:( Aww. I like "I Owe You An IOU". Catchy song.

On to my hate list -

-Pop
-Rap

-Nickleback
-Green Day
-Taking Back Sunday
- My Chemical Romance
- Avenged Sevenfold
- Micheal Jackson
- DISNEY MOVIE SOUNDTRACKS

Also I like Coldplay and the Foo Fighters. :p
You hate the man who made Thriller?

I'll forgive you since I agree with you on almost all of those other ones.

Well, they are somewhat ubiquitous...

I tend to dislike Feist for this reason, despite the facts that she is a Canadian artist, and a respectable one at that.

The Doors are overrated. They are fine as a singles band, but listening to a whole album's worth will beat you senseless with the sheer pretension of it. And this is speaking as someone who went to high school around 1980, when they were having their first of several huge resurgences (despite Jimbo's continuing death).

I think the image of being into The Doors is more appealing to certain folk then the actual process of listening to their music, which like you pointed out, is overrated.

Slipknot - Always disliked their attitude and approach to making quality music
Cannibal Corspe - I mean, what sort of people call a song 'to rip a virgin 4letterword?'
Nate Dogg
All pink pop
All thrash, they seem to have no musical talent, especially the vocalists

This is definitely true! Although I'm more sympathetic to the Doors' music, especially when you take into account that they only existed for 6 years...!

Just blame it on the drugs. Maybe if people would have cut back their smoking they would have realized the crap they were listening too.

Speaking of the doors I really liked the NFSU2 'riders on the storm' feat. Snoop doggy dogglet doggmond doggstein doogbauerdogg

uhhhhhh......you are entitled to your opinion sure, and a lot of thrash is pretty easy to play. but if you are going to offer opinions, dont be ignorant about it. all genres of music offer artists who dont have talent and artists who do. there are plenty of vocalists who are going for a specific style of and just because you dont like it doesnt mean there is no talent. you could say that about ANY vocalist. i dont know what level of "talent" you're using to measure bands against but i concede to the fact that you at least said "seem to" which probably means you spend little time in the genre.

I guess you guys are entitled to your opinions, and I do agree The Doors are a tad over rated, but I still love their music and think they are a great band. I think it's the fact that people will only listen to one of their songs and make such a great deal about it, it ruins the image of the band.

Same goes with Pink Floyd, and Zeppelin. Every time I go up to someone they think they are such HUGE fans, but in reality only listen to the wall or stairway to heaven. I'll usually say "So do you like when the levee breaks, it's probably one of my favorite songs" and all they have to reply is "uh.. ya.. I mostly like kashmir and stairway to heaven"

It really pisses me off

I never really liked Kashmir all that much. The Ocean is good though. :D

As for bands that I hate, hmm... probably all screamo bands, but mostly the people who like them. My problem is that the people who like screamo tend to mistake it for Metal, which it is very far from. I don't know to describe it but they sound just like one of those higher pitched upbeat bands, but with little kids having temper tantrums for the screaming. I'm sorry but that is NOT metal.

Name That Led Zep Song, REAL ZEP FANS!

"We've got four all ready, but now it's steady, until I went one, two, three, four."

That'd be The Ocean.

Probably my favorite Zeppelin song. I really don't think it's a big deal if people say they like a band when they only know a few songs, it's their loss for not hearing it all, not yours.

As for me, I've got the boxed set :).

I was testing TopHat. ;)

Skill here depends if one is concerned with the finished product of the band (their songs) or the complexity of their instrumental parts, or even the consistency (but rarely) of the artist's songs. In this case, (though no fault of your own, Alex.), he probably means that the instrumental parts are easy to play, but Kurt Cobain was no J.P. Wayne. The former was popular because he wrote great songs, but he himself even said that his instrument skills were subpar.

the ocean is a great song. but my favorite zep song is bron-yr-aur stomp

any indie fans out there like snowglobe? listen to their album going the distance straight through. its brillient and has a great swing at times.

Bands I hate: hmmm, can't say for sure, although the rising punk rock craze is grinding my nerves like sandpaper.
Bands I dislike or strongly prefer to not hear: everything, aside from System of a Down, Korn, Rage Against the Machine, Matthew Good Band, and Moist.

Yeah, I don't listen to rock music.

Nickelback, Fall Out Boy are two bands that should never be allowed to make another record and should have their current records melted down

That's a bad idea. People would buy their records just to burn them... I know I would (in the case of Nickelback anyway :yuck:)

Bands that Jo Whiley says are 'well good' that she heard at the 'gigs' she always goes to the bands that are 'proper underground', 'unknown' and 'ground breaking'.....

Gosh that woman needs to shut up... shes so full of herself...

Robin.

Flo Rida. If I have to hear that damn Low song again I'm going to punch a kitten. What in the hell are apple bottom jeans anyways?

Also that new Panic!!!!! At the Disco song is getting on my nerves as well, how can it be nine in the afternoon when clearly nine o'clock is in the morning or evening?
