Beginner Class Time Comparissons!​
Hey guys, I made the beginner class! Rules:
Car: Lotus Elise 111S '03
Track: El Capitan
Game Type: Arcade
Time Trial
Fastest Lap Wins
Weight: +10%
No Driving Aids
Tires: Sports Hard
Your choice in Transmission
Penalty system: I'll be nice - None
Time Limit: 180 secs.
Laps: Your Choice
No Tuning
I experimented and the worst time you can get is 2'31.015.

You know there isn't tire wear in time trial if I remember right. I'll check tomorrow morning.
 
^Sure there is, You think I just made all this up without even going on the race? :D I went through the whole thing and picked out what I wanted to be on it. :D
 
No, there is no tire wear in Time Trial. The lack of a tire wear indicator should make that obvious.
 
Oh, Maybe it just doesn't show up. Rules changed. I could have sworn I saw it though. :D So do you want to race Austin?

No, no deadline. Since this is a lap time comparison, there's no need for a deadline. :D Nice time by the way.
 
2'07.145 I redlined,and once I had a misfire(too much red stuff).
 
2'03.730 Only wall hit was when i went a bit off at the first-second corner. 10 laps done.

And yes, i know, I'm not a good driver :lol:.

Actually, I just thought about what you meant by a "deadline". How about.... Next Tuesday? Just to get in some more times.
 
After a 5 lap sprint, I managed 1'59.499. It's a fun combo, so I may return to it later 👍

Edit: I did 1'59.210 after another 3 laps, with a wall tap in the last sector... so 1'58's are easily attainable :D

Any tips on improving lap times?
 
I have one! When you're going up to a turn, First go to the outside, Then go inside THROUGH the turn, Then go back outside. That's a fast turn right there.
 
2'05.583 on 6 laps tried. (:guilty: Not quite good for me...)
A bit slow on some corners, especially on hairpins, kind of U-turn I think.

P.S. What's the use for 'Time Limit' :confused:?

I didn't realise it was allowed to touch walls..
And It it guite impossible to be sure everyone drives with the +10% weight..
I drive by the OLR standars and would disqualify any wall touches taps or crashes not to mention wallriding.

I know I have +- 0.5 seconds left on the combo , 1'58.. no way jk.

Right this is very tough to beat and I'd say getting lower than 1'59.xxx is possible!!! Did 12 laps for this...

Did a lap of 2'01.887 and this is the best that I can go... Any faster?? We'll see...
 
I forgot to end the race on Tuesday. :lol: I'll still count KidrhaulM5 though.

Cool!!! Fourth is not bad at all and wish I could do faster than that..

No, unfortunately I'm not... But fortunately I'm doing my own short race series! Go join in if you'd like, I haven't made it yet but it'll be soon.
