How much HP should Bankfin cars be running?

Just waiting on certain things, as you know about already, but probably start around early August and thinking possibly a Saturday/Sunday ... Once this gets more interest then we can discuss what suits everybody ...

Your Saturdays aren't cramped enough yet? :lol: I'm game for a Sunday series. Races seem short. Should still give me outdoors/birds and bees time too. :lol:

One suggestion: add an eighth car, just in case 14+ people sign up.
 
My Saturdays on GT5 only officially start at 23:30 my time ... I've still got the whole day on Sat to do races :lol: ... Sundays will make it a nice end to the week IMO ...

I'm thinking of adding the Evo TC, but further testing needs to be investigated ...
 
Sounds cool. There's also the RX-7 TC and Skyline R33 TC, which are more time-line appropriate as ideas. I love all of these cars mentioned, though, so, it doesn't bother me.
 
I want to try and keep things as original to a Super Touring car ... The Skyline and RX-7 are more Gran Tourers, so it defeats the purpose IMO ... Most of the cars mentioned are based off 4 door Sedans, so it makes sense ... lol

Sounds great. I wanted to create a own Series, but my Job hinders me from that.
I wanted to use some Cars you picked but not in that "style".

Put me on the List.
Saturdays sound great. Apart from working till 18 o´clock I´ll be able to race from 20pm on.

Won´t interfere with ITCC I hope (2.30 hours later if the start is 20pm => 19:30 Q etc.).


Car: TBD but probably the Altezza Touring Car...
 
Well you just gave an idea of maybe Saturday before ITCC Sake ... It could make a decent warmup for ITCC ... what do the guys Stateside and Sheepside :dopey: say? ...

Well if ITCC starts 16:30 your time then it would probably make it 14:00 your time ... or we could do it a Sunday night race ... how does 22:00GMT+2 sound? ... got nothing better to do on a Sunday night other than watch crap movies they got on South African tv ...

Sunday works best. I might have a conflict in 2013. There's a rally series in the works. :lol: Fridays... Haha, now we're talking crazy! :crazy: Yup, Sundays still best for me, I think. Well, in 2013, when Rallymorten gets his Euramerica friendly rally series running, Saturdays will be busy.
 
Fridays are definitely out of the question ... we're still only half way through 2012, so lets see what happens next year before we commit to it then ... lol

Haha, that's my point. :lol: I'm sorta saying "this looks sweet and we should have a 2012 season." I just use some weird anecdotes to mean the same.

Haha, Team Orders? Nah, the "pass clean rule" doesn't apply to teammates. :lol:

Nah. I don't choose teammates. Cars are more important than teammates. If you have a team of four, and everyone's in last.. you have a Marussia F1 Team season. If the two teammates have good cars and hate each other, you have Red Bull, or last year's Rolex GT championship. I don't hate Seth, but that was a properly close championship.
 
Lol ... Seth and myself have had our share of rough patches ... hopefully that's all behind us now and put to pasture ...

Seth and I are close to equal. He can close endurance races better, but I have an "on/off switch" which allows me to be the fastest driver on a track, for a lap or two. Imagine KERS or nitrous, that is only active during restarts...
 
But from what I've seen in ITCC, he tends to be fast all round ... Never seen him in action in endurance events but I would rate him as the second "Wolf" in ITCC ... :lol:
Mind you he could be the only "Wolf" now that JP has left ... :(

And cnd? And Sakery? And Jamie? And me? :lol: Everyone in the ITCC is fast. I know my talents, and where I lose out. Once you find that one niche that you're good at, I'm sure that you'll do great, too. Look at Prodigy-Z28. That guy couldn't work with the FF Scirocco, but skidded around Madrid faster than I could go in that little MR2. I think your talent will be found soon. Maybe you're the late braker that can close any gap under braking. Maybe you're a miracle worker while passing. Seth's good at making the car he's given go 1/10th harder. I'm good at avoiding wrecks, and gaining first lap positions. cnd is good at qualifying, and getting good laps in. Jamie is good at holding his line and making people take the long way around. Polarbear (my Honda teammate) is good at recovering from bumps and mistakes. Everyone has a unique trait. I do terribly in qualifying, but control the race starts.

Everyone's a "Wolf" in the ITCC.

I agree with you. ITCC has some very, very talented drivers. That's what makes it unique from my perspective. No matter what your place is in the field, there's always a battle going on ...

But why don't we take this conversation to the ITCC thread and not mix ITCC and the Bankfin Touring Car Championship together ... people might get confused as too which Championship thread this is ... :scared:
 
Never! I'm actually going to sleep now. But, as I mentioned, people won't get ITCC and STCC mixed up... Never! :lol:

But, I'm looking forward to this series now too. VLN/Conti preseason on Friday; I'm sensing pre-pre season for this series sometime this week[end] too?
 
Lol ... word on the street is the installation will be done on Saturday ... I hope so ... If that's the case then I'm hoping to join ITCC on Saturday night and run some pre-preseason testing on Sunday ... *insert holding thumbs here*

Quick question. When you say race weekend do you mean races will be held on saturday and sunday? Or is the feature race directly before the main race on the same day?
 
Count me in. Not sure what car yet. But any ideas on race dates yet?
