I won another race overnight.

This time it was Road MR2s, in the Mk1 :D

Donington Feature Race (30 laps), started seventh.
SC came out on lap five, so I made my CPS then. Five Road guys didn't, so I was effectively second (had a good, quick stop and made up some positions)

Lap 10, one of the Road guys shafted by the SC lost track position, so I moved up to sixth.

Lap 15, two of them made their pitstops. Obviously, they were then dead last. I was up to fourth.

Lap 18, the guy immediately in front of me was lapping slower. Got him on lap 19, I was now third.

Lap 19 the second-placed Road car was also lapping slower.

Lap 21, the two Road cars in front of me made their CPS, handing me the lead :D

From there, I held off a fast-finishing Mk3 softtop by 0.3 seconds for my second win in three races. I'm second in the championship at the half-way point.
 
Ah, ok. I won a season this afternoon - one race to go, 21 points lead, 20 for winner, 1 for fastest lap and most laps led. The chances of my opponent are nil.

I wouldn't say the chances of your opponent are nil, after all they could take pole, win the race, lead most laps, set the fastest lap and you could crash out on lap 1, handing them the title by two points :P

Sevens... And that prediction of yours is almost realistic. My first-ever season championship was a Sevens, and your scenario almost happened: In the last two-header, I crashed out of the first race, while my main opponent won... and my teammate, second-worst opponent, came a close second.

Race 2, I made my way up into the points and the championship - and then crashed out. Luckily, a few laps later, the opponent crashed out... But my teammate was charging hard. He had most laps led, fastest lap, and with a victory, he would've matched me, and could've won on countback. However, as always, Danny to the rescue! Danny, who replaced an AWOL teammate or mine (Darren Jean Pierre, who turned out to be Il Fardone), charged ahead and took the victory ahead of the evil teammate. :D


EDIT: It just finished and SHARKY I WANNA KILL YOU. Your prediction came so close to happening... He led 30 out of 40 laps, won the race, while I finished... 12th, last in the points. I won by ONE POINT. I still would've won on countback in a tie, but still... ONE POINT.
 
Arrggh, I can't seem to get on BATracer:grumpy: I keep trying and I just keep getting a blank white page. Just when things are about to go better for me, something else happens. I just can't catch a brake:indiff:

Oh, thank god. For a second there I was worried you were going to skin me alive. :P

edit: I'm officially awesome. I won Road America; that was my third win in a ROW, and my fourth so far this season (I won Sebring, Mosport, Portalnd and Road America). My teamie won two of the three races I didn't win, but we've had two 1-2 finishes :D

My lead is now 40 points over my teammate. :sly:
 
Yeah, but my game's not even up to the halfway point, so I could easily smash those records :P

Seven races gone, four wins, five podiums, 275 points... who knows how many points I could finish with :sly:

And "Phoenix" must mean "even more winning" - I really haven't been in an LMES in the past six-seven months where a Phoenix was in a championship and didn't win it. In some games, when we spread the classes, we had four Phoenix members win the championship. :P


But at least you're doing good against YLBS?

Also, I'm 3rd in the championship in Vito's uber-exclusive LMES, about 30 points off the lead. I like to think that's a good result... when teammate Nogueira is about 50 points behind.
 
"sigh" so stupid. First I couldn't even get on the site, now I can't log in because "we are experiencing very heavy demand at the moment and have had to cap the number of non-Kool Tools players that can be logged on at any one time". I swear I can't do anything without something going wrong:grumpy:

Well, I'm feeling absolutely fantastic about practice in F1 2008. Qualifying didn't go well for obvious reasons, but I'm second in practice and I feel like I can actually win for once:)
