this is the discussion thread for BANKFIN TOURING CAR SERIES S2,
this thread is still partially under construction so please be patient,
bankfinlogo_zpsc748d27e.jpg

As some of you may or may not know, Nismodr3 has left it up to me to take on season 2 as he is retiring from the online gaming as a full time competitor to a part time roll as he can no longer commit himself full time for personal reasons, as season 1 was such a hit I'm creating this thread as a discussion on the vehicles, tracks and rules for season 2 as it has shown interest from current racer's and had expressions of interest from new comers,

THE NEW LIST, NOT ALL SPECS ARE SET IN CONCRETE YET, BUT THIS IS THE BASE LINE,

Don't drop the Evo chassis, just swap it for the HKS C230R premium chassis it has 20/50 downforce ratio. And if you are thinking about using TC cars then remember not to add the R32 it doesn't turn in for s__t, and should only be used as a one make race entry.

Evo X TC and CR-Z TC ? Prius doesn't go to 350 BHP, in addition im testing the Impreza TC at Fuji tonight on Nizmo's permition and its running 310BHP and 1150 and its very fast, an underlining performance factor for all cars should have downforce levels of 20 front (rear doesn't mater that much with these cars), that would take the Civic and Golf out

cool bud, hopefully I can turn up and see how it goes, this is all work in progress and I'm not sure on top BHP's so any information on cars is much appreciated, do you know what the maximum BHP for the prius is?

and some bloke had the CR-Z at Tsukuba last week, It was reasonably competitive, I'm unsure as to the specs but I believe it was similar to the BMW specs, not all these cars will be raced pending a pre season event,

Honda CRZ specs, 325/1020 ... weight is lower due to 325 being the most power it can make ...

cheers bud, can we expect to see a cameo appearance in season 2?

awesome, this stupid thing isn't letting me save the last 4 cars as a different file so I can upload it to photobucket, grrr, still to upload

CR-Z TC
CT230 R
BLITZ Skyline
RE RX-7

What do you think about my 20 front downforce policy, that way you wouldn't get anomalies in cars like this Seasons Impreza and Evo, all the other cars are 20 front and would be more easy to balance BHP and weight as they all would have similar grip levels

perhaps 350BHP, It does have adjustable front aero???

TDZdave
yeah because the lack of 4WD and aero points are the came, a GT500 or GT300 or AWD skyline monster would be highly unfair,

Just wanted to make sure ;)

Also, how many cars do you want to have?

thats cool bud, well the best thing that I found with ITCC was variety, so I understand that probably all FF cars will get ignored and waste away to the background but its nice to have variety,

No DTM, GT 300/500 or Super Touring cars

hell no!!! maybe the mercedes evo II race car, but I would have to see the spec's personally,

the EVO X TC doesn't have a 20 point nose it only has 15, hence why we are looking at the HKS 230 R, and honestly, if a season 3 does come around I'm thinking of phasing out 4WD cars, and lowering the BHP so people venture toward the FF cars too, this was the only touring car series available that no one used the FF in it, which for me that was weird, my marketing idea is to offer something outside the box with a touring car feel, hence the new lists, but the vehicles you have listed are the base line and will remain in the series, apart from the EVO X, that's a little to heavy with 15 points downforce, it will become the same as the current evo

You sure, the EVO IX has but didn't know about the EVO X, if so just switch to the HKS version

and very similar weight, I do like this list, do you think any BHP or weight modifications need to be made?

HKS and Impreza are the new cars won't know until we get a full grid racing and see a certain car march to the front, I see the 4wd cars being fastest
BLITZ and Amuse are also acceptable if you want a change

I'm thinking the AEM S2000 as the AMUSE might have some form of diffuser set up underneath it, its mighty quick in testing,

Maybe a freelance car entry system, if it has 15 - 20 units of front downforce you can enter it
TOYOTA ALTEZZA LM RACE CAR PROPOSED SPEC 325BHP/ 1100KG
Yea, for what ever reason this car is stupidly fast, was used in TOCA and was banned because it was that quick, no idea why

yeah we noticed that first time around, but its got 70KG more weight on it then last time around, its like the CLK in DTM, it has more aero points then anything else, but take aero off and its still stupidly quick, its a chassis thing,

my hope is that it goes to someone that is a hobby racer and doesn't know to much about setting cars up, then they are still fast and don't rage quit because they get owned,

I'm happy with the free lance system, as long as they don't turn up and expect to use what they brought on race day, I would happily spec it first, hence the huge list,

Dude if that is the car list I have a way to balance these cars out were no one car will out shine another. Ill put together a spreadsheet for you that will match all chassis together, and another test that makes sure all cars can draft pass all cars instead of drafting up to a fast car, but not being able to pass him just close a little. Trust me!

I can start work on it tomorrow night'

I would just try to keep all cars 20/50 downforce ratio to be on the safe side.
