We've got "The World" rolling, and last but not least, it is Italy's turn. The home to arguably the most-passionate cars in the world, things could get interesting quick. You guys know the rules, one nomination, a few days to collect, we move on.

For 2008 Best Italian Car, YSSMAN Nominates:
The Alfa Romeo 8C
When you've got an armada of wonderful cars to choose, where the hell do you start? I was thinking about a few of the "lesser" FWD models offered by sister companies of Alfa Romeo, and of course, I was thinking of some "superior" MR models offered by its older sibling. But when it comes down to it, you just think of what you like best... What describes Italy best... Passion.
For a car that I will likely NEVER see, the 8C is simply amazing. I can't find a single unappealing angle to the car, inside or out. Alfa has managed to turn every damn thing about the car into artwork. I'm willing to bet that the wiring harness bares a resemblance to the Mona Lisa, that there are screws specifically designed for each car that are deemed to be "unique" for use.
But the thing is, I hear its an absolutely terrible car. I hear that it doesn't handle that well, that it isn't all that fast, and that the build quality really isn't up to everyone's standards... But you know what? None of it matters. Its too damn-pretty, and I'll be damned if it doesn't try to make you believe that you're in something faster, more comfortable, and maybe more like a car with a little prancing pony on the hood...
