to keep it to the topic at hand: naming the bands you dislike and the reasons you don't. Whether they are factually correct or incorrect, it's all part of each person's opinion.

HATEKORE - Claiming to know a certain moderator without intending to tell of their name creates suspicion, when this moderator obviously does not want to be part of the conversation. Knowing a moderator outside of GTPlanet does not mean you will get any special or privelaged treatment over other members. Also, Marylin Manson is not generally referred to as Metal. It's more Industrial/Hard Rock than anything else. ;)

As for the bands I dislike:
  • Good Charlotte and Simple Plan are terrible. The whole angsty teenage pop-punk genre is irritating me to no end. Blink 182 are just as bad.
  • Almost the entire old and new Punk genre. It ruined talented rock music and paved a way for bands consisting of members who could barely play their music. A good example of this was the Sex Pistols' bassist, Sid Vicious. They hired him to play bass because he looked alright, and they had to teach him to play bass because he had no idea. Seeing that I'm becoming more and more of a fan of talented music, these genres really have no appeal to me what-so-ever.
  • Emo is not appealing to me at all. Although you can't judge these things, I'm hoping it's a fad that will pass. Some of it just sounds horrible, and half of the time their voices don't blend with the music. Granted, there are some bands here that have talent, but the music they produce has zero-appeal to me.
  • Biohazard. Thanks for sparking half of Nu Metal. Jerks. :lol:
  • Post-Black Album Metallica. Load and Reload were Modern Rock. I didn't agree with the change of style into this genre, therefore I just don't like it. St. Anger was garbage. Lars hits a tin can, Kirk and James mash their guitars with no direction, and James lost his voice. Please quit Metallica. Please.
  • New Kids On The Block and following boy bands. Must I explain?
 
Well I know I'll get flamed but meh whatever...

I don't like any of the gothic metal, shock rock, whatever you call it. It's not my style of music and I personally see the band memebers as freaks. Doesn't mean they are but image is quite a bit in the world. Yes I am refering to bands like Slipknot and MM (well he isn't a band, I don't know the name of his band).

The reason I dislike the music is because I just can't get into the dark twisted stuff, not my style what so ever.

I also can't stand punk rock and emo, not my style what so ever.

But argueing about opinion is stupid. Some people like certian kinds of music others don't, you can't force someone to like something. Just like me, I like quite a bit of country music but I know many people can't stand it. And before someone asks, my favorite type of music is classic rock.

manson is damn cool and i think its quite funny that "hatekore" had the umm lets say missguidedeness to start a thread against him. lol i know hate kore personally and i know jimmy personally as the name shows i'm sorry but what does that prove? mmmk thats what i thought nothing changes and really nobody cares honestly i think you could know the Queen or Prince and peoples opinion about you HateKore with not faulter for a second! i think its pointless starting threads like these ps had the facts and the passion for manson's music and hatekore is ignorant to others tastes and really just sits at home and listens to sewer (basic metal with vocals that sound like toilets).
in closing there are many bands we all love and hate and thats what makes us different if we all liked that same music then....i'm starting to sound like springer....... dont sleep with your family its not healthy!

i hate and i mean hate with a passion are fabricated pop bands that arn't bands because no instrument is played by anyone in the "band". and JIMMY BARNES
 
Because it doesn't mean I haven't seen him and his band on TV or on the Bowling for Columbine movie.
