Well I lost my interest but why cant I join resign from the competitions then:irked: I dont think I'm a useless teamm8 if I just have to hold my spot cause I'm pretty much idle since school got a bit more active.

I presume you mean me :) I'm just having a bit of fun playing the part - I honestly don't mind if I finish dead last.

How the hell do you guys get two driver's characteristics?
 
I joined Blake's game. Hope you don't mind me kookin' a roadkill there too....

This is shaping up to be a decent game. I placed third in the first race (Private #452, Production Class), and am at the top of the warmup pile for Production, as it sits now. All my settings are "Spot On", so it looks like it could be a close race, which starts in a little over 5 hours.

However, it appears that there are some inactive people (already) in my game. Does anyone know if I can kick them?


Edit - Blake, I'm going to join your game if there are any other competitors in Production. There are none so far, but if people join up, then I might too.

In which game? The 2006 season games allow 2 characteristics. I don't think any of the others do.
 
ATTN: To all of my team-mates and in general really.

I'm off in an hour or two to spend some time with my father. Unfortunatly he doesn't have internet so I won't be able to play the game unless I get on his office computer.

In both of my games (btcc and gp02), I see two characteristics. I was only allowed to select one.

i thought the 2006 cars had been downgraded (though not power wise it seems) by 2 cyliners to a v8 :odd:
correct me if im wrong, just something i heard someone say :dunce:

no, he's correct with the V10 bit.

While the majority of the grid is running 2.4L V8's, toro rosso did made the decision to run rev restricted V10's [whatever their reason was... it was probably the cheaper option]
 
I believe that there is 1 team that still has a v10 because of finacial reasons.

thanks for that :), so im presuming the new rules stated that a v8 or restriced v10's were to be used for the 2006 season.

God damn it, man. Looks like that pit strat sucked big time. We had the fastest laps of the race, though, damn it.

Cheers to whoever smashed into me and was forced to retire. Can't touch this.
 
A mixed bag of results for me in the 5 seasons I'm playing. A stall on starting putting me dead last on lap 1 but finishing 3rd was pretty impressive. Mostly bad luck with pitstops and strategy, as opposed to bad setups.

2.4 litre V8s are to be used, however teams have the option to use a V10 engine that has the maximum crankshaft speed limited to a speed that will make them less competitive than V8s. Though, currently it’s set at 16,70 RPM and they’re probably a little better than V8s in terms of overall perforamnce.

Plus, they’ll run all day without failing.
 
I just had an idea, why don't we start sorting out the seats for next season's gtp championship now.

So, post what seat you want for next season, however current drivers at that team get priority, so for example, if there's 3 drivers wanting to race at Honda but myself and Simon (Impreza04) wish to keep our seats, we take priority, (As if we just had a contract extension or something.) If your a driver that wishes to switch teams, drivers at the current team have to decide if they want to stay or go, if they wish to go, the first driver that stated intrest in their seat gets it.

This can easially fish out the players who are no longer playing and replace them for commited drivers next season.

I'll be more then happy to take the Midland again.

I'll be even more happy when we work out how to attach a front wing correctly to our car. It's failed twice in 2 races now!
