We've got AA batteries, AAA ones too. There's a Sub-C and C-cell batteries as well, and the list goes to the D-sized batteries.

Tell me folks, who has the B-battery? What happened to him?

I have him, and I am holding him for a ransom of 8 million bits. The bits must be delivered by Wednesday the 15th. I will only be accepting payment in bytes – no nibbles, or other strange denominations…

Oh, money would be fine, too.

Anyone interested in BB batteries? They're mostly used for guns and gun accessories...they are like little buggers though biting at you if you heat them up though.

Maybe we aren't talking about the same thing, but there is a company called BB Battery, but they have a variety of dozens of various voltages and sizes.

I'm talking specific cell codes like AA (1.5V) or sub-C (1.2V). There are the A's, C's and D's, but no B ranking.

What happened to them?

Might be a development thing - the B was a flop?

Like fighter jets - F14, F15, F16, F18... Where's the F17?

Maybe the B cell was no good so never made it to production?

This might help you out a bit:

It seems, at least to me, that the voltage output of the 'B' battery is too high to be practical for the typical household uses. Maybe companies behind Energizer, Duracell, etc. have found that there is little profit, when compared to the other sizes, to be made in this size battery that they either do not make them or will only manufacture them by request and in large numbers. But that's just my speculation.

They hurt like nothing before them.. try putting them in a FAMAS.

The reason there is no B Battery, is it sounds like you stutter when you say it.

"I need some B Batteries" Go on, say it out loud.

B (Known in Britain as the "dry battery"); Plate supply in early vacuum tube (valve) radio receivers Rectangular prism various sizes, often with taps. 22.5 V, 45 V, 60 V, 90 V, 120 V etc.

The B battery was used in a lot old electronics ("dry cell") but isn't used much anymore because silicon requires a lot less power than vacuum tubes.

Maybe it like the F-22 and the F-23. They were built to compete against each other and the better one is the one the Military chooses to use.

Since Wikipedia is down, I'll have to inform you all about the true story of the B-sized Battery.

Many years ago, the great reVolt occured, whereby batteries assaulted their human masters, and escaped from their packaging. Humans fought back, and did their best to enslave them, but couldn't keep charge of them, since there were so many, and they tended to be mercurical.

The situation looked terminal, but it all ended when the Energizer Rabbit spoke to all, pounding his great drum in anger at the confusion. It lead to the situation whereby all batteries were free batteries, but they now had expiration dates. A battery isn't truly useful, if it isn't in charge of anything.

It turned out those who created the great reVolt were the B Batteries. They were locked up in a cell on the Isle of Varta for eternity, or at least until they leak acid and must not be disposed of in a fire.

So there you have it. At least, that's the positive side of it all.

It became the F117, maybe?
