Hell yes. It looks way beeter than 1942, and that was a good game.

Don't know yet, I'll post it here though, or I'll pm you with it.

I'm more of an Unreal Tournament 2004 man myself, especially because they made such a much more vast improvment over their last game.

But i'd still like watching my buddies and my brother in-law play the game.

The game looks quite cool...will it have a campaign mode like the regular BF?

Tycho at Penny Arcade says it's great. But he agrees with VM - single player sucks nuts. Flight control is improved, visuals are about the same, and vehicles can now carry other vehicles.

I picked up UT2K4 yesterday at my local Fry's for $30 (the DVD version with a Logitech boom mic) and BF Vietnam was there as well - also on sale for $30.

I just may go buy it now so I can play it later (at the very least, I'll have saved $10).

My only problem now is that my Gaming PC is running out of HD space because I don't like uninstalling my games :)

Grrr. I've got XIII, UT2K4 and BF Vietnam and my computer is at my folks' house. I don't have an internet connection at my new place yet, so I left my computer in their care...but I want...no, I NEED to play those games.

With my luck, Painkiller will be out by the time I get my rig set up in my new house. :)

Oh well, at least I was able to the the special edition UT2K4 and BFV for $60 total.

I've got it, its great!:D

I agree. I finally got a chance to play it last night and I was right, the bots are still stupid as hell. I've yet to go online with it.

I just played the game at a friend's house, and it felt like a mod to me, nothing I'd want to pay 80 dollars for. I was only able to play offline as my friend's internet was down, and I was not too impressed. It felt exactly like BF1942 except with a Vietnam theme.

I've got it and t's great online, but it doesn't feel much better than 1942, just different maps to me. But 1942 was/is still a good game online.

I really like this game. It's a bit of a stretch to pay $40 bucks for this game (in what essentially feels like an expansion on steriods), but it was worth what I spent on it.

I never bought BF1942, even though I've played the demo this is all new to me. From the sound of things its better if you haven't already got BF1942.
