Banner Ads: We have a problem

I just got one with audio. It was a safe guader alarm system. I didn't get the product name exactly, but it was advertising an alarm that goes off when a door in the house is opened. It was one of those "as seen as TV ads"
 
Alright it happened again. This time advertising a futuristic phone. The company's name is Innovative Products. It looks like they sell all those cheesy "as seen on TV" products. From the alarm I was talking about before, to this phone, and I am sure a blender somewhere.

Innovative Products. Go get them Jordan.
 
So we agree that audio advertisements on websites is just about the most obnoxious thing to ever happen? The <blink> tag coming in first (:

You guys complain about ads too much. Who really cares if they are double or something, just scroll down the page more. It doesn't take that much work to scroll.
 
I just don't like the ausio ones. Everything I am cool with. I say, good for Jordan, about time he got something out of this web-site bisides me complaining about things!
 
Yeah, Jordan, I'm not complaining about ads in general, but I want to bring this to your attention:

I didn't get either the "Men loving men" or any talking ads until after you mentioned that you had told the ad broker to filter those, and I've gotten both within the last 24 hours. So if the filtering is supposed to be in place, it's not working currently.
 
I don't know if someone has said this already but, I'm not getting a single ad on this site at all. Why am I so special? Ever since i've been here i've never seen one. What's wrong with me (or right depending on which side you're on)? :confused: :confused:
 
About 1/2 of the pages I go to have a sound ad on them....verrrry irritating. The push button phone one, the alarm system, and something else that I didnt pay attention to.
 
OK, here's the deal. Once I've blocked ads from rotation, then there is no way they should still be seen on the site. I have now removed the entire agency (Burst Media) that has been responsible for all of the audio ads, gfizz ads, and video ads from the site. I'll also try to fix the double ads as soon as I can find time.

...instead of an actual ad.

Maybe it's time to take up donations, so that Jordan doesn't have to deal with the issues... ;)

Nice going Jordan. I am sorry that the ad agency was giving you such a hard time and you had to dump them. Not very professional. I hope you didn't lose to much over the whole thing. Whatever other ad companies you are working with seem to be doing well though. Some of the companies I see advertised here shock me. Meaning, big name companies, like Sprint, Western Union, and some other nationwide corps! 👍

Could also be linked to advertising that have been advertised on sites affiliated or directly advertising with GTP. If you get that jumbled wording.

But GTP has become a big site, so I'm not surprised. I'm not getting some ads. They may not be linked properly, as I only get that stupid small icon box with the red X. But I do get a few ads. I only get 1 popup though: "Tickle".

Well now that I'm thuroughly addicted to GTP, I wouldn't mind paying a few bucks a month for it. Maybe something like $20 a year without ads would be cool. Heck, I pay $50 for XBox Live and don't even use it.

Get rid of Xbox Live and pay GTP. It's cheaper. ;) (This is me being hypocritical, but I don't have access to a Credit Card and my parents would kill me if I used PayPal) :lol:

I'm having trouble finding this ad in any of our rotations as it is international (I can't see it because I'm not in Germany). I'll keep looking, please see if you can tell what ad network it is coming from should it appear again.

I don't see why google ads aren't on this site.

Ugh!!! :mad: That pisses me off to no end. The problem is I can't find "QuestionMarket.com" in any of our rotations. Is that popup matched with a banner ad at the top of the page?
