I’m coming around on the Stratos. My first laps were understeer-city with a fair amount of four-letter words 😂 Then I started to notice how the weight transfers and began to leverage that. I’m getting the hang of things…. will come back tomorrow as I’m a glutton for punishment 😋

A tip for wheel users: dial down the steering angle. I used 720 degrees, which made the quick succession of sharp corners a lot more bearable.

...
Nice time :)

Yeah , steering angle.. I wish PD could implement that feature for Motion Steering on controller too, since in some cars controller reaches full lock already in 10-20 degrees of tilt and finding correct input in those cases is very very difficult...

PD... (or whoever who can talk to PD) ... pretty please... please....

See, it's not that hard (actually I do think it is). Impressive time Jeje 👏
Thanks a lot my friend
Yes, it's not that difficult.
When you look at @Tidgney 's always very well-made guide, you quickly understand how to approach this circuit with its winding part and its fast part and especially how the car behaves.
Very nice time for you too, my friend Dennis 👏👏

Morning folkies!

Had a little better feeling with the Stratos this morning,
Weightshift management is the key if you ask me...
The fast S in the beginning is super hard to nail but if you do it's very rewarding timewise....IF... you don't stuff up the long lefthander after that 😂.

My last sector wasn't the best i had so technically a 14 should be possible, altho it didn't felt that bad.

Good opening session!

Pfffff ...you are from another planet my dear Jomar 👏👏👏💪💪💪👽
Bravo mon ami

I started to play GT7 recently after long break in meantime lots of thing changed and I have to play on DS4.. It's really annoying, I'm so much slower, congratulations to anyone who can be fast without wheel.. I managed 1.17.0 with Stratos and 2.02.0 on Suzuka
There a multiple controller users in the top 100 each timetrial, you don't have to have a wheel to set a descent laptime 🤗

Trust me ... i know... My lap above is on a controller 😁

@Jeje6410 thanks mon ami! , still human though!, i'm not leaving this place, they don't have croissants up there! 😂

DS5 ist much better than DS4, i found even the DS3 was better vor GT than the DS4.
The only way for good throttle control with the DS4 is using the stick, but using 2 sticks was to difficult for my brain. 😂

😂 😂 , i have to admit i became a bit faster switching to PS5 indeed, moving two stick at the same time would fry my brain 100%,
I'm one of those weird ones with the index fingers on the gears L1+R1 and throttle andbraking with the middelvinger,
works fine for me but with combo's like Eiger the left middelfinger suffers after some time from trailbraking 😂😂

If I remember correctly some of top times on TT Clio were on controller, don't remember who exactly but maybe you who know can tell ?

Little motivation, current p6 Calster is on pad (one of fastest pad driver in the world) with 1:14.711 in Stratos tt ;)

yes man, ds4 is worst.. I'll try tho until I eventually get wheel again.. I used to be very fast player and now I'm very slow :(. Stick would be good option but I don't have capacity for it also not possible to use brake and throttle at same time which I do sometimes on pedals...

i know you'll all laugh at me but currently I have L1 and R1 for shifting and X [] for throttle and breaks 😆

Suspected i'd not enjoy this one and I am right. Optimal is a 16.2 but only ran a 17.2 and other than sector 1 I have zero idea what makes me faster or slower. The game's STUPID timing system where you lose the delta to your fast lap if you "try again" is absolutely infuriating when combined with the needless invalidation of the next lap if you mess up 4 corners from the end in the proceeding lap. So dumb.

The second last corner is so annoying, i need to rewatch tidge's guide, i can barely get around that corner and get soaked for time, absolutely joyless.
