Does anyone want to add me on PS3, at the moment I am quite bad, but I hope to get better and I will be online regularly.

have you come from COD or are you totally new to FPS? Are you familiar with Rush and Conquest concepts for example?

I've lived off of BO for the last year, and I've played a bit of Crysis 2 (SP only) and RAGE recently. So yes, I have some experience with FPS. And no, I have no clue what the Rush and Conquest concepts are.

Conquest is basically capturing and defending areas, while rush involves pushing forward and attacking stations by destroying them. You have to place a charge and then prevent the defensive team from defusing it. You can then proceed to the next set of stations until you have won. The defensive team simply prevent the other team from setting charges, and can win by causing the attackers to lose all their tickets by killing them.

Better put for him since he's played CoD.

Conquest = larger scaled and slightly more difficult domination
Rush = Demolition just not time limited and you have to move through different bases.
 
Uh oh guys. It's the weekend (for me) and I'm sitting here infront of my computer aaand...

I have no urge to play BF3. :(
 
For ping, is 2/5 bars still decent? Because if I'm playing in a Euro server that's what I'll get.
 
^ not sure, but I'm in west US, and I select all 3 US servers and they are all good, sometimes I select all but the asian servers, and I do fine, not much lag at all

Yup I was the only guy on my team today over level 10. Literally... I finished first with a record of 21-19 on metro conquest. We got run over by a team that was half vets and half noobs.

Yep, almost every game I joined had people waiting furiously for jets and heli's. I just always facepalm at those people.

I flew a helicopter on Caspian today and I hovered around the Jets for a good while shooting all the guys waiting. I almost felt bad... Almost.


I got a p11 Turtle Beach headset today in boxing day sales, only $40. I've never had a real headset before only bluetooth so it's amazing. You really can't appreciate this game without something like that. I also got a sound bar with a sub today and WOW! Both of them just sound amazing. Very happy with my whole setup in the basement now. My girlfriend loves headset now too because she can sleep through battlefield if she wants to :)
 
To kill the jet campers I get in a Jeep, drive it at them, and then jump out last second which runs them over and shows they all committed suicide. :lol:

At Parkour: CQ is all about claiming flags for your team. Once you have claimed one, a) your team can spawn on it and b) if you claim more then half the flags on offer, the other team bleeds spawn tickets. You claim a flag by standing with 20m of it and waiting for a few seconds.

Rush is attacking or defending twin MCOMM stations from being armed. Attackers get a set amount of spawn tickets, defenders don't. If you aren't on a good team, Rush can be pretty brutal as there are heaps of good players out there with good weapons who take no prisoners.

Both require their own tactics though.

I'd assume the networks for PSN and live are getting hit really hard today since a ton of people got cards for Christmas. If it's taking forever cancel and start over. The day it released it only took me a little over 10 minutes.
 
I has a problem. Anytime I try signing into Battlelog it tells me to buy BF3. I see it says you may need to play online once for it to recognize that you own it, but I have played online and it still gives that message.

Have you entered any codes from BF3 yet, either in to your consoles respective store or the website? If I remember correctly, and I'm probably wrong, but I had to use my V.I.P. code or whatever it is on the battlelog sign up.
 
I really want to unlock some decent stuff for the jets but it's impossible to score points with a little machine gun. :mad: Anyone have any tips?
 
Thank you VEXD and waffles - that was a good few rounds before we became a nursery for newbies and the other side got heaps of wings. Had to laugh, at one point we were getting pushed back to Metro A and VEXD somehow popped up all the way at C :lol:. We got punished at Metro but repaid the favour at Caspian.

Sorry about abandoning you at Tehran VEXD. My 🤬 modem decided to reboot randomly. I rejoined, but lost my mojo and resorted to Javelining tanks off the deployment tower :D.

At least I got my groove back with the FAMAS by getting a lot of kills (for me) at Metro twice with VEXD. Unlocked a heap of stuff for it. Pity it has such a small clip.

Yup, the thermal vision.
The mines stand out like the dogs proverbial.
As a bonus infantry and pretty much anything else from the enemy does as well.
No hiding in the bushes from me. ;)

I was watching one of Driftors* youtube video's yesterday. And he said literally crashing into other flying objects is the easiest way until you get rockets.
 
2 things:

1. I like to rush down to C on Metro if we are getting owned, as I know no-one is guarding it, so I take it and sometimes, it literally has turned the game around. 👍

2. I saw a yootoob vid where some guy DROVE his jet to an objective, parked and took the flag. This levelled him straight up, but I've never managed it.......

3. I was laughing at how destroyed we were getting at Metro too Mike, but at the same time, it was getting me angry, as I was emptying clips into people, and they were just spraying me down. You need to have medics dropping health and supporters dropping ammo at the B flag, or you really have no chance. TEAMWORK PEOPLE, TEAMWORK.
Plus, it really helps if you don't have a VEXD on your team, cos they suck at FPS's.......

We gotta get a squad up again some time. I was annoyed with the helicopter whores on Caspian.

Conquest maps like Caspian, Kharg, Operation Firestorm, gulf of Oman,and Wake Island have 2 jets for each side.
 
Thanks for the explanations guys. 👍 Very nice crowd here. Sounds like CQ is a lot like Domination, which I dabbled at in BO before I put I down, so at least some of it will be familiar.

None ever in team deathmatch or any of the squad modes. Only conquest and rush and only some maps. Conquest maps that have them will have 2 per side while rush maps with them will have 1.

I don't remember off the top of my head which do and don't but I'm sure a Google search will turn something up. From what I can remember Firestorm, Kharg Island, Caspian Border, and all the Back to Karkand maps except Sharqi do on conquest.
