I got mine by luck kinda, I was on Tehran Highway and i saw the LAV so i used the repair torch on it till it started to flame then the guy got out and killed me then got back in then got out again and i got the vehicle destroy and when i checked my assignments it said i got it. Now im just working on the AT kills, currently at 36/50.

I got my repair torch destroy too. I shot the tank from behind and ran up to it and repair torched it :lol: I'm only around 20-25 AT kills so far because I never really looked at the assignment and figured it was 100 SMG kills like the other assignments... I played a few games on Grand Bazaar and Metro to get some kills. After that I only have the scarred veteran assignment to do which is going to take forever (if I ever do).
 
I just went for the two mortar kills. They seriously reduced the power, but it's still pretty good for vehicle damage.

Fast small tip for conquest players. While capturing the flag you stop hearing "click , click , click" sound (even if the "progress bar" is still going forward) that means you have an enemy in your area. I find it very helpful.

Oh and Seine Crossing is such a great map. :)

Also, what handguns do you all use? After being a huge fan and using the G17C for a long while, Ive switched it up to the G18 now... I'm in love with that thing.. Awesome!

I use the default handguns, which is assigned to each class
 
You can't go wrong with G18. I have 264 kills with it (plus rocking my G18 dog tag along :). I even prefer to use it in tight spaces then my main assault rifle/carbine.

Oh and great video Wardez. It describes why I enjoy BF3 so much. Artistic design, animation, sound , immersion.
 
^ Yup, was rocking it last night, sneaking up on Snipers perched in high places and surprising them with a spray of bullets :D Mighty little handgun!

.44 Magnum for me all the way! Over 200 kills, might even be my first to the 500 dog tray with the way I'm getting every primary weapon to 1 star and then all unlocked.. The scoped .44 is awesome too but doesn't have the dog tags 👍
 
Every time I go to Conquest, I have zero unlocks and start with default weapons.

Surely, that's not right?

Hmmm... Will give it a try when I unlock it :) For now I'm sticking with the G18 in the meantime.

No mate it's not. Happens to me a bit too.

That's why I was in and out of servers looking for one that was working when you said you would follow me to cq. Don't what happened but when I found one with some spare spots that was working ok I didn't see you. Maybe you gave up after you said you were in the queue?
It can be a right royal PITA to sometimes get into a game with a friend.

Haha that videos great.

I used the M1911 until I got a service star then used the .44 Magnum until I got a service star and I'm now using the G18 which is amazing.

Has anyone here played on Asian servers? The players play totally different than on the US servers i'm usually playing on with my friends. I don't really like it.

When you're behind an enemy, you hit the melee button and you'll stab him and take his tags. I'm not entirely sure if you mean that or unlocking the tags themselves which all you need to do is complete a "challenge". For example whenever you get 10 of the same ribbon you'll get a dog tag and when you get 50 (only certain ribbons have medals) you get another new dog tag. Hope that helped.

Be sure to join a ranked server.
You are probably joining unranked servers, where the server settings dictate what kinds of weapons you can use. Sometimes all of the weapons are unlocked, but you still have to choose them before you spawn.

It can actually be sometimes a form of a 'glitch' with Battlefield servers. Although I don't know if glitch is the right word. It used to happen a lot in the BF2 days (I'm not sure if it happened on older BF games, only joined the series in 07) where you would join the same server that you have for the past 2 months, and you would have no unlocks. It can be completely random, and sometimes signing out of your account in BF2 and signing in again did the trick. Sometimes it didn't and you would have to play with no unlocks before the server got reset. Sometimes it may only affect some people, sometimes most of the server. I also noticed it in the short time (very short compared to how many hours I invested in BF2) that I played Bad Company 2 on PS3 aswell, although not nearly as bad.

Happened a fair bit to me on bad company 2, every time I had a bad connection/signal, not a server error for me really as it was fine whenever I had a good connection

Im level 36 and I unlocked the .44 1 or 2 levels ago.

Honestly with handguns i rock with the MP443 which was the only handgun i used in BFBC2 because it was so good.

Ok, at least I am not going crazy then. I was in the queue for about 5 mins and was always '3 of 3' so got bored and went back to Rush :D.

👍 Last night I had to quit BF3 entirely to get my weapons back for Rush even. And once or twice in a Rush match, all the sounds except for my gun vanished too. Makes tracking down enemy extremely hard when you can't hear them!

That happens, sometimes, but it usually comes back when I use a locking missile and fire

I am in need of the repair tool vehicle asignment, if you are in need of it too we can repair tool each other, I know it's kinda a cheap shot but that one is makin me mad, add me: Roush_fan_99
 
How do you mute players??!!

Biggest problem with online gaming is the annoying people with crappy mic's. They sound bloody awful most of the time.

Usually pretty easy to mute people but I can't figure it out in this game?
