I used a borrowed Chaparral 2J with Racing Hards. My driver was a level 28 IIRC and he got the lead on about lap 5. I haven't tried racing him without my supervision, though.
For this 500PP B Spec, I tried many different usual cars but could not go any faster than 3rd place. I blame my bob
However, I saw when my bob start race, at 10th place, it's always Lotus 111R and it over take other cars like crazy.
So I decide to tune a Lotus 111R and give it to my Bob. First try came 1st
400pp: Acura rsx type S (or sometimes a detuned Elise 111R)
500pp: Honda NSX-R (in my opinion THE best car at 500pp)
650pp: Pagani Zonda LM race car (tried the gt-r tc at first, but slower so...)
I had a chuckle at my Bob (38) driving the Suzuka in the McLaren F1 GTR, it drove robotic like around the track, shifting gears, maintaining the line, as if it were the BOT from Hugo piloting the car around. Totally robotic like.

A good friend allowed me to borrow his 2J for this event and it has won almost each time. The only one I can remember for certain it did not win was a brand new Bob and he came in 3rd.

Even with my lvl. 35 driver, I still lose by about 50 seconds to the Mclaren, and Zonda. But, on the Nurb. Ring, I win by 5 seconds. I don't understand how a 2J could lose by so much, and barely win another.
F1 GTR for 650pp and check opponent list. exit and re-enter if a F1 GTR is opponent. Also Ford GT LM Spec II Test Car will do the trick if you want premium.
Did you detune with ballast or just power limiter? I found mainly ballast with offset to balance the car a bit better with just a slight power reduction worked best. The diff and tranny may need a little tweak too. If you need a setup just PM me. Not that I'm good at tuning but my 2J never fails for 650pp races even with low level bobs.
I usually do these seasonals on all my accounts for the easy tickets.

400 pp the toyota gt-86 '12 is always an easy win, even with a lvl 0 Bob.
500 pp Went with a bob lvl 40 and failed with the Shelby series 1. Then, my other Bob lvl 12 won with the RGT. The Suzuki GSXR-4 could do the work also.
650 pp Nissan gtr35 TC or the Chappy 2j Both are easy win unless FUBAR tune.
Using the 2J requires a bit of coaching from me later in the race. He has no problem getting a good lead by himself but once he does he gets a little lazy and paces way down. I have to pace him up a few times about midway through the race so the other cars don't eventually catch him. He's getting better as his level increases. He was a 30 (I think) and now he's a 33. Left completely alone he usually gets 3rd (or 2nd if I'm lucky).

Just used my Lexus LFA '10 in the 500pp race, couldn't of had an easier win...I'd won it before in an F40 (overkill I know 😄 now just flipping through some lesser cars.
Both are easy win unless FUBAR tune.
