Right, for the sake of everyone. I'm going to nod and agree. And get Bee to explain it in full to me later. As i'm sure he will understand what your saying, and can explain it in laymans terms (Y)

OK real basic. XGT Taipan controls the Simo Haya account. He doesn't want to use that account anymore, so he's given control of it to Yoshi. So you do not have an AWOL teammate.

Ok. Can everybody please shut up unless they know the details. (With exception to CCY, Sting and Laura)

I am giving my whole Simo Hayha account to CCYoshi FOREVER. It is no longer mine.

I already have a KT account, so does Monique... we don't need a third, and CCY has always been a big contributer to GTP seasons with his race reports and wakey stories. So I thought I'd reward his efforts, as Bee did for Appie last season (if that example makes sense to you all), by giving him KT.

Only problem was, I joined RBR as Jamez Shepherd this season to replace an AWOL Matt Keller, and I would never get the satisfaction of feeling like I actually one a season when using an alias (Simo Hayha).

So therefore, nobody is going AWOL... Yoshi joins GTP in the lead of the championship as Simo Hayha. Monique and myself are still playing.

And no, whoever it is that keeps saying that Monique is me, you are very wrong! She is actually playing, and yes, it's the same chick who whipped all your arses at Magny Cours 2 seasons ago in the 06 Aguri, from the back of the grid!!!!

I've simply given her a big write-out on race strategy and setups etc, when to and when not to change qualifying run times etc, changing tyre usage... and pretty much everything involved in each race.

I don't understand you guys, why are you accepting quitters to come back? That tard Keller quitted in S7 with a Midland, quitted in S9 with a Toyota and now does the same in a Red Bull for the current season. Don't you "so called" admins learn your lessons one day or something? Man those kind of people are lucky I'm not the one in charge. All those current situations could be prevented.

If we used the system that I developed last season (to replace the lottery) AWOL drivers wouldn't be a problem to anyone who is a commited team player, because they would be cycled out of the good teams and either forced out for a season, or stuck to a crap team, while the respected team players climb the ranks and enjoy the spoils.

And it would mean that being in a top team isn't always possible for good players. So it's not like we'd see Dubois and Beyens in Ferrari, forever dominating (for example, no disrespect to other great players).

I seriously think we should rethink our system, just for the sake of filtering out the uncommited AWOL'ers.

Here is the link to the system I suggested. Please read through it again to see if there is any possible flaws you can think of in it. Because quite simply the lottery isn't perfect either. It's too easy for AWOL'ers to just jump in an ruin a season (take Ferrari this season, they should be winning if not for Dylan).

Edit: Please keep in mind that the example shown for all the drivers was as of Montreal S10, not current.

Don't mention that name to me. Sick and tired of AWOL players

Ok. How about as of the half way point of S12, I'll post everybodys percentages and whether they've met their expectations or not. We'll give it a try, see what people think, and if it doesn't work well we can always go back to lottery.

Sound fair?

I just think it's worth a try, because it's a lot easier to decide in practice than trying to explain it to everybody who doesn't understand, and chosing like that.

Right so just because one "Great" player decides that the system is wrong, we are gonna move to a different system?

Nobody said that. I just think that there's enough complaining going around about AWOL's, so I'm trying to help fix it, obviously the lottery isn't doing justice in the 'fair play' field.

Jef has said it, Guilliame has said it. Appie has complained about the lack of team mate, Bram has made comments on the lack of team mate... despite still being fast :odd: Bruno was extremely greatful to finally have a team mate, which made it obvious that a lack of teammie was concerning him. Neither Willaims drive has bothered to Practice yet.

That's a fairly large chuck of the field. Surely you cannot ignore that? Something needs to be done, and maybe now people will start to listen to me, because my system makes up for what the lottery is lacking.

I think theres one fundamental problem.... we dont have 22 people who are fully commited to the GTP game.

Fourth pole 👍

Simo's in 22nd for tomorrow and Danny's back in the middle of the field, an excellent opportunity to attack that first driver standings spot 👍

Yep. For the lazier folks:

But then others can join and then go awol as in Dylan's case.

That's where my system filters them out. They can't join top teams when they first sign up, and if they go AWOL in their first season their percentage is so low that another new driver will have a higher preference of a race seat than they do.

We will always have a really competitive season with all the commited players occupying the top half of the field, and the AWOL's or learners staying towards the back until they learn how to play. So everybody gets treated as fairly as they would in a real situation.

I don't see why you are all against it. Everything that you're complaining about gets fixed with the system I designed. Nobody has any hard work to do, just play to your best every race, choose three drivers you would like to replace next season, get your new seat, start the new season... work your way to the top.

Simple.

I agree. I've had my fair share of AWOL players over my seasons. I think we should have a 1 strike and you're out for good blanket rule.

How many spots are still left next season by the way? I haven't been keeping up to date, been very ill.

Not too many victories but you were incredibly consistant, well done 👍

As for my public F1 2007 season:

Hopefully, I can catch my first title in this season 👍

Well first thing that should be in place is not to tell quitters back in over and over...I mean that's just common sense. Hard to do?

Heh I believe in second chances personally, look at Appie, he was AWOL and now he's active as anyone.
