wow this game is awesome!!!
u can control up to 35 real life vehicles, from subs ,to plane's, to jeeps, to tanks & much more! i cant wait for this game to come out!!!!

The multiplayer is out now too, and it's a great game. I don't know if it will be as big as say.. Counterstrike (because it needs better hardware), but I see great things coming from this game. Finally a good game that you can play online with vehicles (I did say 'good', so forget Tribes)
It's so seamless in the transition from Foot to tank to jeep to fighter plane to boat... and so on.
I've been having a ton of fun in the fighter, strafing down hapless men .
I love the wooden deck of the Japanese carrier, that a nice touch of realism.

I downloaded the multi-player demo yesterday, but have yet to try it. It looks real good, and I like the whole vehicle deal.

Now, please don't laugh at me, but is anyone on the 'Planet still playing BF1942? Or Vietnam? Or any iteration of the two?

I still play Battlefield '42 a few times a week, mainly because my computer (Or specifically, the Graphics Card) doesn't like Battlefield 2 . So if anyone else here still plays it, leave your screenname and I'll look for ya in-game!

I have it but haven't played it or had it installed in almost a year, maybe more. I'm not sure where my discs are for it. This had to be my favorite BF game ever. So many good times.

The latest mod for BF 1942 was released in March. "Forgotten Hope2". Its very differrent than the other versions. Have you tried the Desert Combat mods? Those are pretty cool. Modern weapons including Choppers. If you need help finding the Downloads send me a pm and I can help you.
