Just out of curiosity, how many people have heard of/listen to Bauhaus? Anyone? if not, I suggest running a search on'em. Good stuff.

Christian Death is also a pretty good band.

Ooh, I've heard a couple of their songs. Bela Lugosi's Dead being my favorite.

You should check out Love and Rockets, too. They formed from David Haskins, Kevin Haskins and Dan Ash after Bauhaus disbanded.

Lugosi was thier only commercial 'hit'...its in no way thier best...Christian Death are excellent...i was a fan of the whole goth movement in my teens

I've been a Bauhaus fan since about 1984-85. They made some amazing music, but as Klos mentioned, I prefer Love & Rockets which is basically Bauhaus minus Peter Murphy. I've heard some of Murphy's solo work and can't say I like it.

I do have the Greatest Hits '79-'82 double album and a couple of the original LPs, which I listen to off and on.

Well, I've heard roughly 4 Bauhaus songs. Bela Lugosi's Dead just happens to be the one I like most.

I wish neon_duke would stop posting great bands. He's going to put a hole in my wallet with all these CDs I need to buy. :)

I'm pretty sure it is. If not, oh well. I dont think there's anything that could be traced back to you. No resgistration or anything. I use it alot, when Kazaa or WinMX.. Or Limewire.. or whatever doesnt have anything.

Whether or not it can be traced back to you is irrelevant as to whether or not is legal/ethical. Applause to Klos for keeping it too legit to quit... Werd. Besides, I've learned about some good stuff here myself so I just like to return the favor.

Klos, if you didn't know already, Daniel Ash and Kevin Haskins had an album after Bauhaus but before L&R under the name of Tones On Tail. It's nearly indistinguishable from L&R except the bass work isn't quite up to David J's standard. It is a good album though and really sunds like the missing link between the other two bands.
