Davidson: "Qualifying Was Horrible"

Lee Davidson made his comment on a disastrous qualifying for Honda after the session:

"It was horrible, it felt as if I lost traction control. 16th isn't the best position to start in but it could be worse. I feel we have a good car that's suited to the circuit, aslong as the TC problem doesn't show up again, I reckon I could nab a point or two."

Renault's Will Whitcomb starts on pole.

I made a little tool in Visual Basic 6.0 for easy adjustment of setups for the wet.

You put in what the engineer says the adjustments for full wet are, select the degree of wetness and whether it's from dry -> wet or wet -> dry, put your current setup in the boxes, click adjust, and voila! It outputs the adjusted values. :)

Enjoy. 76kb exe.

edit!: Just realised I forgot the wings. Editing file now.

Do not use the file attached to this post. The proper (meaning fixed) tool is two posts down.

Suz, what's the reason behind your "Bite Me" nick? It's not one of Ash's ideas, was it?

(I find "Bite Me" funny.)

edit: I've fixed my little tool, it's now ready for you guys (and gals) to use :D Feedback welcome (mind you, I made it in about an hour. It's functional, and that's all I wanted).

Wow, just give everyone who doesn’t understand how to handle the wet a tool why don’t you…

I got 18th in qualifying, but 3rd in warmup. But qualification went on without me being ready for it (I was asleep)

Chris.

As long as you set your strategy for it and have done your setup in practice you dont need to be up for it:D

I did, but for some reason it qualified me in 18th, then my teammate didn't send me the setup until after I went to sleep and stole the win.

CCYoshi's Super Fancy Momentum-O-Meter: SEASON 7! Bahrain

Looking Up: :D
Renault: Strong as always, 2nd and 5th are good results, especially for its two drivers (Haswell and Whitcomb) who had relatively mediocre previous seasons. Only team to double-point finish.

Butler: A strong finish in his first race back after a season break. Can he keep it up? Could use some more strong finishes - has never seemed to do exceptionally well over a whole season. (at least past S3)

Diversity: Toro Rosso, Renault, McLaren, Midland, Williams, Red Bull, Ferrari, oh my! 7 different teams are on the board for points already - can the constructor's battle top last season's?

---

On the Edge: :scared:

McLaren (the driver): An excellent finish after a so-so previous season - will the better car under him help him fight for the championship this time around? Negative points for having to differentiate driver and team.

Hutchinson: One of two retirements, and a mechanical problem for Ferrari. Certainly Ferrari isn't too happy with only 1 point for a top team...

Paajanen: Who? Another rookie sensation coming from nowhere and stealing the win at the first race - but I'm reserving judgement until he proves to be able to score points in more than one race (if you know who I mean!)

---

Falling Down: :banghead:

Super Aguri: Not the best of starts for the team. Despite 2 combined driver's championship and many wins in between, qualified in the back 5, and one retired in the race (although due to a collision) and the other finished midfield. Will Aguri fight back?

Domingues: An encouraging start to the season - many driver mistakes cost time and 12 positions over the course of the race.

Toyota/BMW Sauber: Down there with Super Aguri in the race - not very impressive performances by any of the drivers. But, with only one race in the books, it's hard to tell how things will really end up...

(Season predictions after Sepang!)

It's back now.

Chang put the Honda on pole, while his team mate Bee ended up in 16th! What happened there??

I'm right behind my teammate in warm-up, qualified worse than last time.

From,
Chris.

My teammate sucks! 👎

Anyway, I really like to drive with one of you guys in a private game (F1 2002) at Sauber and kick some ass, anybody interested?

ID= 8932 and the password is "Ivo" and since I already got Thinker & Speed Demon, it'll probably be best if you take Pole King & Wet Weather Warrior :D
