Hey guys, what would be the best car to take out in the GTS class of LMES? I was under the impression as Aston was good, but I came dead last when I did a season in it, so now I'm looking at using something else when I get an LMES game slot opening up in about four days. I'm thinking I should take the 'Vette out, but if the season goes badly, I might not go back to LMES for a very LONG time. I seem to be having all manner of bad luck lately; in the Aston, I retired from 8 of the 16 races, and no-one else in the class had more than about 3.

If I don't go for GTS, I might jump in a LMP1. Maybe the Pescarolo ...

I would assume the pesca is the 3rd fastest car on the grid if you do 👍

Yes, the Pescarolo would be third quicked outright in LMP1.

For GTS, it's highly possible to win in any of the given cars. I've seen people dominate in any of them. The Aston is my personal preference, but failing that any of the others could get the job done. I'd tend to lean towards the Corvette though.

Astons are my preference too, I've taken some (or helped teammates take) championships in those several times. Mid-season Dodges and 'Vettes were decent, the Lambo too, but the Fezza was disappointing.

I'd take the Lambo over the Aston any time. :sly:

2nd - Le Mans Endurance Series (#29986) - July 2008
Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT - Lamborghini V12 - Yokohama
495 points; 2 wins; 6 podiums; 2 poles; 0 fastest laps

4th - Le Mans Endurance Series (#27126) - May 2008
Aston Martin DBR9 - Aston Martin Racing V12 - Michelin
469 points; 2 wins; 6 podiums; 3 poles; 2 fastest laps

Sure, those games look similar stat-wise, but I found it was much easier to be consistent in the Lambo. Plus it's a Lambo, so it looks awesome.

The Viper is horrendous. Well, it was when I midseasoned into one after Sebring...

Bentley Speed 8 - Bentley 3.6L V8 - Yokohama
571 points; 8 wins; 11 podiums; 3 poles; 1 fastest laps

Plus several seconds and thirds, almost all with champion teammates. And you don't want Danny to come along and whoop our combined asses, don't you?

These cars represent what I believe are the fastest cars in their respective classes - the Courage also works with an AER engine, which is faster yet less reliable, and the Lola is a strong challenger too - but these are essentially the top cars. Also note, all my LMES knowledge and success should be credited to Danny, who taught and brought these to me.

But two wins and a podium less :p

5th - Le Mans Endurance Series (#32116) - September 2008
TVR 440R - TVR Speed Six - Yokohama
396 points; 1 wins; 3 podiums; 0 poles; 3 fastest laps
Horrible car, the TVR. I won Le Mans by two minutes in it though

Lister Storm LMP - Mopar W8 R3 - Michelin
394 points; 1 wins; 2 podiums; 0 poles; 0 fastest laps
Midseason at about the middle of the season: the Mopar engine is goddamn awful. Only picked up a win (Le Mans) by taking a pretty big weather gamble.

Zytek 03S - Zytek ZG348 - Kumho

Note the 5 poles. That combo is great for pole-sitting, and I did that without PSK.

Yes Danny, you're way better than me at LMES. I know that. ;)

I'm more than handy at LMES myself, and as good in MR2s as you are in LMES :p

I do like the Courage and the Porsche, but I'm trying to work out a rotational basis so that I can run through decent drives without killing the fun for me. The Aston was absolutely appalling, but I did enjoy using the Modena, GT3 and C65.

I've had a rotten week. I keep swapping to wet tyres in bone dry conditions in my first ever game, BTCC, I've won 2 races this season :D

My Macca teamie still hasn't turned up. Who is it?

If he doesn't turn up, should we give it to Appie? Or someone else maybe?

Appie's in the Aguri, and your team mate is Camyron Jackson, apparently.

Kill you to look, Duncan?

I just signed up for a public Le Mans series. I passworded it if anyone is interested in joining me in the Ferrari 360 :)

Edit: I was also wondering about clans. I remember someone in this thread saying Genki Racing was the 'unofficial' GTP clan, but I can't seem to find out how to join. Someone care to help me out?

Bee made the official clan now, he'll have to send you an invite.

Who is Camyron?

It might.

That would be me. Because I signed up for the champ car game only to relize I can't do more then one private game like an idiot, I can't take the Mclaren like I wanted:indiff: You guys can give it to Appie.

I dont think Mike is in either, unless we wait for Danny's F199 to finish. If Mike and anyone else without KT pull out I'll still buy KT but if you guys can wait a week or so I'll do that.

The game is a mess. I think we should delete it, sort out who goes where, then try again?

Also, Sharky, I had quite a few 3rds and the likes. I don't count them, they don't matter. MR2s don't count either, they don't matter as well. The order is: Danny > Me > You, as far as LMES goes. And LMES matters. ;)

But I do agree, your V8s Solo was truly epic.
