Been playing about with the 44 Magnum of late, my Assault sidearm as I'm now mostly PDWs with Assault. It's very nice, immense stopping power (well duh) but not too slow a ROF.

VEXD and I had a decent round in the chopper last night at Kharg, helps when the opposing team are really bad!

Kinda mad now, played a great round (32 kills) and ranked up. Quit the game and found out it never saved it....

As long as you don't join another game before that round finishes, then it will.

I've found that if you start another game before the round you were playing but got dropped out of finishes, they don't count (I'm not disagreeing, of course) but as soon as the battle report for that round comes in it'll update your stats. I think that's how it works anyway, and I don't know if PS3 players can check their battle reports without using a computer, but on PC you get a little beep telling you it's finished and then you can play. As I get disconnected from half the games I play I never play high ticket games just in case because it sucks having to wait THAT long for a round to finish.

The RPK is the default OpFor LMG, I love it. In fact I like most of the LMGs but prefer PDWs, you'd be amazed at the kills you can get with the P90 that you wouldn't get with a PKP or M60 due to the huge spread, but with the right attachments on the right map an LMG is awesome. My accuracy for almost all of them is <10% though because I suppress everything at all times. If it moves, I'll suppress it; trees, jeeps, boats, cats, jets... You name it, I've shot at it, loads.

I exited after I got my points and it was still in the screen where it shows everyones k/d rates.

.44 is best for pretending to be a cowboy, the REX just isn't as cool. I use the .44 when I'm using a close range weapon (shotgun especially) because of the power over distance compared to sidearms.

Sorry for no mic last night, I was about to put it on when you and VEXD left, VEXD did witness an ace RPG shot on a chopper though where I nailed it right in the tail first attempt.

E28
I do like the M60E4, and I might go back to that, but I seem to do better with the Type 88.

I'm not even sure if I've unlocked the RPK (have only really gotten back into BF3 recently) but I'll give it a try when I do/if I have.

RPK is the starting Russian LMG.

Indeed, that's exactly what I said

Drag - Cowboy pretending is good!

There is another glitch like the one on Metro.

It is possible to make the RHIB boat to go underground on Kharg Island, and yes it is possible to go everywhere and kill people.

Really hope that DICE already know about this and will be able to fix it quickly.

Im sorry to say but it isnt only on Kharg.:nervous:

Experienced this on Gulf Of Oman earlier today. I was on the ruskie side and he with hidden under the big rock behind the russian AA gun. He was mowing everyone down with the 50. and all we could see was a boat on the minimap but nothing actually on screen. he then killed me, and The killcam showed where he was.:banghead:

And like with those using the M26 or hiding in a wall, just find a different lobby. Not ideal of course, but I haven't the bothered to play with people like that.

Which leads me nicely on to another pet peeve from last night, just killed two guys, range in to a building at Kharg, got out a health pick to pick up from about 7%. A guy runs in, I start shooting him so he click goes prone and then shoots me. Ridiculous. They need to have a small firing/action input lag when going prone to stop things like that.

True, I've said and experienced this before ;) A real pain in the nuts when you've been disconnected from a 1000 ticket server and had a decent round up until that point and face a 40min wait for it to wrap up.

I like to P90 for Engi where if you're going to run into someone, its going to be CQC but are otherwise avoiding long range engagements. Its a pea-shooter at range post patch.

Me too  I think my belt fed LMG's are <6%.

Oh, and as for the boat glitch -> Between spending 5 mins trying to find a decent server and then the chance of these glitches, it's starting to become a chore to play BF.

Tough round tonight... We're runnin around Op Metro and there's like 5 lvl 100 guys on the other side. First half I'm doing horrible. 2-14. I decide to do something I haven't done in awhile and that's use the DAO-12. Let's just say I ended the round with alotta ribbons, a shotgun medal, DAO service star 1 and I went 34-16

A pretty good night in the Field for me, highlight of the night is most certainly this round on Caspian.

It started badly for my side, I hopped in the Hornet and got to work taking out the enemy aircraft with success but on the ground it was messy and we quickly held no flags. I figure with air superiority my team can work their way back in with the Viper and such whilst I keep them covered, but to no avail the enemy holds the lot to take a 50 point lead using their armor to great effect. At this point I decide desperate times, desperate measures as I see the enemy Havoc completely unattended I decided to swoop in for the steal. Got it, that enemy armor is going down and sure enough I clear out all the tanks on the map but still my team holds nothing so I begin capturing flags with LT-Zoom of GTP I believe now spawned in my gunner seat and keeping the ground clear whilst I hold steady circles capturing the flags.

Finally a foothold in the match, but around 100 tickets or so down the most difficult comeback in my Battlefield career was on. By now I've made alot of people very mad, and the Havoc goes down. Feet on the ground Delta squad (myself, Zoom and my friend Tom who I'm on skype with), we begin circling between B, C and D chasing the flags as the enemy runs in packs of 3 or more to each flag in much the same way with each encounter going 50/50 to each team. We only hold 3 flags at a time maximum, for the best part of 30 seconds usually but the tides have turned and the Russian tickets are steadily but surely coming down. By the latter stages of the game both teams are on the ground chasing the objectives, massive firefights are kicking off each time there's a clash on a flag with often over 10 players fighting over 1 objective. Delta make a final push as the tickets sit at 5-5 with 2 flags a piece, disaster strikes as 2 of us go down including myself, shouting down my mic "DO NOT DEPLOY!" in a last ditch attempt to keep the US in the game. Eyes on the scoreline, the most intense minute or so of BF3 I've had is spent watching the scores tick 1 by 1 with 3 flags hanging in the balance, 5-4, 5-3, 4-3, 3-3, 3-2, 2-2, 2-1, 1-1... they hold level for an awkward amount of time then the screens goes dark. VICTORY!

Technically it was a sub-par score for me overall, below KD and BF3 slightly reduced my skill stat (seems common if I don't get like a 10 KDR that my skill stat decreases but who cares about stats). However it was the most entertaining and intense round I've ever had on BF3, on PS3, perhaps on an FPS ever. It's crazy to think that the smallest decision, to not deploy back on my squad mate and leave him to a near certain death meant that combined with his dying efforts and a ticket saved were the final difference between a hard fought loss and an epic victory.

Had a game like that last night as well, only we won by 2:
http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/battlereport/show/47603783/4/308118324/
Such a closely fought battle the whole way. We started with a small early advantage due to the game being empty, and me being in the tank to get an 11 kill streak to start. then I got mobbed in the tank at A (we were RU), my squadmate stayed alive in the invincible van and I spawned support and suicided to take it out. We got the flag back.

Pretty sure we held everything except C and we were leading by 50 tickets. So with all the bases covered and no one coming to attack them, we decided to push in from those stairs with all the bushes on them, which we call jungle stairs. We finally overhaul them and clear them out of C but as usual, some managed to get out and we lost two bases to gain one. We went to go get them back and promptly lost C again... Seemed like the whole match it was me, my squadmate and two other dudes (who I never saw) taking the bases. We lost the lead by about 150 ticktets and right near the end it was 40-160.

Most amazing moment came at the closing of the game; Davelander and I were attacking B and he pushed the Alley while I went around and attacked from the road side. Dave took down two and died, so I went around to revive him. But there was still two left, I got one but the other had revived the first two, got one more with my primary, switched to pistol, double kill, two more. They still had the flag though so another one spawned, reloaded my pistol and took him out, while reloading, another spawned, but I didnt notice that Dave had spawned on me. I get killed but I see on the killcam he gets killed and I get revived. We take the base to make it 3 bases to us, and we hold them off for another few minutes to win.

Like you said drag, its amazing the small things that make such a difference in such a close game. if Dave hadnt of revived me, we might of lost. The refunded ticket saved us.

Hi guys, how would i go about being able to use your ps3 server?.

Not sure slash. I use bf3 stats more than battlelog.

As for my server : search gtp in server search under southern us.

I forget the full name. Be warned. It's always empty :( but rounds will start with 2 players. Easy way to work on unlocks or flight practice.

Feel free to send me a request, anyone. Always looking for more friends.

If I have a handful of guys who are on at a tme I will send invites out to play on my server. Usually once a server gets 10 of more players in it it will fill up quickly. I will be on maybe tomorrow night but definetly Thursday all night.

So to those of you who's friends list I'm on, if you get a game invite from me, odds are I'm trying to get my friends list all in one place.

Played a Conquest Round for the first time in a long while and it ended up being on the famous Noshair Canals Conquest OMG map. Shot down two helicopters with my tank rounds. Poor pilots, didn't know what hit 'em (until they looked at the kill feed).

Well I bypassed it anyways. Ranked up twice within an hour or so to 16 but it seems that several have had issues todays. It's ok though.

Sounds good Caz. As long as I'm not in a long-ass F1 2010 race I'll probably hop in. Don't know how much free time I'll have in the coming weeks, though.

WTF I rank up to 16 and now it says I didn't? This game is really beginning to piss me off.

Figure this one out:

EDIT:

PATCH SOON! EA is aware of the stat losses and are working on a fix. Just to confirm, has anyone else experienced these losses also?

I have had delays, but no stat losses .

Unless it is in the circumstances discussed earlier. Ie: getting disconnected and starting a new round before the game you got DC or quit from is over.

You know, I'm not sure I agree to be honest. I've been using the P90 with red dot, laser and suppressor, and the accuracy is high, recoil is low, the magazine is huge but the damage does totally suck but you can get so many successive hits on a target at a surprising range that it is a viable option for a map like Kharg. Well, that's my opinion at least, but I managed to kill a guy who was in the building between the construction site and offices (I believe on CQ small they're called B and C, but I'm not sure) while I was in the offices cap zone, he was on the third level and was hiding in the window yet I managed to get him. Took a little while but I got there... And just now I was getting kills from one end to the other of Noshahr TDM, from the crane to the railway. I say 'kills', I mean 'kill' to be honest, but even so. It does obviously really depend on the person you're shooting at, if they don't run away after five hits they deserve to die (in the game)!

Nope but I'd recommended suspending all play. Check your Battlelog and go up to the top corner, there is a light blue box that reads:

DICE
NOTICE We are aware of the stats losses occuring and are working on a fix.

Meh. Colonel 7 so I'm not to fussed over losing stats. Still fun to play ;)

What bugs me is I have 220+ hours in but haven't gotten the 100 hour trophy for us or other.
