Battlefield 2 MC the 360 version

Thanks Camaro, it's always good to know the vids are appreciated. Just wish I could cap at higher quality though. :( Something to look at in the near future I guess especially with TDU and Forza 2 fast approaching.

You need to hurry up and get a 360 bro, so we can do battles like the good times ...ie you shooting and me ending up dead. lol
 
How many of you guys have actually played the computer version of battlefield 2.

The game.... ****ing great.

The players... man you think csplayers are bad. People will shoot their own team mates if it means getting in the helicopter/jet/tank first. This will happen constantly, and because of the huge amount of vehicles. This happens ALOT. Especially on 64 player servers.

Vehicles:

Apache/MIG: Bloody awesome, you have to be lucky to actually get into one of these things without being tk'd.

Blackhawk:
Pilot: Medic
2 chain gunners = ammo
4 engineers in the back

You can fly around and cap checkpoints in about 5 seconds, then fly to the next one. Its about impossible to kill you because you have 4 engineers constantly repairing and dropping land mines which kill all vehicles in 1 go.
Its ****ing awesome if your in there, ****ing **** if your vsing these mofo's.

China/Arab version of transport helicopter: Totally ****, dies in about 4 seconds. Don't get chain guns, get stupid mg42's. Totally unbalanced compared to u.s blackhawk.

Tanks: They're preety balanced

Apc: Preety balanced as well

Like i said... the game is soo good. Its just ruined by retard players that tk constantly ect. I saw a game on gulf of oman (64 players), where there were at least 20 of the us players sitting on the aircraft carrier waiting for the harriers/apache's. Enemy commander, does a scan, drops artillery and boom. Gets 20 kills. Think this affects any of them, nope they just respawn on the aircraft carrier again and wait.

Edit: Plus if you've ever seen clan games. They barely use vehicles, they all just go c4 and bhop. There was a bug untill the patch that allowed you to throw c4 like 40m. C4 in bf2 kills everything one go except the heavy tanks. These clan games right.... everyone goes spec op and just c4 bhop's it around the map.

Edit 2: Just had a look at the bf2:modern combat trailer. The game is nothing like that, no way near as fast paced as the movie shows. Man if every bf2 game looked even similar to that... i'd play it constantly.

Believe me mate, I want one soo bad!!! But even if I had one, the summer is a bad time of the year for me to try and play games. 55+ hours at work. I also attend road track events and car shows during the summer. Lately we have been busting our butts to get Heathers 67 Mustang ready for the June 30th road track event. However I just found out today they cancelled it. :ouch: So now we will have to wait until the July 28th event at Grattan raceway. We will be taking the 67 Mustang and the 69 Camaro to that event. :)
I promise I will have a 360 before Forza 2 comes out. 👍

Sorry about the bump of an old thread but I had a brilliant match online last night and captured it, as well as I found a CD with a song on it I figured fit well with the vid itself. I just thought I would share with those of you who like this game on Xbox or 360. :) The actual match took almost 20 mins, but I've just got the final 6mins odd here in the vid.

Oh yeah ....watch for the landmine at flag 6 that we all just leave ...it's a good one.

When you are playing do you switch to different guys? Or do you stick with the Special Ops soldier? I usually switch between the Engineer and Support. If I see a sniper that keeps killing people off then I pic the sniper just to get rid of him. Makes me want to leave work and play!!

Yeah tell me about it, notice it was the same guy I shot with the heli just before at flag 5, lol payback's a b*tch ! I sent him a message about that shot, he said it was sorta lucky, he just aimed at the missle fire.

Great shot though !

When you are playing to you switch to different guys? Or do you stick with the Special Ops soldier? I usually switch between the Engineer and Suppor. If I see a sniper that keeps killing people off then I pic the sniper just to get rid of him. Makes me want to leave work and play!!

I switch sometimes, I usually play special ops though, I just like being able to blow everything up and the flash bang grenades are great for taking flags. I agree with you with the sniper and to a certain extent helo's. If they're on a rampage I'll grab a sniper rifle and take the helo out with a laser target. 50% of the time though I will stay a special op and actually go after the sniper and knife him though. I feel it's the worst way for a sniper to die and gives you great satisfaction in killing them that way. Well with me anyway.

Favourite kit though: Spec. Op, Assault, Engineer, Sniper & then Support.

I do do the car bomb thing also, great for taking out tanks and 30mm. As well as the occasional landed helo. hehe

Spec. Ops usually work as a team also which is why I like them, comms is key to a good match.

Speaking of car bombs. I do something most people dont know about. If you are close enough to a tank or car and your an engineer and you are out of rockets, you can hold the land mine in your hand and walk up to the tank. If he shoots you he will blow up instantly. I use it as a kamikaze attempt if I am out of rockets. :sly:
I also set land mines inside of cars so when the enemy gets in without looking he is right sitting right on a mine. :D
Yes finding a room with people that work together is the tough part and thats what makes you win. You have to communicate and work together in BF2. Even if I lose I still love the BF2 game on xbox. It just makes it sooo much better when you have a team working and communicating together. Can't wait to play with you some time on the same team for sure.

Something I noticed on the 360 is that the helicopters are very hard to take down. One game I sent 4 straight laser strikes on the helicopter and somehow he avoided all of them. Finally the 5th one hit. He was destroying everyone. No one could take him down. First time I ever saw that. :grumpy:
Its also a lot harder to take helicopters down with the rocket launcher too. :guilty:

Well, you have to wait of the helicopter to be still to hit it with a rocket launcher. Also, laser targets aren't that effective against helicopters. You'd best use them against tanks, then snipe the guy when he gets out of the tank.

The best way to take out a helicopter is to use a GTAM. You'll see them sprinkled around the battlefield, and they look like big telescopes. Get in one, and lock on to the helicopter, and a missile will go after it. And really, it's about impossible to avoid it, I never could.

I was just wondering because it was never that hard on the xbox version. The 360 version seems to be a lot harder. Its also a lot harder to shoot helicopters down with the rocket launcher.
Last night I blew up 2 tanks in one shot of the rocket. That was awesome. Now if I can only figure out how to see my stats on the battlefield website. Sometimes it shows my xbox stats other times it shows my 360 stats. :dunce:
 
I pulled BF2: MC out again this weekend and finally decided to play the single player instead of just the online games. I really really enjoy everything about this game. I already played through the entire single player on the xbox version but never finished it on the 360 version.
Holy crap some of these missions are hard. I finally finished the Qyzylorda region, Mangystau region, Almaty region, and 99% of the NATO missions. I also got a ton of other achievements. I love this game but the final NATO mission is IMPOSSIBLE. I tried for an hour and there is just now way I will ever try again. :ouch: That was the last mission of the single player.

Yep, that final mission is total bull. I got to the point where you blow up the second rocket, and the time ran out when there was only 1 second left for the C4 on the rocket. :mad:

I just said screw it for that last one.
 
Yeah, the last mission is VERY hard. I think I finished destroying the second missile within 5 seconds, after about 15 attempts. To my surprise, there was a second part to the mission, with another time limit! Luckily, this one I done with a little time to spare. No way again will I do that mission as, in my opinion, no matter how good you are, you will never be any better at that mission - it's pure luck...

I love this game - just dont seem to get bored of it!
 
I don't play this game anymore and it seems it will be dead soon =/ with the newest game like Gears Of War, Viva Pinata, Rainbow Six: Vegas. I still think Battlefield 2: Modern Combat is a great game though.

Yeah that is pretty much my opinion too. After GOW, COD3, Viva pinata, and Rainbow six vegas came out BF2 pretty much died. I really loved this game but too many new games have come out now. The new Battlefield (Battlefield: Bad Company) is supposed to be out some time this year and its a completely different graphics engine than the other BF games. I have been keeping an eye on it. I made a new thread for that game.
COD3 is basically the new BF2 Modern Combat. 24 online with vehicles and 7 different soldiers to pick from. The bad part is getting into ranked games. Its rediculous the amount of problems COD3 has. Makes it not enjoyable. You pretty much have to play player matches to enjoy COD3.
 
Battlefield is far from dead games are always full ! And IMO none of those games touch the type of gameplay of battlefield online!

Im not saying i dont like them (well i dont like GoW).

COD3 is a pain as people connect to a game then leave - one minute your in a game thats full and the next its empty!!!

So what's this game like when you play, Duck? Is it kind of every man for himself or is it really team/squad oriented with a lot of coordination?

The demo was kind "eh", but I think part of it was just because nobody really knew what they were doing.

Well, yes and no. Doing quick matches and stuff doesn't use a lot of teamwork, if any. Though you do bump into a few people who really know what they're doing. If you join a clan, however, it definitely uses a lot of teamwork.

Theres two different modes - capture the flag and conquest, i have only ever played CTF once - conquest is everyones favourite,

Two teams go head to head on a map - up to 24 players and are battling for possesion of however many flags are on that map and if your team has more flags then the enemy's ticket counter goes down faster.

Now this doesnt sound great but it is - all out war and the amount of tactics that can be used is unbelievable - and the weaponry and vehicles are just amazing compared to any other game i've played!
 
Yes Conquest was all I played in BF2. It was soo much fun and something very new. I cant even remember the amount of days, weeks, months I spent playing BF2 on the xbox version. Then I got it for the 360 and played quite a bit. Now the closest game to conquest in BF2 is War in COD3. It is very similar but as I said above COD3 has many many online problems. It also doesnt have the same realistic feel as BF2 and there arent any air vehicles or water vehicles in COD3. Also no parachutes which was one of the coolest features ever.

I love 'war' in Call of Duty 3 tho as the two teams are only trying to capture the same flag at the same time so it is basicly an all out war - no holds barred situation!!!

I think that idea brought into Battlefield would be absolutely amazing!
