I think it has more to do with being in an enclosed wall, I launch rockets into A on conquest on karkand and kill everyone inside
 
Had some great games on Gulf of Oman Rush. When we were defending we practically spawn killed the attackers and when we were attacking we won pretty quickly...

I'm almost done with all the assignments. I only need to spend 2 hours on Sharqi Peninsula and I'll have the last gun.

I think I've got half an hour left on one of the maps but I need the 10 kills with the one vehicle and another couple with the jeep/buggie thing.

Oh and I got the trophy last night for getting a kill with the skid loader, I got a double kill with it :lol:
 
Okay, currently I'm getting fed up with the enemy using the little flying thing to kill me. Its impossible to shoot at and it just has to fly into me and I die. WTF.

I still can't kill people with those things on PS3, I know I'm getting a full head of steam and hitting them perfectly level and never get a kill.
 
Oh I'm on PS3 and that's all this guy is using and its annoying as ****. I just quit because of it.
 
As much as I hate to say it I just went 11-0 using only a MAV. I'm trying to get the two hour Sharqi so I figured if I use the MAV I won't die and I'll get more time faster and I got bored of actually using it for sue silence so I started ramming people. :lol: I must have like 30 kills with the thing now.

Oh only like 20 minutes on Sharqi to go 👍
 
Just found my best weapon combo. FAMAS with Holographic sights, laser designator, and foregrip. This gets you more kills than anything else.

First game I went 55 and 20. Next game I went 21 and 7. Then 9 and 1. After that I went 44 and 9. Great little weapon! I got a service star for the L96, FAMAS, and Rush. Not sure how to get the Rush medal, but I did!

If MAVs get really annoying switch out to engineer for a session and take the Igla or Stinger out and blow that buzzing mosquito out of the sky... I hate them very much as well...

I use MAV's a good bit when I play recon. Although I use it mostly for spotting when opportunity arises, damn right I'll try to kill you with it lol. It's just part of the game. When one is after me though I usually ignore it or go prone IF I'm not an engineer.

I need to do more co-op. I only did the first mission lol

I'm a fan of the red dot over the holographic sight and not a big fan of the laser sight/flash light as I kill a lot of guys because they are flashing them around corners and don't realize it.

Most people don't realize MAV's can take out other MAV's by jamming, just gain more altitude a lock on and boom no more spotting competitions with the enemy
 
Some good matches tonight before the noob flood started and some wings on the other side dominated.

Hope to squad up with some guys this weekend if possible 👍
 
I use MAV's to get places to snipe from that I cannot usually get to.
Like up the radio tower on Caspian.
Or up the grey/steel tower on Kharg.
Or up the big warehouse roof at B, Dry Dock on Noshahr canals.

I went up there last night, was trying to find a sniper from the game before who had been picking me off from the carrier out at sea.
We happened to go straight back into another round at the canals, and I wanted to try and hunt him down, so I went all round the map as close to their spawn as possible.....
I knew we had switched sides, so he must be out there somewhere right?
Went all round the rox, and listened..... sure enough, I hear the crack of an SV98, and I sneak up, and knife the guy......

Wasn't him!!!

Drat, I can't find him..... I eventually decide that height will help, so I head for the warehouses so I can have a good look and do some spotting.
Get round there, deploy the Mav.
Get to the top of the warehouse and head for my sniping spot.
Guess who's lying there, picking my team mates off?
It's Cran_89, the guy I've been looking for!
I sneax up, knifes him and never saw him again that round.
Spent the rest of it spotting for the challenges, and getting some kills.

It's nice to be somewhere so high the tanx can't hit you.

Like .star. said though, if the flying R2D2's are killing you, just go prone......

Heh, had some guys presumably trying to get their repair tool kill on me tonight. I was actually having some good success in a tank on Wake, when I saw some enemy AT guys sneaking around in the shadows near me. I tried to put some shells into them at close range - but got zero splash damage - and before I knew it they were running around next to me and I was a bit boxed it. I figured they were going to C4 me, so I resorted to the oldest trick in the book - quick reverse and forward. I switch views and sure enough they have their repair tools out...triple kill for me. Splat. 👍
 
I love claymores and C4's. Especially on the staircases at the end part of Metro, you can easily pull off 5+ kills in a stint there with ammo packs. C4's are awesome when you put them at a doorway and wait for someone to see you and come in :lol:
 
I'm not too sure but I think that killing someone (not a vehicle) with the repair tool counts for the challenge. I was playing a game on one of the B2K maps (can't remember but it has two cranes on it...) and I quickly flanked behind a lonesome soldier and got out my repair tool :p
The same game I decided to stay back at spawn to snipe and a medic from my squad dropped a kit in case I happened to get hit. Nice to see that people on BF3 actually think (although sometimes when I request healing, no one actually gives me a kit :irked:)

Yes that works but the next assignment is destroying a vehicle with a repair tool. The issue there is that if the guy jumps out while your repair tooling it then you literally be start repairing it instead of destroying it.

Oh and I won't bother linking it because I'm sure we are all expecting it but one of the Battlefield fan blogs today is reporting that one of the game Devs on twitter said a nerf is coming for the FAMAS. Get your kills while you can.

Spent some time doing the campaign tonight, on Hard of course. Operation Guillotine is a toughie, just had a look at some videos to see how to stop them constantly respawning. Annoying, the mission from the carrier and attacking the airfield is fun.

Anyway, struggled to get into a good squad this morning, but I did triumph in a cool mortar battle versus two other mortarers at Seine CQ. I got Nemesis bonuses for both of them.
 
I've had the game since release but haven't bothered to do single played. Just finished it. Rather short but it was really fun.

Agree MR some balance is needed. Please Dice though just don't release a patch nerfing the USAS today though, I'm only 26,000 pts away from unlocking it and I want to try it in it's current state first. :lol:
The USAS does seem overpowered at distance though, I'd hate to know how many times I have been killed by one from a distance that I imagine a shotgun wouldn't very effective.
Is it just an ammo thing? Which ammo are these guys using with it that gets these results?

Anyway if I see you on this weekend I'll do my best to join you. 👍
