Best car for German Touring Car Championship?

Well i bought the ISF, came with racing hard tires. Tried the first race, capering. What the hell! The car has a massive turning circle and likes to spin , especially if you touch the grass. I suspect that might be the tires tho. But finished in 12th nearly 2 minutes behind! Not good at all!

I found that a dash (-2 F / -1.5 R, IIRC) of camber really helped with the tail-happiness. It will however, increase your braking distance a little, but I found it to be a very reasonable trade-off.

In general, like you, I'm not finding the DTM championship to be a cakewalk as many seem to have.

I put racing softs on, will try again later. Still getting used to the wheel and it doessnt help that the table its attached to keeps sliding across the carpet!

Tried again
M this time with racing softs and above camber tune. Was in first for a while ,but got taken by a bmw gtr and stayed in second most of the way. Then spun a couple of times and finished in 7th (capering)
Its a fast car but hardto like!

Id say the merc clk-gtr or something like that. It passed me in the ucd for about a mill, an you will easily win the races with a huge lead

Maybe you could try and put some aids on...it won't make the car that much slower. It'll still easily rip through the Nordschleife race and can win Cape Ring pretty good as well. Nurburgring GP/D might be close, but if you can keep it out of trouble you'll succeed.

Im only on 1.7 mill- cant stop buying cars from the UCD ( ohh must have that, oh nice an Integra, etc )
Edit and I just blew it on the Alfa 155 2.5 V6! Oh hum

You can´t use the CLK-GTR in the GTC.
And if you want to win easily , put RS tyres on any of the Touring cars.

Buy any DTM car, (I think there is one in the online dealership now) and just keep trying. You'll win soon enough because this championship has the slowest (relatively) AI in the game.

Really? I found it fairly easy and I'm not a great driver.. I think I used a turbo upgraded Opel Calibra (kinda forgot, been awhile).

I've used the Merc 190 Touring, Audi A4 Touring and Lexus ISF. Merc 190e is the most fun with a good tune. A4 I got up to 600 horsies and it flies- 7:06 on Nurburg... I found the ISF to win easily but doesn't handle as well as the actual German car touring versions...
