RUF RGT '00 ★
383BHP/7600rpm - 1330kg
Best Lap; 1:58.486 Total Time; 10:17.483 (Placed 1st in Race)
Perfect balence between weight and speed. Shows it on the track too. Oh, and it looks like a Porche.

RE Amemiya AsparaDrink RX7 ★
301BHP/7400rpm - 1200kg
Best Lap; 2:01.406 Total Time; 10:19.252 (Placed 1st in Race)
This tiny racecar beasts when its in front. Around same price as a GTR Proto. Your choice.

Honda HSC '03 ★
322BHP/7100rpm - 1150kg
Best Lap; 2:00.483 Total Time; 10:21.443 (Placed 1st in Race)
Fantasticly surprising! Awesome time with consistent laps from a tiny engine! Handles like a dream!

Toyota 86 GT '12 ★
370BHP/7800rpm - 1255kg
Best Lap; 2:02.683 Total Time; 10:25.854 (Placed 1st in Race)
Winning material, beast of a car. An nice option.

Grand Touring Garage 1970 Ford Mustang Trans-Crammer
434BHP/5100rpm - 1774kg
Best Lap; 2:03.264 Total Time; 10:26.742 (Placed 1st in Race)
A super expensive option for showponies. Don't even bother unless you can cough up a cool $750.000

Nissan GTR Proto '05 ★
427BHP/5100rpm - 1787kg
Best Lap; 2:00.965 Total Time; 10:29.146 (Placed 1st in Race)
You might have to sell your house to afford this bad boy, but he'll win every time, and in style.

Maserati GranTurismo S '08
396BHP/5100rpm - 1454kg
Best Lap; 2:00.885 Total Time; 10:29.771 (Placed 1st in Race)
This crashed and lost about 4 seconds, so its equal with the 86. Great option, but i rather the 86.

Gran Turismo 350Z RS
381BHP/7700rpm - 1522kg
Best Lap; 2:04.101 Total Time; 10:31.502 (Placed 2nd in Race)
Expected more. Nevertheless a solid time which will win for you 80% of the time.

BMW M3 Coupe '07
409BHP/7300rpm - 1674kg
Best Lap; 2:02.687 Total Time; 10:32.228 (Placed 1st in Race)
A reasonable option which will win, but not 100% of the time.

Mitsubishi GTO SR '98
373BHP/6700rpm - 1312kg
Best Lap; 2:04.641 Total Time; 10:34.351 (Placed 3rd in Race)
Expected something like this. Not a good time. Use this car for 400pp races only.

Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG '08
436BHP/7000rpm - 1780kg
Best Lap; 2:03.413 Total Time; 10:39.210 (Placed 2nd in Race)
MONSTER. Fits so much BHP into so little PP. But don't buy it, because a cruiseboat can corner better.

Ferrari California '08
371BHP/6000rpm - 1712kg
Best Lap; 2:05.810 Total Time: 10:40.858 (Placed 3rd in Race)
Dissapointing and expensive. Expected much more from this Italian great.

~Description~

My Bspec driver was not altered throughout the whole testing and made his own decisions.
He gained 1 level during testing which would alter results extremely lightly
All cars used Sports Hard tires as required by the race
All cars were tuned to a top speed of 320kph (200mph) With a Fully Automatic Transmission.
All cars were basically tuned in suspension and LSD.
Most cars have a 50/50 weight ratio for equal performance.
Some cars have increased weight to maxamise BHP (Vice Versa)
Basically, all the cars were tuned so that they take full advantage of their features.
★ = my preferance

~Conclusion~

Getting your hands on a RUF RGT '00 is difficult. It shows up in the used cars and OCD very rarely.
If you can get one, or have one, your set. If not, keep reading.
Other great options are the RE Amemiya AsparaDrink RX7 which is a tad expensive at $500.000. If you
can't afford the RX7 the Honda HSC '03 is a fantastic choice, but even more expensive at $750.000.
But unlike the RX7, the HSC is a prize car in the Grand Valley 300km. Which is the shortest of all
endurance events. If all of that fails, then the Toyota 86 is available for $30.000, but will cost
you a heap for upgrades, as it comes with low BHP. But the Toyota 86 is still easily the cheapest
option. If you want to buy the beast itself, you may. The Nissan GT Proto '05 is available in the
Nissan Dealership for a touch under $450.000 that is the way to go if you want supreme value,
because you can mod the Proto so you may use it in normal A Spec races, and keep a seperate tuning
setup for the 500pp seasonal events. They are my picks, i hope you like them.

Cheers guys :)

Good work 👍 I spent a lot of last night tailing a RUF BTR @ 500PP, if you have one, you should try it out and add it to the above...

{Cy}

I use a Camaro '10 with an adapted Praiano tune because I'm far too lazy to work on that car for that event and in both A & B Spec it wins very easily.

The Suzuki GSX-R/4 Concept is beast on the current B-Spec Seasonal. Wins stock w/ a level 35 Bob and no input.

It isn't something most people love to drive , but god i love that flat 6

At least as far as the A-Spec and B-Spec online challenges, no. The 400 and 500 pp events are for non-race cars only. So if you can use a race car, it's by mistake.

Race cars are allowed.

Any suggestions for another thread like this guys? I'm happy to do more research and testing if anyone can put in a good suggestion :)

[Original response now irrelevant]

Edit: Ok, I see it's an A-Spec vs B-Spec thing, which explains why I didn't notice it. You can't use race cars in the A-Spec 500pp events, but you can for B-Spec. The AI still doesn't use race cars, but you can. The original post mentions B-Spec testing but I don't think it said it was specifically about the best car for B-Spec seasonals.

I normally just use my ford focus st '06. Easy win every time and not too expensive either.

You could try best LMP cars that would be awesome. :)

I run a detuned Lambo Gallardo... probably not the best choice but it gets the job done

Want a Shelby Series One to try with though...

Nissan GTR Spec-V '09 detuned, but ballast all the way to the back and add just enough to get 50/50 weight distribution. Then put the HP at wherever the 500PP mark is. You may want to keep Bob's Stress bar in the upper Red Zone, to keep him pushing.

NSX Type R '02 by Honda.

Won by a mile in all 500pp races. It handles Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrriliantly (apart from the part where the tail comes out, but it's MUCH more fun winning in a cloud of tyre smoke (luckily the car is premium, so tyre smoke comes with the car))

Why don't u try it and put a time in? I'd be surprised if it doesn't come first.

Alfa Competione 8 is a fun car, you may need to take a few % off the engine to get down to 500pp once run in. Great fun to drive in the A specs too. Bob1 level32 wins uncoached.

Here's some 500pp cars I've tested on Online A-Spec Challenge No.2 - Tokyo.

Column B is the fastest lap and column C is the total time.

All times done with DS3

Opera S2000 is the most guaranteed win I've found at 500PP. Although the NSX-R has never failed to win for me either, so I guess it's a tie.

Add the GSX/R-4 and the Shelby Series One.

another 500PP finding: the BMW M3 CSL, 490PP, no tuning and it can do 500PP b specs easy, a spec results tba

for 500PP car challenge, i use Subaru Impreza WRX STi Sedan 2010 model. With some tune this thing is a beast out there, great power and have a nice handling aswell

IMO, the 2010 SS Camaro is just about unstoppable with the right mods and tune in either A or B spec.

I've tried Opera s2000 and all i got to say :: easy as can be :)
don't even needs coaching!

Nice guide and input from other members as well. Maybe I'll finally get to try some of these out. Haven't played GT5 in over a month. I one day that I did hook it up, the Network was down. 👎

Problem solved 👍
no doubt, i followed ur advice and the opera s2000 does great on my bob's hands for 500pp races, thnks :dopey:

i use a fully tuned, then detuned to 500pp GT86 and have never once come close to not winning a race by a large margin. even my lvl 7 bobs smoke the bspec races. I also do this in a spec with only ABS set to 1, something I rarely do with that cars of that PP rating, usually putting skid or traction control on when required.

the Toyota GT86 is the easiest car to drive & drive fast in GT5 and can run 400pp stock with a little ballast/power limit (user preference) and you can also tune up to & beyond 500pp, which makes it pretty versatile too.

looks good in matte dark green or matte dark silver as well :)

I need to know a cars that can do all 3 stages on b spec without intervention

400pp stock GT86 slight detune, more as it breaks in.
500pp fully tuned, then detuned to 500pp GT86
650pp 2J. if you dont have one, run 500pp races until you have 14.5 million, then cycle the UCD by license tests or whatever you prefer until one shows up. nothing beats a 2J @650pp with a decent bob.
