I dont understand much about aerodynamics, but it looks smaller and less clumsy to me, especially towards the rear.

Maybe, but it is in the red/grey/black scheme of Lucky Strike and I dont suppose they're getting their colors displayed for free.

I see they have the really small gearbox like ferrari did last year.

The wings at the rear on the engine cowling is indeed for more downforce because of the restrictions on the size of the rear wing.

i also think honda will deliver this year. i was supporting jordan last year, but now that sato is at BAR, I hope they improve a lot. Its nice rooting for a team that you know has extreme potential, and has 3 incredible drviers.

All these comments about the car being that colour because the team doesn't have many sponsors are utter rubbish. the team is owned by a Tobacco company, hence the Lucky Strike and 555 sponsorships. BAR is nothing more than a high profile billboard for BAT!

Yes, but they need other sponsors because BAT are not happy at the amount of money the whole thing is costing, plus they're looking for an exit strategy for the 2006 tobacco ban.

I do agree in principal though Kristof - it's primarily a design thing.

don't you think it's weird how the nose cones of F1 cars started out on the floor, then Benetton pioneered the raised nose and all the other teams followed suit. Now the noses are beginning to get lower and lower again.

That is not true - the first F1 car with a raised nose was the 1990 Tyrrell Ford 019. Gorgeous looking car.
