Charkaoui To Jump Ships Next Season?
Toyota race driver Appie Charkaoui has hinted at a dream move to rivals Honda in an exclusive interview.
He mentioned it would be great to team up either of the current Honda drivers, Simon Trendell or Lee Davidson. Both having contracts that only last to the end of the year makes Appie's chances alot higher and if he continues his good form from Nurburgring where he finished a season best 2nd, he could catch the attention of the Japanese manufacture.
Butler Fed Up With Torro Rosso Pace.
Ashley Butler, lead driver in the Torro Rosso team has spoken out at the teams apparent lack of pace after practice earlier today where he set a time 1.5s off the pace.
"It appears my setups can win but my car cant.. It's a shame really, I need a competitive car so badly." He said as he entered the stunning 3 story motorhome. Theres a rumour going around that he is looking at a return to the McLaren gararge after racing for them in 2002, niether party have spoken of a possible transfer.
Lee Davidson: "Keeping My Options Open"
Honda driver Lee Davidson has reportedly postponed negotiations with Honda for a new contract incase a more desirable seat appears.
"Yes I have been in talks with the team but right now I'd like to keep my options open incase a drive I like the look of becomes available." Davidson said earlier today, "We would love to keep Lee at the team, he brings an amazing ability of setting up the cars, obviously from his testing experience, and his race craft is improving every race" Said Team Manager, Nick Fry.
