Having used a controller for so long on console I don't think I would be really that close to accurate with a keyboard/mouse
 
Trust me, you will in 1-2 days be superior in FPS games compared to when you run around with a controller.

Think about it. Imagine driving your car with a controller compared to a wheel.
Same deal with controller vs mouse in FPS games. You are effectively limiting your game experience with a controller.
You might be pretty awsome with a controller but there´s no comparison to a proper mouse.

I have been pondering building a gaming PC just for BF3 but like most I am used to a controller. PC definetely has some enticing pro's like more folks on the battlefield. I like getting in my chair, turning on the Buttkickers, and tearing it up. The thought of sitting at a desk for hours is not very appealing unless I modified my chair to accept a keyboard?💡 If I removed my G25 it might just work...Hmm. I could use my 32" Sony XBR as a computer monitor also.

I built a PC, hooked it up to my A/V receiver, and am playing PC games happily from my couch with a mouse on a mousemat on the side of the couch and keyboard on my lap (exact same spot where I sit when playing PS3). 👍 PC gaming can be as laid back as console gaming these days. :)

Don´t need to :) I´m sure he´s good but imagine what he could do with a proper aim-tool.

Yea i guess that´s personal. For me it´s not uncomfortable behind the computer.
Maybe buy a new chair? :)
 
Actually, vehicles are 10x harder on keyboard and mouse than they are with a controller. I seem to do just fine whether I use a keyboard or controller. I do notice more headshots with the mouse though.
 
I guess that´s just you then.

With a controller you have limits to your movements. With a mouse you don´t.
So if you can´t explore that extra the problem lies with you and not the mouse :)

Honestly, at work I sit a 12hr shift in front of a computer with four screens. I personally think its psychological to go home and sit in front of the computer. I think I might pursue modifing my chair it wouldn't really take anything to make it a PC gaming chair also.

For some reason, when I get into a helicopter my mouse hardly tracks at all. It's really really annoying.

The most important thing is that everyone is on a level playing field.
 
I can't seem to find it now but I remember Dice commented on the physical warfare pack they just released the trailer for. I know it's a retailer bonus (gamestop?) but is it available to everybody later on?

I believe it is a gamestop exclusive, but I'm not sure.

I have never been so excited about a video game before lol. My buddy and I are both taking a couple days off work when this game comes out.

#$%^$# I just remembered I have class Wednesday, can't miss class but I'm still taking off that day lol
 
That explosion at the end, and the sight of the city battle, everything, is just fantastic, specially the explosion at the end of the new trailer, is composed by a ton of different sounds and is perfectly accommodated, I know is not perfect but it sounds incredible.

I went to Gamestop and canceled my PS3 pre-order and switched it to PC (I'll will end up buying it for the PS3 sometime down the road)

+1 there, PC first for 64 player, PS3 later for playing with my friends and 'friends' (i.e. people I don't know that are on my friends list for whatever reason).

I wish I could but I tried the alpha trial and it was laggy for me on my computer and I'd imagine the full game will be worse. I don't have the money to upgrade the computer while I'm in school so ps3 will do for now.

It's true I can find a link if your interested. Not to start a flame war but did you know black ops ran at like 500 something on ps3 and 600 something on xbox?

I'm not too worried about it, it looks great either way (consoles I'm talking about). I will end up buying it for PS3 for the fact their are more people on consoles, but I just spent a good chunk of change on a gaming tower (mainly for IRACING) so I wanna see what this game is like on PC.

Also my thoughts are, there will be less team killing pieces of %#$%^$ on PC because those *&&%*&^* won't want to spend the kinda money it takes to have a tower/PC to run games like this.

I'd agree. I'd love to upgrade to play on pc but simply cant right now. Pretty near 720p should look good, I thought BC2 looked good on ps3 and this should be better.

hell yea, I thought BC2 looked and sounded great so I'm sitting on the edge of my seat to see what they do with BF3 :)

If I remember from your other posts you are going to school? am I correct? I am also going to school (college), but I am working a full time job and do school part time.

do what you can do, make sure school comes first. videos games won't be going anywhere but a high paycheck will 👍

same here. I have always loved video games but I have never been so excited about one like BATTLEFIELD 3 (and uncharted 3 lol).
