Also, I'm not getting Firefox, or whatever other programs people try to get me to use. Why don't you just make it .gif?

There's one thing you have to know about .gif and .png. GIF uses binary transparancy and PNG uses alpha transparency. Binary? Alpha? What? Binary only has one form of transparency, and that's fully transparent. Alpha allows you to have a variable opacity, meaning you can have 20%, 32%, 77%, 92%, etc transparency. Thus, allowing smoother edges and a heap of other things.

PNG > GIF, just like Firefox > IE.

EDIT: Shannon, I actually know all of that. I can't be bothered making the change, I might some day. But I can't really be bothered.
 
What background? It is a transparent PNG... It looks 10 times better.

I will change to mozilla some day, just my dad won't let me. Hopefully we will on the new machine.

You can install it and just don't amke it the default browser. I was running mozilla on the family machine for 4 months without them even knowing.
 
The only problenm I have is that the computer is in the living room right by the telephone and stairs. So it is very hard to get any privacy.
I ahve 300k broadband, what do you think the d/l time will be?
 
Shouldn't be very long. Plus if you have ADSL, anything is usually quick, especially programs. I'm thinking of getting one of them just as a secondary browser. I might make it my default browser if I like it enough.
 
Try Firefox, I used it and never went back to IE. It's much faster, and has so many customizable options and features that it just blows IE away. And the fact that it helps greatly in trying to keep away from viruses.

and spyware. ;) Since swithcing to Firefox, I have yet to recieve ANY Spyware at all! nor have I gotten a virus while using firefox!

Think of it this way, IE is a chain link fence. Firefox is a fine mesh screen. You are hiding behind it. A guy is throwing golf balls at you, but the fence/mesh is blocking it. These golf balls represent spyware and virii. Which one will you be safer hiding behind?
 
This is no longer correct. Some people like sUn's avatar have since changed. These polls are going too slow. You need to speed them up if you want the avatars to be up to date.
 
Actually you're wrong. They posted the pictures on the first page, and they are not of the person's current avatar, rather an Avatar that they have previously had (or obviously currently) or in a couple of cases, Avatars that the person has had on their computer. This competition is not for current avatars. Look at the first post.

[off topic] Which version of mozilla should i D/L? I heard there is a few.

[EDIT] wenmt on connected.telegraph and they recommended just mozilla.
