Bee, got a big season review write up coming soon? (I always enjoy them)

Infact I'm in the process of making one. Should be done tomorrow, I'm up to Silverstone. 👍

As you might have noticed, I signed up for Spewy Aguri. I didn't worry about pre-booking this seat as I know nobody wanted it. Damien Adams, my team mate, is actually my flat mate, who helps look after a whole heap of things I do on the internet. He spends as much time looking at GTP as me so I convinced him to join.

ah man who's the Bob Smith dude and why the hell can't he read the damn instructions before joining.?

I would like to join a team.
Please list any restrictions, as well as the game number. I am already registered in Batracer, and hosted a BTCC series a couple months back.

14. Steve West - blue_sharky39

I'm calling myself Jeff Richards, so you guys know.

ImprezaAddict, read the rules before joining any team at will! Please.

The only restriction is team, because drivers first are confirmed for places new people more often have to go for open slots. If I'm right, there is a slot open at Toyota and two at Torro Rosso according to Bee's driver list on page 77. But you better wait for Bee to confirm that.

Only thing i can think of is imprezaaddict giving you his login details but i cant see that happening..

Yep that's correct, Slicks, join whoever you wish.
👍

…so, when do I get my seat? :nervous:

We are currentally discussing options in the game. These are:

Delete this game, wait for 7 days untill the A1GP is finished then start it again.

Ask ImprezaAddict to give you his login details, then you can change the name blah blah blah and he will have to make a new account to join a different team.

Start the game with you at either Toro Rosso or Toyota, but seeing as you are ment to be at Ferrari, that will probably not happen.

Well, I don’t want you all to have to wait if you want to go on without me. It is not my decision, at this point. It is up to ImprezaAddict. :indiff:

Has anyone tried to PM ImprezaAddict and ask real nicely to help fix up the situation? Not sure if he (she?) checks the thread that often.

Just trying to make things work - don't want to throw away that 4th fastest practice time! :P

Whether we wait seven days or just delet and start over this game is still going to get deleted right?

I vote to just delete and start over if something else can't be worked out. I can wait seven days too.

well, I wouldn't mind waiting 7 days
but if deleting the game is faster, lets just delete it and start a new one using the PM style.
But yeah, I don't want to throw out my best practice time to-date :P

Well Ash is the owner of the game so, ultimately, it's his choice.

I dont mind waiting 7 days if it comes to it either. 👍

Oh and whilst I'm posting:

Season Review

Bahrain: Pole: Carl Audet (Renault)
Winner: Carl Audet (Renault)

The first race of season 2 was again at Bahrain, Season 1 Champ Carl Audet looked competitive from the start of practice to the final lap. It was also a race where the new drivers had to prove their worth to their employees. The highest finishing rookie was Marc Pianelli, who finished 9th in the Williams. Audet led from lights to flag in a dominent display following on from Season 1. Ferrari showed their potential for the season with Beyens in 2nd and new driver Blake Haswell, formerly at Toro Rosso, a highly creditable 3rd. Season 1 runner up Simon Trendell took 4th place in his Honda with Ashley Butler having a competitive first race with Toro Rosso in 5th. Andrew Lewis, now at Red Bull, took 6th place ahead of Lee Davidson in 7th. Dennis Groper took the final point in 8th.

The results ment Ferrari were top of the constructors with Renault 2nd and Honda 3rd.

Malaysia: Pole: Simon Trendell (Honda)
Winner: Blake Haswell (Ferrari)

Next up was the Malaysian GP at Sepang, usually including variable weather conditions, this season was no exception. The start of the race was under a cludless blue sky, the end however was under a giant dark cloud with rain falling heavilly. Trendell took his first pole of the season for Honda but it was Haswell who took the win, and a dominent win at that, 50 seconds ahead of second placed Trendell. Groper impressed in the BMW taking his first podium finish in 3rd with Bahrain winner Carl Audet 4th. Haswell's team mate Jef Beyens was fith after loosing fourth on the last lap. Adam Bond scored points for Red Bll in 6th place with Joe Blow 7th in the WIlliams. 8th was Lee Davidson who struggled throughout the race.

The result futhered Ferrari's lead in the constructors, whilst Blake Haswell took 1st place in the drivers with his win.

Australia: Pole: Steve Travis (McLaren)
Winner: Blake Haswell (Ferrari)

We went down south next for the Australian GP, home race for a number of drivers, it was however American Steve Travis who got his McLaren onto pole. He led the race untill lap 51 when his rear wing failed pitching him into the barrier, another notible retirement was Simon Trendell in the Honda, his throttle gave up on lap 48 and he pulled over with no drive. After Travis' misfortune, Australian Blake Haswell went on to win his home race, his 2nd win in a row. Audet got back onto the podium in second with Davidson finishing in 3rd, his first visit to the podium. Jef Beyens was right on the Honda's rear wing but failed to captialise and finished 4th, Lloyd Ramos finally got McLaren off the mark in 5th with Steve West a highly creditible 6th in his first home GP, Duncan Hutchison scored his first points of the season in 7th for Renault with Andrew Lewis again getting the Red Bull in the points in 8th.

Haswell now had a 3 point advantage over Audet, Jef Beyens was 3rd on 17 points. Ferrari still led the constructors ahead of Renault with Honda 3rd.

San Marino: Pole: Jef Beyens (Ferrari)
Winner: Lee Davidson (Honda)

Ferrari's home track saw a Ferrari at the front of the grid and at the back of the grid in qualifying. It was Jef Beyens however on pole with championship leader Blake Haswell 20th. It was however not going to be a race remembered by the Tifosi as by the end of the race, beyens fell out of the points in 9th with Haswell a distant 11th. The race win went to Lee Davidson in the Honda, 20 seconds ahead of second placed Dennis Groper in the BMW. Duncan Hutchison took his first podium in 3rd place, beating his team mate Audet for the first time due to Audet's DNF. Nathan Soyfu took home Midland's first points of the season in a great 4th place, ahead of Joe blow in 5th for williams and Simon Trendell in 6th for Honda. the 2 Red Bulls of Lewis and Bond took 7th and 8th.

In the drivers, Davidson took advantage of the top 3 not scoring any points in the race and jumped to 3rd place in the standings. Haswell still led with Audet second. In the constructors, Honda overtook Renault into 2nd, Ferrari still led even without scoring any points.

Europe: Pole: Brad Horton (Midland)
Winner: Carl Audet (Renault)

Nurburgrin saw the first of many poles for Midland with Brad Horton taking the top grid slot after a superb qualifying performance. His grid position however ultimatley did not materialise into his finishing position. Instead it was Carl Audet who picked up his second win of the season. Appie Charkaoui finished second for Toyota with Lloyd Ramos taking home 3rd in his McLaren. Lee Davidson continued his run of points finishes in 4th with Horton finishing a second behind him in 5th. The second Honda of Simon Trendell was 6th with Steve Travis scoring his first points of the season in 7th. Andrew Lewis finished in the points yet again for Red Bull in 8th. Both Ferrari's failed to score again with Beyens 13th and Haswell retiring after a driver error on lap 5.

This ment Audet took back the championship lead with a 7 point advantage over Blake Haswell. Lee Davidson got within 2 points of the Australian in 3rd. In the constructors Ferrari and Honda were tied at the top of the table on 43 points with Renault only 2 points behind in 3rd.

Spain: Pole: Blake Haswell (Ferrari)
Winner: Marc Pianelli (Williams)

Spain has always been a poor race for Ferrari and this was no exception. Haswell looked to be bucking the trend when he stuck his Ferrari on pole but by the first lap Trndell had overtaken him. During the race the weather took a dramatic turn for the worse and with cars flying off the track here, there and everywhere, it was American rookie Marc Pianelli who perserveered for a fantastic win in the Williams, it was his first points finish of the season. Charkaoui took his second second place finish on the bounce in the Toyota with Brad Horton a great 3rd place for Midland. The two Honda's of Trendell and Davidson followed in 4th and 5th with Nathan Soyfu completing Midlands best performance so far in 6th. Audet only managed 7th after choosing the wrong tyres at a pit stop and Blow managed to get Williams their first double points finish in 8th. Haswell yet again retired on lap 45 with Beyens 10th.

In the drivers, Haswell's retirments caught up with him and he dropped to third behind Davidson. Audet was still in first. In the constructors, Honda's consistancy payed off and they took first by themselves on 52 points, 9 points ahead of both Ferrari and Renault.

Monaco: Pole: Simon Trendell (Honda)
Winner: Simon Trendell (Honda)

Monaco in the past had been a good race for Honda with Davidson taking a brilliant win in season 1. It appeared to be going the team's way again in season 2 with both cars on the front row after qualifying. They kept in formation for the whole race, they appeared untouchable and took home their first 1-2, 60 seconds ahead of 3rd placed Jef Beyens, Duncan Hutchison took a well thought 4th for Renault ahead of Haswell in 5th for Ferrari, Lloyd Ramos took home 6th ahead of Spain winner Marc Pianelli in 7th. Ashley Butler scored his first points since the season opener in 8th. Carl Audet could only manage ninth.

In the driver's championship, Davidson's second place in the race put him ahead of Audet by a single point. 3rd was Simon TRendell after his win, yet again only a single point behind Carl Audet. In the constructors, Honda were now on 70 points, Ferrari were second on 53 points and Renault starting to fall behind in third on 48 points.

Britain: Pole: Simon Trendell (Honda)
Winner: Simon Trendell (Honda)

Again there was a Honda on pole, but this time there wasn't another one beside it. Trendell took pole for his Home GP but Davidson managed only 19th after problems in qualifying. Simon again led from lights to flag but it was by no where near as much lead, by the chequard flag Simon led 2nd placed Audet by 0.3 seconds, the second closest finish of the season. Haswell finally got back onto the podium in 3rd, Lloyd Ramos kept his points tally increasing with a 4th place. Joe Blow impressed in 5th place ahead of the two Midlands of Horton and Soyfu in 6th and 7th with Blow's team mate Pianelli in 8th.

In the drivers, Davidson's lead was gone and he fell from 1st to joint 3rd with Haswell. Audet kept second place with Trendell jumping to first with his second win on the bouce. Honda still had a healthy lead over Ferrari and Renault.

Canada: Pole: Blake Haswell (Ferrari)
Winner: Blake Haswell (Ferrari)

This race was widely considered as Ferrari's turning point. In qualifying they took 1-2 with their nearest competitors in the championship 6th and 7th. Davidson didn't even manage to set a time. Ferrari utterly dominated the race, sharing the lead between themselves, they came home the same order they started with Haswell taking the win and Beyens second. Behind them, Joe Blow produced a fantastic drive to take 3rd place in the WIlliams, 50 seconds ahead of 4th place Ashley Butler in a strong performance for Toro Rosso. Behind Butler was championship leader Simon Trendell in the Honda with Hutchison 6th for Rneault. Nathan Soyfu took advantage of the wet conditions and finished a creditable 7th in the Midland with Machiels taking his first point of the season in 8th for Toyota.

Haswell's win pushed him upto second behind Trendell in the driver's championship, Audet dropping to third. In the constructors, Honda still led Ferrari but had their lead dramatically cut. Renault were still third but were falling behind fast.

America: Pole: Nathan Soyfu (Midland)
Winner: Lee Davidson (Honda)

Honda needed a comeback for Ferrari's 1-2 at Montreal and they achieved it, with a little help from their friends. It was Soyfu who took pole at his home GP in the Midland but it was Groper who had quite possibly the best first lap of the season, gaining 11 places and leading the pack around by the end of the first lap. His lead wouldn't last though and it was Davidson who took the much needed race win, his team mate Simon Trendell took second. They were 2 of only 8 drivers to actually finish the race, the retirements included both Ferraris and Renaults meaning Honda had the perfect race. The Red Bulls of Bond and Lewis finished 3rd and 4th in the team's best finish of the season with Joe Blow continuing his run of good form in 5th. Steve West took home 6th in the Toro Rosso ahead of Bob Smith in 7th, his first points finish of the season. Ashley Butler rounded off the number of finishers in 8th, 1 lap down.

The result ment Honda undid all Ferrari's work at Montreal and boosted their championship lead back up. Renault were now in danger of loosing their 3rd to Williams. In the drivers, Trendell extended his lead to 10 points over both Blake Haswell and Lee Davidson.

France: Pole: Blake Haswell (Ferrari)
Winner: Blake Haswell (Ferrari)

After America, Ferrari needed to produce a counter attack, and they did it in style at Mangy-Cours. Starting 1-2 they controlled the race and finished that way with Haswell leading Beyens. The Honda's failed to score any points when Trendell finished a dissapointing 16th and Davidson retiring for the first time in the season with a gearbox failure. Brad Horton took a impressive podium for Midland just ahead of Audet in the Renault. Then their teammates followed in 5th and 6th with Soyfu edging out Hutchison. The two WIlliams' of Pianelli and Blow took 7th and 8th.

The result ment Haswell was now tied for the lead with Trendell in the drivers with Davidson loosing his 3rd place to Audet. In the constructors, Ferrari again cut Honda's lead to 7 points, Renault managed to steady their 3rd place.

Germany: Pole: Blake Haswell (Ferrari)
Winner: Blake Haswell (Ferrari)

Next up was Germany, a ritual groud for Ferrari legend Micheal Schumacher and it was Haswell that kept Ferrari's domenence running here with a lights to flag win yet again. He was 15 seconds ahead of his nearest competitor, Carl Audet who managed to get back onto the podium after a noted absence. Nathan Soyfu took another podium for Midland planting them in a battle with Williams for 4th in the constructors, Joe Blow finished 4th with Adam Bong enjoying a competitive race in 5th. Lee Davidson got back into the points in 6th scoring Honda's only points after Trendell lost his honda on the 65th lap. Lloyd Ramos finished 7th, half a minute behind Davidson with his team mate Steve Travis making a welcome return to the points in 8th.

The result ment Haswell now had a 10 point lead over Trendell and Audet who were tied on 56 points. I nthe constructors, Honda and Ferrari were now both tied on 105 points with 6 races to go, it was looking to be anyone's game.

Hungary: Pole: Brad Horton (Midland)
Winner: Lee Davidson (Honda)

Brad Horton was the suprise pole sitter for the Hungarian GP and looked set to win the race untill the last lap when the power of Lee Davidson's Honda made the Brit snatch first from the Australian's fingertips. It was the closest finish of the season with Davidson leading Horton over the line by 0.2 of a second, causing a delighted Davidson to chuck his helmet into the crowd! They were followed over the line by Horton's team mate, Nathan Soyfu. The two Ferrari's of Beyens and Haswell finished 4th and 5th with Trendell in the second Honda 6th. Repeating their performance in Germany, Ramos and Travis both finished in the points for McLaren in 7th and 8th. Niether Renault managed 10 laps before retiring.

The win for Honda gave them a 4 point advantage over Ferrari, it was now a 2 horse race with Rneault starting to slip into the clutches of Midland. I nthe driver's, Haswell's 4th place consolidated his lead with Davidson tieing with Trendell for second, 11 points behind.

Turkey: Pole: Brad Horton (Midland)
Winner: Jef Beyens (Ferrari)

Horton again took pole for the second time running proving he has mastered the new format, but again it would end in heartache for the young Aussie as with 3 laps to go Ferrari driver Jef Beyens managed to pass him for the win. beyens was delighted with hsi first win of the season, Horton was contempt with second. Davidson took third place with teammate Simon Trendell 4th. Soyfu completed yet another double score for Midland with 5th place ahead of Ashley Butler in the Toro Rosso. Lloyd Ramos again took home points for the third race in succession in 7th and Joe Blow picked up a point for 8th. Blake Haswell retired after a driver error on Lap 2.

Although Ferrari won the race, Honda infact scored 1 point more than their rivals increasing their lead to 5 points, in the drivers, Haswell's lead was cut to 5 points over Davidson with Trendell a point behind his team mate in third.

Italy: Pole: Nathan Soyfu (Midland)
Winner: Jef Beyens (Ferrari)

Yet again it was a Midland front row with Soyfu leading Horton, however again their qualifying pace did not transfer into their race pace. Instead it was Jef Beyens who took his second win of the season, and in succession, infront of Ferrari's home crowd. Simon Trendell completed a good race in 2nd with Blake Haswell back on the podium in 3rd, but only just. Hutchison managed to get side by side down the front straight and looked like he was going to snatch third away at the dying breath but Haswell held it to beat the Renault by 0.008 of a second! 5th was Horton for Midland with Charkaoui returning to the points in 6th, Carl Audet also ended his drought in 7th with pole sitter Soyfu managing only 8th place. Davidson retired on lap 21 after an accident on track.

Their stearling performance at home ment Ferrari took back the constructors lead by 3 points ahead of Honda. Renault and Midland were now started to fight for 3rd. Davidson's retirement made his chance of winning the championship alot lower with Haswell now 11 points ahead of him with Trendell in second, 4 points behind the Australian.

China: Pole: Brad Horton (Midland)
Winner: Blake Haswell (Ferrari)

With 3 races to go, Honda and Ferrari both needed to pull in good performances, for the latter that occoured but for Honda it was another pointless round. Horton was on pole in the Midland, with Soyfu again following his teammate onto the frotn row. But once again it was a frustrating afternoon for them, especially Horton who stalled off the line. Eventually Haswell took his first win since Germany 16 seconds ahead of Joe Blow who had his best finish of the season in 2nd. Adam Bond matched his best finish wit ha 3rd for Red Bull managing to hold off Hutchison in the Renault. 5th over the line was Jef Beyens in the second Ferrari finishing off a great weekend for the Italians, Soyfu was the only Midland in the points this time roudn with a 6th place finish ahead of Andrew Lewis in the second Red Bull and the retiring Season 1 champ Carl Audet in 8th.

With Honda not scoring, Ferrari's lead went up to 17 points, Honda now needed a small miricle at Suzuka. In the drivers, Haswell got one hand on the championship, 14 points now ahead of Trendell, he jus tneeded to finish in the top 3 to take the title at Japan.

Japan: Pole: Lee Davidson (Honda)
Winner: Brad Horton (Midland)

Davidson ended Midland's domination of qualifying by sticking his Honda on pole at it's home circuit. However it would be someone who hadn't won a race before who took the win, finally after many close races, Brad Horton took his maiden victory for Midland, causing the pit lane to drop their mouths in awe. Trendell followed Horton home in second with Jef Beyens taking a podium for Ferrari. Lloyd Ramos produce a good race to get his McLaren up to 4th ahead of Davidson who complained of exhaust problems. 6th was Ashley Butler again scoring points for Toro Rosso, 7th was Carl Audet with Nathan Soyfu taking 8th place on the last lap. A notable dissapearence was Blake Haswell who, as luck would have it, crashed out whilst leading the race on lap 16.

The result cut Blake's lead to 6 points, he was still favourite for the title but Trendell wasn't looking like he was going to give up to easially. Beyens was now in third ahead of Davidson. In the constructors, Ferrari were on 160 to Honda's 149, upsets were still posible, but not likely.

Brazil: Pole: Blake Haswell (Ferrari)
Winner: Blake Haswell (Ferrari)

And so the final race of the season, both championships were up for grabs but Haswell made Honda's job alot harder by bagging pole when he needed it most. By lap 27 however, both championships were made certain when Trendell ran off the track and into the barriers, obviously dissapointed he stayed in the car for around 3 minutes contemplating on the effort by the team. So the was no more pressure on the shoulders of Ferrari and Haswell managed to brign his home first and win the driver's title in style, Brad Horton produce the race of his life after starting dead last he crossed the line in 2nd, 3rd went to Appie Charkaoui in the Toyota ahead of the second Ferrari of Jef Beyens. Adam Bond compleated his last race for Red Bull in 5th after a stearling performance. Duncan Hutchison took home 6th for Renault ahead of the Honda of Lee Davidson, Ashley Butler collected the last point for Toro Rosso before he moved to McLaren for season 3.

It was an exillerating season, one that will be remembered for quite a while. Many congratulations to the winners, Blake Haswell in the drivers and Ferrari in the constructors.
