How much HP should Bankfin cars be running?

Quick question. When you say race weekend do you mean races will be held on saturday and sunday? Or is the feature race directly before the main race on the same day?

A race weekend will be held on the same day ... I'm planning on running this series either early on a Saturday night or late night Sunday to cater for the Stateside drivers...
The first race will be the Feature (Main) Race, with the Sprint Race started directly after with a 5-10 minute loo break ... I'll update the OP ... :)

Hoping to get this off the ground in early August ... I'm hoping to have all the teething problems sorted out by the 4/5 August, so we can get Preseason going on one of those dates ...

Done further testing last night and I feel I've got the field sorted ...

300hp is the limited in these cars and weight limits have been altered ...

If everyone is keen then I'd like to start preseason on the 5 Aug @ 22:00 GMT+2 ...

I'm questioning the 1050 kg Lexus/BMW specs. They don't go that low. The Lexus is +50 kg. So, I think it'll be a good fit for me, still, as long as it's competitive enough to win some races. Also, does it account for the FF tire wear/FR tire wear differences? I hope that the FF/FR tire wear difference isn't huge.

And, which tires are allowed?

It should. I can't do early August though. I will be away from home until the 9th of august, so I will miss the first race if that happens on the 5th

It'll only be preseason then so it will be alright ... I just want everyone to get used to each other and the cars ... I'm expecting good, clean, tight racing with these cars in this series ...

:lol: I've already adjusted to the Lexus, actually, in the two or three days I've had it. cnd gifted me one. Now, I only hope to find one shortly.


Again, though, which tires?

It's especially interesting, that it's similar to my VLN series, in some ways, but completely different, in terms of weather, track length, and car specs. The VLN is promising to be interesting, and using the same cars, I imagine this series (with a little more emphasis on pace/tire strategy versus rain strategy) will be even better. :drool: I can't wait.
 
Well we don't know if the Official series is going to be run during the rainy season at some tracks ... If you watch the video on the OP, it is a good representation of a wet Touring Car race which could pull of a few surprises to the unsuspecting ...

Yeah. I'm faster in the wet, than in the dry. :lol: I'm ready. I'm just saying, though, that the VLN series runs whatever GT5's weather system throws at us. I plan on putting it to 0% at 5 changeability, and leaving it. (though, during qualifying, I'll make it nice and sunny, so that people don't gain advantage by running their fast lap early/late.

If tested the tyre wear differences and it similar to ITCC. Tyre wear will only be used for the Feature Race as a mandatory pit stop is required. The Lexus is based a 1010kg,so ballast is required to bring it to weight limit. The BMW is the heaviest in the bunch at 1150kg, but its the easiest car to drive. If I had upped the power for it, then it was proving to be over a second faster. From my testing all the cars are within 0.6 seconds off each other. But different drivers get more out of certain cars than others. That's why preseason is going to make sure that all cars are equal ...

Yes we are ... got picture up on the OP ... The Lexus is a fast but tricky car to drive ... But it's probably the most entertaining of the bunch ...
 
With or without ABS? :lol: I'm faster without ABS in VLN & Bankfin.
 
Haha ... found a new loophole in the game I see :lol: ... I tend to run with ABS on 1 as I'm a DS3 user myself ... No point locking up into every corner I approach ...

But I want to keep all aids off, except ABS, to give it more of a realistic feel and promote clean and tight racing ...

I use DS3 too. 0 ABS helps me, since I've NEVER raced with ABS in real life. I know how to approach corners without from real experience.
 
My hands are too rough on the DS3 compared to my right foot in a real car ... :)
 
@Nizmo: I would use the Toyota Altezza and not the Atenza ;) (as said in my first post page 2 ;))

FF/FR tire wear:
FF´s always had and always will have more Tire wear !! It´s because one axle has to do 2 things instead of only one in the FR´s.
Steering and Acceleration which is split for the FR´s.

=> With tuning you get to an almost equal Tire-wear (but still more than FR´s).
=> Weight advantage

So when does this series take place ?? cause 22:00 at Saturday will interfer with ITCC
 
My bad Sake ... I read wrong ... I shall rectify my mistake ...
It's actually going to be run on Sunday nights at 21:00 your time ... from next week my Friday and Saturday nights are going to be too hectic with ITCC, CTSCC and VLN.

But this means I can´t make it.
I have the K-Car CC at Sundays at 20pm my time and I have to get to work Mondays.

If I can make it, could I be a Reserve driver ?? (I would let you know if I can make it)

Well you can be a reserve driver if you want, but what time/day would suit you?
 
Don´t make it a day just that I could fit in ;)
I´m happy to be a reserve driver so keep a fix date that mainly suits you.
