Just played a fair few games with jswilli1, those were pretty good matches and we held of those guys really well for the last game.

Had a couple of quick Rush rounds with Legendary last night, I have never completed a Rush map so quickly i believe it was the jungle map. Have you ever seen anyone use a UAV to destroy the M-com station? I had disarmed the M-Com station, i looked up and there was a UAV sitting next to it. Next thing I saw was M-Com being destroyed?

I bought a second PS3 slim to replace my 7 month old PS3 that died due to a bad Blu-Ray player. I could not send it in under warranty due to misplacing the receipt. Again my wife and/or son will be able to join on the Battlefied again at the same time. Eventually I will order a new Blu-Ray drive and repair the PS3, I don't think my Internet connection will support three PS3 online at one time though.👍 See you guys on the Battlefield!!!!

I was actually talking about how there is no minimap in hardcore. They were still very fun!

Oh yeah. The mini map is still in the start menu though. So if someone is spotted you have to pause.

A squad mate loads the exterior of the chopper with c4 then detonates it when the chopper is right next to the station. I've seen it done a bunch of times ;)

Does that actually blow up the M Com station though? That is what happened, it said there were a couple of C4 kills but we didnt realise you could do that.

Probably, I tank shelled an Mcom (takes alot of shots) to destroy it the other day, they have a health bar.

Yes I've used the C4 method when we are just being 0wl\l3d

Just asked mum if I could use her ebay account but apparently not at the moment. "You have a game coming soon anyway". That would be my delayed GTA IV episodes for PS3 that I have preordered. I tried to say that I would have nothing to do in the holidays but I got owned, "It takes 3 days to sell it, it then can take up to a week to post what you want here, your holidays will still be finished", sigh. Dont argue with parents. Reckons she cant be bothered putting stuff on ebay until times where alot of stuff goes on, otherwise it is too much of a pain, I told her I would do it myself but lost that bit too...

Oh well, I will get it sometime soon.

Put an Ad up on craigslist and see if anyone is willing to trade your MW2 for a copy of BC2... just make sure it still has the VIP Code. 👍

I've seen it done as early as a minute into the beginning of the round. As a matter of fact it was on Port Valdez. As soon as we chuted into the battle i saw a guy get on the UAV an a squad member of his was planting C4 all over the UAV. It went into the air and not a minute later, "Mcom bravo destroyed". It's a cheap move but anything is fair as a last resort when getting your butt kicked. A little more incentive to bring down those UAV's ;)

Small sidenote: The M416 is my favorite gun..Great accuracy, low recoil and as much power as the XM8. The low recoil really makes this gun deadly. Awesome gun for sure!

Thats exactly what I mean, forcing snipers to go for headshots means it's not easy and discourages random noobs picking up a sniper rifle and thinking they're gods gift because they get easy kills from a mile off.

I to think hardcore, although it may well be more realistic (not neccessarily realistic full stop) it seems to be less balanced as a game and is just less fun. It's just to easy to kill someone, in normal mode if you get shot you have half a chance of being able to run to cover and it's much more immersive to be running for your life rather then instantly dropping to the floor.

Hardcore also removes spotting, which means you simply can't work well together without headsets, and not everyone has them so you can only really play hardcore full stop with a 3-4 squad of headset users. Some class abilities become misbalanced to, Medics become much less useful as people die so fast and the Medic themself will die if they try any healing bar the nicely placed corpses and Recon campers become all powerful as you simply can't find them and they can kill you so easily.

One thing I do love about hardcore mode is the lack of spotting. It makes it more of a challenge to find people. It's at least a balance to the instant death penalty of the mode.

Hardcore could be an awesome contrast to normal mode with some tweaks...

I got some Dr Pepper codes but BFBC2 is not a game you can select. Dang.

I love the game but I've been having some connectivity/lag issues lately. I'm ranked in the top 1200 but all the people on my friends list who have added me seem to have negative k/ds and it's annoying when I carry my squad 38 kills in a Squad DM game :(

If anyone is good on here add me so I can play with people who don't suck

I have thought the same thing. Either adding spotting to Recon, or head shot only one shot kills. It's really annoying when over half the enemy team is camping.

I completely agree, my favorite gun hands down. Everyone chooses the AN94 or M16A2 because of the bursts that make it more accurate, but I like the feeling of the full auto, with my choice of bursting. The first gun I got a platinum star on, and now I'm up to like 1400 kills with it. And lately I've been using a 4x scope and it's working wonders matched with magnum ammo.

Has anyone used the 40mm underbarrel shotgun? The thing is so sick

I didn't pick the M16 for burst fire funnily enough, I knew I'd be using an M16 no matter what they did just because I always have on any FPS given the choice, alot because of how it looks (I prefer the longer profile compared to an M4). Hence my annoyance at nerfing it, it just isn't powerful enough to make it overpowered, sure it's accurate but the round itself is weak.

In other news, stats update:

Not a big knifer then? :D

Not at all, that's not my job for my usual squad. I'm on Assault and Marksman duties (both at the same time) using my M16 and 4X scope. If I see a guy my first instinct is to fire, which is probably why my KDR is high as I'm not wasting my time trying to stab folk, this isn't COD after all :sly:. Though the number isn't completely accurate, double it to get my number of knife kills due to repeat tags. I'm extremely proud of my win ratio though, I like to think it shows I really must be making a difference (or I should say, my squad and I).

Let's be honest, in the end if you're (not you specifically) a big knifer on BC2, like MW2 big knifer:

Or you're against real idiots alot  which the game doesn't like doing for me so I worry about the objectives.

Just for grins I decided to compare my stats to someone I know is farrrrr better than me:
http://bfbc2.elxx.net/stats/360/ii icelt ii/comp/ps3/Dragonistic

One thing that jumped out right quick, well apart from the most talked about stats, is how long you live on the battlefield. Obviously you're getting some major work done out there AND you are surviving for hella time. Another thing is the accuracy difference on the assault rifles. Wow, I just don't see how some of you guys maintain 20%+ accuracy with fully automatic weaponry. Impressive.

I'm actually quite spray happy to, I mean I have ammo boxes, why the hell not. What you really want to be looking at is how many kills I'm racking up in how much time. You've played 46 more hours yet I have 500 more kills (without meaning to brag of course). From what I can see your stats are perfectly respectable. I do quite clearly play Assault most, thats the job I've assigned myself for my normal squads because it's what I do best get to the objective, kill anyone who gets in my way and then make sure nobody gets near it again, or try to.

What I personally have always been a master of is movement, quick, decisive and precise, I know where I wanna be, how I'm going to get there and what I should be worrying about, and then I probably plan out in it's entirety exactly how I'm going to get something done after that, and after that, and at the same time the second something changes in the field, I already know what I'll be doing instead, and where I'll go from there. It takes me a short amount of time to memorise a location, photographic memory, so I also know exactly what I'll be doing on the other side, and how I'd counter myself in order to succeed. So I know what I'm doing, what the enemy is very likely to be doing, what I need to do or not do subsequently, so then I know what I'll do instead, whilst all the time remaining a few steps further ahead. Factor in decent eyesight and I'm good to go, if I sat at a friends house, much to their annoyance or sometimes they're glad of it, I'll be pointing out enemies on their own screen long before they're aware of it.

Everything about the way I play any game, driving or shooter, is all about keeping everything active, eyes, ears, even my fingers (I always double swap my weapons on games like COD to keep myself at peak awareness, and on driving games I'm looking behind me every few seconds even on turns). People think I'm very twitchy when I play, if I'm by a window, I'll look out of it for half a second, and move back and repeat and then people ask what the hell I'm doing. That split second is all I need to spot a movement for the most part, and then I'm not sat with my head hanging out.

It's difficult to explain, half the time I'm so far ahead of myself even I'm not sure what I'm doing, but I just do it. I can just take in alot of information and process it very fast if I'm involved in doing something, I can't read books or watch TV unless it's very specific to my tastes because I'm not involved. Most people have to spend a long time in a game to be good at it, most of the time I can do well from day 1 even with a terrible aim because I can still get inside peoples head, and it takes me a lap of a map to get an idea for where the important thing is.

icelt is only 6 hours off you Cale, and you're both way ahead of me on playtime. Which goes back to my point that I'm good, but I got good fast. I'm sure by now you're both as good as, better or very near to me with the extra time.

Ha I wish. Don't know about cale but I've pretty much plateaued at about a 130-140 spm avg. Boy I have played a junk load of the game though.

Sometimes like you described I feel very well connected to what's going on the play field. But most times my situational awareness is fuzzy at best. I never put any effort into FPS's until CoD4 made its way into my collection, but one thing I've noticed since then is that the best/better players all have that battlefield 6th sense that you talked about and are adept at planning exactly what they are going to do and how they are going to do it. For whatever reason I just don't have that innate sense and tend to "wing it" regarding what I'm trying to accomplish. Sometimes that works out quite well :D, although other times it turns out quite horrid :yuck:.

Anyway I'm fairly pleased to know I'm an average, yet contributory, player. I just marvel sometimes at how good some of ya'll are/get 👍. Just kinda fascinates me.

I would say above average by the looks of the numbers to be honest. COD4 was the first shooter I really began to shine on as well, I was above average on Socom 3 but not by much, which I played until a month after release but that was the last shooter I played until I got COD4 which I got months after release. The real beauty is that anyone can be helpful on BC2, from the average and above to even the quite poor everyone can still be useful if they try. For example, Medics can easily help people without being great players, and engineers can take out tanks (I mean c'mon everyone can hit a tank!), everyone can spot etc. In contrast on a game like COD, if you're below average you are often be a liability even in objective games as you give the other team streaks and the elite players flourish and can single handedly dominate and win a match and that's before they gave us the Nuke which means quite literally one man can win the game for a team.

I got bored so I started Medic yesterday. I felt so filthy and cheap using the M60 so I stayed with the T88. 2nd match with it I surpassed Gold Star 1. Since then I have got the MG3 which is just too much fun. I don't understand how you stay alive for so long Dragonistic. Maybe I should try normal for a change? I love the upped damage but the snipers can get really annoying considering they can kill you with a left big toe shot. Dragonistic pretty much both average a kill per minute... w00t

Edit: Last normal match I played was with Tommi and we both had 4900pts+, maybe even over 5000pts... the next closest person in the match barely had 1800.

Well when I tried Hardcore, with you, it took me the best part of a minute to parachute onto the Isla Innocente island and get a triple spray from the hip with an M14, and then I ran around the island like a lunatic racking up kills trying to hold them in. I'd say it's just as easy to live as long in my experience, you have less health yes, but it's easier to render someone dead before they can even fire back.

I score just as well if not better in HC when I have played it, and I live just as long, I just find it less enjoyable because their tends to be more camping which might be realistic an all, but this is still a game after all and for me I prefer normal mode, it's the same on COD. Alot of people will just instantly assume I don't play the hardcore modes of either because I'm no good at them, but it's apples and oranges whether someone enjoys one more or not.

Hope everyone had a good Easter :) Had some great matches over the weekend with Fairplay, mr_geez, theewar and ledhendrix (bosmanbv). Finally got my hands on the M416 and M16A2... I must say I do prefer the M16 now... M416 is a great weapon too, but something about that crazy fire rate with the M16 draws me toward it.. :) Also the crazy accuracy, great gun! Only thing that got to me and the others was the weird lag ... Had it one many occaission that there was a slight lag present at all times which made it quite annoying to play... If you were in a Blackhawk, for example, the whole screen would stutter as the scenery moved by.... Also chasing after people was weird since at one moment they were in front of you and the next the were 50 meters to the right or something... very strange... I hope its only a temporary thing, because I hadnt had a problem with lag until now!

I have!, it is awesome. I use it all the time when I play assault, i've had 3+ kills from one shot numerous times.:p

___________

You can all thank my little brother and MW2 on the XB360 for me not being online for the last couple of days. All the 'WTF I knifed him' 'WTH I shot him first' and 'OMG you cannot get me with that gun' blah blah blah pissed my parents off a lot so they took away the wireless router.

Should be online tonight though as long as he keeps a cool head(fingers crossed:scared:)

Switch him over to BF:BC2... that will change his tone :p No more frustration!! ;)

If you're 17, how little is little? Please tell me he's well into double figures and he's not one of those little kids who play COD all the time and screech about everything constantly :scared:. I'm fine with younger gamers, but when they start screeching down their headsets because they are losing it is beyond irritating. I'm so glad they fixed muting in MW2 for that reason :).

I imagine if he plays BC2 he'll just be complaining about something else unless he's winning, have you guys seen places like Gamespot? Everything is overpowered on GS, the only way they wouldn't complain is if you played no controller mode. Killing, sight, breathing, it's all so overpowered! People complain about MW2 but it's geniunely bull half the time, BC2 is quite balanced as it is and I hope that places like Gamespot don't end up causing everything to get thrown off.

14 and he is one of those little kids who play COD all the time and screech about everything constantly:tdown:. Allowing him to buy an Xbox360 (and my parents agree) was the worst thing they ever let him do.
He's played the original BC and 1943 in the past and unsurprisingly he was moaning about every damn thing. I tried to get him to calm down and told him you can't play it like you do COD, you need to slow down and stop rushing ahead, but this did nothing. I wouldn't dare let him anywhere near BC2.:scared:

He's actually playing right now, some of my favourite quotes:

'What the hell, you can't kill me I was laying down'
'OH MY GOD what a noob using a heartbeat sensor' - He uses them:rolleyes:
'YOU CAN'T KNIFE ME IM A SNIPER, IM GOING TO TEABAG YOU'
'WHAT THE HELL, Marathon'

'YOU CAN'T KNIFE ME IM A SNIPER, IM GOING TO TEABAG YOU'

 Classic...! I did that for fun with a high ranked player after knifing him in BC2 and he ended up knifing me 3 times after that... I dont think he liked that too much :p

A bit of fun on PC with a few racing mates.

I love Destruction 2.0 :p Looks very good on PC as well... You getting this through a capture card/device or something?
