BEst Drifting game

You make a good point, 260Z, but what other racing games have come out this year that are better. I prefer more simulation style to arcade, but as arcade goes NFSU is a good game, (just not much replay value IMO). I think R-Racing Evolution is going to be the only racing game that will keep me occupied until GT4 arives, (besides GT3). I enjoy a Challenge, and TXR3 is just mind numbingly easy. I went through the game twice in less then two days. That does not a good game make IMO. Anyway, 260Z, are you still retired from comps? Or would you like a nice friendly battle? Hint, Hint. ;)

i think why NFSU is the best game this year because of the gameplay and the graphics
too much lights

I am retired from comps and making videos. when I get the new wheel and a copy of GT3, I might just be retired from making videos. I got caught looking at porn again so I can't get on the computer. if you are wondering about my posts today, I am at my grandparents house right now and I will be leaving the 29th. the thing about the TXR series is there is no other game can offer what TXR has to offer. it isn't supposed to be a drifting game nor is it supposed to be compared to the GT series. it is an arcade game an the GT series is a simulation. The thing about TXR, it has always offered a ridiculously deep storyline making you beat hundreds of rivals thriving to be the fastest in japan. TXR0 took me about a year to beat and is definately one of the best games I have ever played in my life. the TXR series takes a while to beat and when you finnaly beat it, since it took such a long time, it is a very gratifying feeling you get. I can't wait to beat TXR3, I have 4 like 4-5 more opponents to beat till I fight #600. I love the TXR series and I pity you because you can't see the beauty in the series. peace.

Are you telling me that you can perform realistic drifts using throttle control, braking, and countersteer, in TXR3? I'd like some proof. I wouldn't mind seeing some IRL vids either, otherwise your just blowing hot air. ;)

Do I speak with a speach impediment? I NEVER said you could drift in TXR 3.

How old are you man, 13? And videos.. The people who show-boat and video tape themselves are the exact people we like to avoid for the most part.

What state do you live in? A few of us from the surrounding states usualy gather once a year for a big party. I think this coming year it's going to be in Omaha. Bring your car, you can show us your "realistic drifts".

I'll PM you with the info when everything is set in stone.

What is wrong with IRL drifting might I ask? I have seen people pull drifts on some of these back gravel side roads in Ohio. Nothing big I suggest you just shut your mouth and do some research before you agrue...

I'm pretty damn sick and tired of seeing stupid threads like this. I didn't even bother to read and find out how and why this whole arguement started, but guess what...

I don't care. And neither does the majority of GTP, so stop making us read your crap. I've done my share of arguing but it's all pretty much useless. It's old, and it's done.

Good night...

ive played kaido battle, initial D special stage, bettle gear 3, and touge 3, all ps2 drifting specific games. the best one by far is kaido battle, however it is the hardest game EVER! i cant pull off a drift for the life of me BUT ive seen my friend take a run down a course and holy **** once u get the hang of it it is AMAZING!
battle gear is arcade based, pretty easy to drift in, takes some practise.
initial D......it sucks, sure its a fun arcade game head to head with another person but the ps2 game gets boring quick.
touge 3...easiset to get into, basic drift techniques, takes practise and is the most fun all around drift game.
ive tried these all, kaido battle definetly surpasses them all but i picture that the BEST drifitng game ever created...other than kaido....would be a touge based racing game, with many downhill/uphill mountain courses, with GT3 physics, but thats only cuz im used to gt3, but come to think of it, to a non-gt3drifter.....its ****in HARD!
ive seen my friends try and they cant drift worth S**T! so i guess it comes down to what game youre used to the most.
gt3 is the best drifitng game cuz im used to it, however i would imagin that if i mastered kaido battle, it would surpass gt3 by a million times.
the best bet is to get a mod chip, find some hookups, get the game urself and play play play

I have no problem with you liking the game as it is, but I don't like it, drifting aside, Just deal with it. I've never played the TXR series before this one, so I didn't know what to expect, and I was just dissapointed with the overall game play. Just because a game takes a long time to get 100%, doesn't make it fun IMO. Also, I have practiced for a long time to get proficient in drifting, (GT3), and the videos are a good way to document some of your best drifts. I don't see anything wrong with that. Also, I never said I drifted IRL, so I'm not sure about your last statement. I'm done, let it go. ;)

You make me want Kaido so much more. I need to get this game. I just got my January issue of Game Pro, and there's an article on Drift Racer: kaido battle. They give a February release date (US), I thought the game was canceled? ;)

I used to drift irl, so hopefully you're not talking to me.

And if you are, I have no problem with drifting in real life. I do have a problem with kids that have mouth's bigger than their body's, trying to tell it like it is, when they're telling it like it ain't.

All these guys that claim to be legit drifters, that don't own a REAL car, and have NEVER been drifting irl, is comical.

You're crew should be called fake d. No argument, just facts.

WTF is your problem? All I said is that I don't like the game. I'm sorry this seems to have hurt you deeply, but you'll get over it. Why do you keep bringing up IRL drifting, when were talking about a game? When did I say I drifted IRL? I drift in GT3, and I own a front wheel drive car IRL (91' Jetta GLI Wolfsburg Edition), so I'm not going to be drifting it any time soon. I'm glad that you are a real drifter, it just doesn't seam to pertain to anything that we are talking about. I think it's funny as hell, that you are getting so upset over a game, and subsequently taking cheap shots at me, for lack of a witty retort. I'm done talking to you, you obviously have some serious issues. ;)

ok, now I didn't mind what crap you had going on with you and SD, but you don't insut the whole ****in team man. it is people like you that screwed up the street racing scene. I will not let this happen to the drifting scene. drifting is about making friends, hanging out, and just being yourself. It isn't about being some prick that thinks he can dismiss someone just because they can't drift very well or not at all. at least he/she is trying to be sucessful. besides, how do you know if we have or haven't drifted? thats right you don't know. remember, build bridges, don't burn them. peace.

I am planning on getting R - Racing Evolution, but I don't hold much hope of it being anywhere near as good as GT3. I think I am going to have to go with GT4 on this one, even though it's not out yet, I'm sure it will be what I am looking for.;)

hmm i feel i need to be let in on some infor here... whats TXR3???
oh and SilviaDrifter.....DONT pick up R: Racing Evolution, you will be dissapointed.
i rented it and it took me 5 days overdue before i could even start a drift, and to top it of the drift sucked...definetly not worth picking up if ur loking for drift

i also forgot to mention.......
AUTO MODELLISTA!!!!!
man thats a fun game.... all u gotta do is unlock all power ups and mods, get an R32, and drift the night away on the touge courses...SO FUN!

Tokyo Extreme Racer 3. I'm going to pick up R-Racing Evolution no matter what, because I have to have every racing game that is at least entertaining, (addiction).;)

All the Gran turismo game are the best drifting games cause theyre the closest to real life. no hold button all skill and braking technique...........

its a pretty fun game, i love the courses...very long and fun....good overall drifting game if ur not too picky about graphics. let alone the intro is the SWEETEST thing ive EVER seen ahahah, if anyone else here as seen they know what im talking about:D

i have TXR0, not really that fun, only like one good corner to drift and the car usually halts halfway through unless its really high powered.

but back to battle gear 3, its worth the investment, graphics are almost par with gt3, and the courses? good god! its like 60 bucks off the shelf, ---->over there....
