The new ones use a Coil over system. And about the pushrod V8. Why fix what isn't broke. It makes it easier to work on too.
 
It still uses an outdated pushrod V8, lol.

Pushrods are old technology but that doesn't make them outdated.

That is true. That is what they use in NASCAR. Some of those engines they still use date back to the 1960s. Toyotas pushrod is a carbon copy of Fords legendary 351 Cleveland. Fords own FR-9 is based on a 351 Windsor, which was used for 35 years up until 2009 when they replaced it with the FR motor. Chevy still uses 350s etc.

Chevy still uses 350s etc.

The displacements are the only thing shared with the new LS V8's and the Gen 1 and 2 V8's. The LS's require a specific intake to be made in to a Carb'd v8 where as the Gen 1 and Gen 2 can be swapped back and forth with the exception of the LT1 which has different cooling jackets and passages because the coolant flow is reversed of any othe GM engine, flowin top to bottom to allow for better head cooling to allow better and denser fuel charges.

I have been studying and acquiring info on SBC engines for 15 of my 23 years because I have always wanted to build my own engine and that dream may be coming true soon.

I find the balance of the '10 Camaro SS(47/53) really good. The Lancer EVO X allows me to get on the throttle way before mid corner through the exit.
 
^ I still stand by the good driver in an MR. 4 cars with same HP to the flywheel/Weight and wheel base the only difference is one is M-AWD, MR, F-AWD and FR the MR will be the fastest with the M-AWD 2nd F-AWD 3rd and FR 4th. It's all because the MR has the best weight placement for drive wheel traction and weight transfer and because there is no extra driveshaft or drive axles sucking power from the engine it will have more power to the drive wheels. the race would be close but the result would be as such.
 
^ no arguments there. Once you get an MR rotating at entry, you can stay on the throttle through the whole corner. It's lovely.
 
Skyline GT'Rs too have good acceleration and are also 4wd.
 
But they are Sooooo heavy!! I bet at equal hp's with full weight reduce or completely stock the R32-35 GTR's are still slower than an F430 or a well tuned NSX
 
Yesterday i had a nice drive with my nephew on capering south. He drove a Honda NSX and i drove the Camaro '10. Both cars where at 500pp, but wow that NSX takes corners like a champ. It steers really well, and that really made him able to step on the gas sooner then me.
So i think the NSX is really fast out of a corner.

What are you talking about? Your just assuming that the Skyline's as the GTR are heavier are going to be slow as a tank. The Skylines as GT-R will be faster around corners as exit. The NSX will prob be a bit quicker on straight because of weight. But it wont with it HP. Skylines have more grip. Speaking wise a Skyline or a GTR would be quicker then a 430 as NSX. I can tell you right now, that your just telling people stuff that is false. Your just trying to hate 4WD Track Monsters. And why are you adding a R35 in here? It would completely demolish NSX, as Ferrari around Corners as Corner Exit. as Acceleration The Skyline as the R35, Is not a Joke... They grip like monsters. Maybe you should Test Things, Before assuming. Speaking wise. The R35 or R34 is the best bet for Cornering as Corner Acceleration out.

Tune a GTR well and it'll decimate ANYTHING, no questions asked.
Trust me, they may be heavy and 4WD, but it's easy to get around that with a good suspension tune and you won't even be trading off anything major except the 15000Cr needed to buy fully customizable suspension.

Did you read what i said. Above your reply. I said the same thing :P. The R35 is like 100kg heavier then 430. Skylines are 40-60KG Heavier..

The Ls1/6 is not 350ci its actually 345ci. It also uses reverse cooling. GM Master Tech been working on them them since 2004.
