Nice reporting Bee, +Rep, an interesting fight for first in points overall eh? ^^

CCYoshi's Momentum-o-Meter, Imola

A short feature that I'm going to try to do every race, since I've been lacking the time to do race reports..
Looking up:
Renault: After much, much struggling in the first 3 races, bam, an effortless 1-2 finish. Suddenly it's the same old Renault team on top. Will it stay this way? Fight!

Chang: Well, uh, as part of the Renault team this is quite obvious, but he's finally broken through with his first win since Season 3. Let's see him keep it up now.

Kawasie: Very impressive race pace in the Midland, he is showing great improvement over last season...although that isn't saying much.

Hutchinson: Another McLaren on the podium, a good race. Both McLaren drivers have gotten podiums now in Season 6, now a little more consistency and they could be on top.

---

On the edge:

Reynolds: Has been moderately quick in the Midland this season, but two DNFs in two races leaves some question as to his reliability.

Toyota: Claims to be on the way up, with Machiels finishing 9th and Mason crashing out from a podium position, but judgment should be reserved until we see some points.

Davidson: Has scored in every race he's finished (which is 3 out of 4) but hasn't been extrodinarily quick with a 4th and 2 6th-place finishes. Very competitive last season but maybe his Honda isn't as quick as the Ferrari seat he left...
---

Not so well off:

Shepherd/Weiland: What's happened to this former pair? The most famous and infamous partnership in Season 5 has been floundering with new teams and teammates, combing for 0 points so far each season.

Narayan: Won the first race. Now what?

Allman: Hasn't had drives worthy of the amount of attention he is recieving during his final season tour. Started the season well but has cooled off the last two races, wrecking at Imola.

Nice job Yoshi. 👍

Here we go guys!

Most DNF's

*Gulp*

Wrapped in Bubble-Wrap: (Less Than 10 DNF's)

Things are looking good for Honda this season.
:scared:

nice report Yoshi!
Renault will always fight to be on top!
Midland is making a good job,but they should focus on finishing races first, and getting the most possible points later!

sorry my english but its the best i can do :P

Heh, Sato-san...is that all you got? I say you move that down and put Ide at the top (unless we have a 'people taken out' category XD)...or that one guy who got hit by a safety car? Forget who that was though  No one with zero DNFs though, surprising.

Perhaps we might want to take these with a grain of salt, after all some have been around longer than others. If anyone can provide how long everyone's been playing (since I've only started at Season 3...which reminds me. No one's changed the title still), I could help convert stats into like DNFs/race ratio, same for wins and podiums etc etc.

Good stuff Bee.

The thing is, I went on holiday halfway through season 1, and I left at the start of season 4, missing out on season 5. So it’d be hard to figure out the number of races I’ve done.

I have missed out on, what, at least 40 I think. So ’m pretty happy with my stats. :sly:

yeah, this is my forth season?
haven't been here for that long, but I'd consider myself alright :P

I probably have the most DNFs considering that the ppl in front have more experience than me

Bee

Most DNF's

Sato-Sans Of GTP: (20 Or Over DNF's)

Brad Horton: 26

24 of those were probably bloody Midland Wing failures.....Don't even get me started again on that...

Thats an omen that Man Utd are gonna win the league this season. lol

If you mean average DNF per season, I think that will go to Steve Travis, 15 retirements in 2 seasons.. :scared:

Aaah, 9th & 10th, perfect! Check the office Dan, you'll be surprised about the settings :sly:

From 3 spot ons to a 98% perfect setup in 4 runs 👍

BTW: Nice qualify from the Renaults 👍

Butlers wants back

At a press conference in Imola former Ferrari, Red Bull, Toro Rosso and Williams driver Ashley Butler stated that he wanted to return to F1 for season 7.

"Ive missed the rivalry and everything thats involved and i hope that i can get in a team for season 7."

his agent stated that he wasnt worried who he drove for he just wanted to be back and racing again.

Toyota hoping for a competitive race

After some difficult weekends, it seems the Toyota Panasonic Racing Team is finally underway. Both Toyotas were pretty fast as well in the previous weekend, although they didn't scored any points. Although, current laptimes are looking very good and Machiels is very pleased with his 9th starting position for tomorrow. "Offcourse I'm happy, we had some difficulties in the beginning because I didn't knew my teammate very well, as well as my team. Plus the fact I haven't been in an F1 car since season 2. But if you look at the last race were I started 15th and finished 9th, plus I crushed all the fastest laps after one Renault, plus I had a terrible start, I think I can say we have a big chanse for scoring some points tomorrow". Machiels' teammate Graham will start 10th, both of the Toyotas are equipped with the improved RVX06 and both of them have a perfect setup. Now it's only a matter of time before the Toyota team will score their first point.

Allman Ferrari contract in danger of Termination/Possible new driver for next season?

During todays qualifying session for the European Grand Prix, Ferrari issued a press statement stating that a season 7 race drive vacancy has a high probability of becoming a reality. Ferrari chief Jean Todt outlined the reasons behind Ferrari's latest move.

JT: 'Over the past couple of races, 2nd driver Jarrett Allman has failed to turn up for even the practise sessions, let alone qualifying and race day. This conduct is unbecoming of a Ferrari driver, detrimental to the team's progress and measures are being taken against Jarrett to prevent anymore no shows. Team leader Beyens is doing all he can to make sure the car is setup right, but there is only so much one car can do for a team, where the sport involves two cars.'

Lead driver Jef Beyens was unavailable for comment due to commitments with car setup. Rumours as to who will be Ferrari's next number two are rife with the recent annoucement that former Ferrari driver, Ashley Butler, wants to return to the world of Formula 1 after a brief foray in the world of MotoGP.

More news as we receive it....

Interview with B. Machiels

As the GP F1 of the Nürburgring just has finished, we get to interview Toyota's first driver, Bram Machiels. It looks as though the leading driver in the team has confirmed his fit condition after a difficult start. After qualifying 9th yeserday, Machiels finished the race with a well deserved 4th position, scoring Toyota's first points of the season.

Reporter - Bram, how do you feel at the moment?

Machiels - Wonderful, thanks!

Reporter - So, tell us. How was the race for you today?

Machiels - Brilliant, offcourse! We'd expect to score at least a point but a 4th position is just wonderful!

Reporter - Was it you or the car who brought you up to that position?

Machiels - Both, the car was doing really well the whole weekend and after the final testing laps yesterday, I just knew we had a big chanse for a scoring position. Danny did a good job as well, he had a fabulous race just like me but too bad he couldn't finish it off.

Reporter - Your rival, Honda, has won the race, how does it feel for Toyota to be beaten by its rivals?

Machiels - Well, there's always rivalry but I think Honda deserved this win just like we deserved this 4th position, I mean, they're doing their best, they have the speed, they have the car, they have the experience and they have the drivers so my opinion is that this win was fully deserved for them.

Reporter - So, how are things going between Danny and you? And the team?

Machiels - Well, very relaxed actually. Danny and I get along with eatch other really well. Sometimes, I'm very stressed because he's so late with feedback sometimes but then, he comes into the pitbox, on his slowest tempo and says: "Here you go, consider it kicked". Wonderful guy! (Laughing).

Reporter - The next race weekend is about to start, any great expectations?

Machiels - Well, I don't like to push the team to get the position I want. We'll just do it relaxed, work on the setups and tires, and we'll see what the weekend brings us.

Reporter - Well, many luck and thanks for the interview!

BMW Not happy
The every slow and padantic Midland Pit Crew have carefully replicated the BMW mechanics outfits and proceeded to perform an extremely poor pitstop on Luke Mason's car in todays Race at the Nurburgring. Mason said that something just wasn't quite right when he saw a large grin on the lollypop mans face as he proceeded to hold the car in the pits after the fuel and tyres had been changed. BMW will be persuing the matter, and if the FIA rejects our protest against the Midland F1 mechanics, BMW will take matters into the own hands.

and in other news, BMW believe former champ and Mclaren lead driver Blake Haswell is gay. This news comes about after Blake himself suggested that BMW driver Will Whitcomb was infact 'a marked man.'

WTF???!!!

Breaking News

Toyota's pit area, known to many as the "House Of Eternal Depression" was thrown into turmoil earlier today, when it was revealed that Toyota might not screw things up in the Spanish Grand Prix.

You don't have to worry about that anymore, I broke it up. :sly:

Blake Haswell - Consider yourself a countermarked man.
