Heh, in Minardi news I'm still second in practice by 0.085 seconds. I picked it mainly for a challenge - since 1) I have an A1GP and now an F1 championship (plus an enormous ego) under my belt, and 2) I figure I can be competitive because half the people will get lazy and quit anyway. After all, 17 people have signed up and only 11 practiced o_O

And come on, whoever's left, hurry up and join Season 4 before I make vague threats to kick you out, even though I can't.

That happened to my teammate in an F1 Public Game ( I'm doing it right now)
He dropped out, just to let me get worse set-ups. :grumpy: (His set-ups were good, usually better.)

BTW: Other than BATracer, are there other browser-based racing games???

Okay Yuuji, I’m in the Minardi game. ;)

EDIT: And I’m 0.776 seconds ahead of anyone else in practice.

True, given two good drivers its possible to get podiums in the Minardi.

Then why couldn't Webber manage it? He's got the skills, but not the pace or reliablity. Same with the mod he's with now, got skill, pace, but no reliability. Drove well last night I might add..

I joined a public 02 F1 also
using BAR
feel like the ample supply of tyres is too easy..
but whatever, its a challenge

p.s. i'm not used to the pts system also O_o

I found myself a pit girl.

2 more drivers left to sign up, Dunc and Appie...

Ok Appie probably wont appear so if you know anyone on or off the forums who fancies driving a Midland, tell them about it.
;)

 sucks for you.

Davidson Grabs Pole At Bahrain!

Under the new 40 minute qualifying format, Lee Davidson kicked off his McLaren career in brilliant fashion with pole for tomorrow's Bahrain GP.

Davidson, Butler and Johnstone.

Under the new format the cars each had 3 fast laps to set their time and it was going to be interesting to see which drivers would get the hang of it quickly. One of them not to was Herman Chang who was held up by traffic, had an inconsistant balance and eventually chucked the McLaren into the barriers destroying the rear, he starts 11th. A number of other drivers also had debuts with new teams including Brad Horton who didn't manage to complete a lap after his Honda pulled up on the front straight. His team mate Blake Haswell fared much better with 6th place on the grid. Over at Ferrari, Ashley Butler put in a strong run to take 4th on the grid with team mate Chris Taylor 2nd, only 0.09 off pole. The two Ferraris were suprisingly split by a Williams who appear to be staging a comeback this season, Canadian driver Guillaume Dubois delivering the goods and taking 3rd.

It was however a McLaren that stole pole, the McLaren of Lee Davidson who set the pace with around 10 minutes to go. It's the brit's first pole in over a year and was right to celebrate it as he jumped into his team in the pit lane.

Results:
Pole: Lee Davidson
2nd: Chris Taylor
3rd: Guillaume Dubois
4th: Ashley Butler
5th: Mathias Hanon
6th: Blake Haswell
7th: Bruno Domingues
8th: Duncan Hutchison
9th: Yuuji Kawasie
10th: Jef Beyens
11th: Herman Chang
12th: Alfonso Nearn
13th: Luke Mason
14th: Stuart Johnstone
15th: Michael Vega
16th: Will Witcomb
17th: Alex Baciu
18th: Tristan Lovett
19th: Jarrett Allman
20th: Mohammed AlMomen

Let's get this straight. It wasn't the Honda who pulled up, I pulled it up. As I said to my teammate during our post-qualifing meeting. It's boring to see one guy lead from the front the whole race, people want to see overtaking. That's what I'm going to give them.

(By the way. Really good picture, coloured in the helmets and everything. Looks awesome 👍. I always look forward to your reports)
