GT1 - JACCS Civic replica!
GT2 - Racing for money and losing $200 by the end of the night.
GT3 - Grinding out all of the replica Senna F1 cars.
GT4 - Giving Mission 34 the double bird after finally passing it.
GT5 - Winning my first online race.
GT6 - Dunno yet. Hopefully related to Senna content.

When I went on GT5 earlier and realized back in the day the seasonals actually payed decent money and now the payouts are proof its all to line PD's pocket.

Walking through a toys-r-us and seeing a PSOne demo unit playing a GT demo in replay mode and being blown away by it! lol I know, it's hard to look at GT1 now and think anyone would fine it so amazing but it really was, to see such a realistic racing game with every day cars running on the PSOne was just so awesome. I couldn't WAIT for the game to come out & I was hooked ever since! 👍

👍 I remember that day that I saw the GT2 kiosk that you could play in Walmart in early 2000!

For me, the greatest moment was picking the first game on it's release day. I was so stoked. I was always a racing fan, but felt that most racing games were rather cartoonish. I mean, did you play the original Need for Speed? It was amazing that a game could be something more than a arcade racer. I still remember sitting down for the first time and feeling like a kid at Christmas. Granted I was 17 at the time and just graduated High School. I was a kid. But I still haven't experienced that same thrill with a game since. I still get that feeling every time I pop in the original.

The first need for speed I played was NFS Hot Pursuit III (97') for the PC. Oh that game was pretty good... Until I got GT1 and GT2 in 2000! And then, I started waiting for GT3! I was only 5, but I played the 🤬 out of that!👍

GT1 - Ground breaking Tuning a Mazda Demio to run faster than a Dodge Viper in 2 player races.

GT2 - Skipping the curbs after the freeway between the stadiums at Seattle in every car. those low chunky curbs were just great to clip.

GT3 - did not buy

GT4 - Bought a PS2 - with GT4 - So this felt like a huge ground breaking moment. Nurburgring was pretty but smooth - I Love Britta. And El Capitan. AND AND AND. I think it was the first time I heard the Moon over Castle tune too.

GT5 - Bought a PS3 with GT5 - This was fun trying to get the PS3 to work. (Wireless controller... what kind of witchcraft powers this!)(Oh I have to plug them in... to charge them up first...) Eventually I got it to work - Track Builder was the best flawed bit. Not perfect but still much fun.

GT6 - Step up in the physics - cars felt a bit more "alive" - LLC Rocket - no aids on Comfort tyres at any (Twisty) track just dancing along.

Honestly, what I did on and on and on, was get hybrids on GT3, and run them on Seattle or the Test Course and just floor it while hugging the wall, break out and go through millions upon millions of miles while going over 3500 mph in my GT-One... Memories...

Nice. I honestly have so many memories that I could go on for hours or days...

Spending a whole night until the morning trying to be first place in the worldwide Drift leaderboards from GT5P, I remember a japanese guy who's PSN was something along the lines of Step Mania being first on every single track and car. I managed to beat him that night on Suzuka and stayed on top for like a month.

The GT1, 2 and 4 US intros.

GT4, I actually never owned that game but I did rent it a couple of times, back then, my older brother was very involved with videogames and I remember sharing the same save-game, we would discuss before making any decisions within the game, like what car to buy, upgrades. It felt like being part of a racing team, even my father who is a massive car guy but has never really bothered with any sort of computer game gave his opinions on the matter. Sometimes he even suggested a better racing line while watching me play.

Ohh boy, here goes the documentary... This is from 5 FYI...

So, it was a late June night, staying up way past my bed time (I was 16 and still had those.... Sad days my friends..) and my league was doing a race at Le Mans. Just a simple 24 lap race (we are an endurance team so that's a piece of cake...) with LMP1s, LMGTE pro and am too. Me, well I'm the Head of Audi in my league so call me Wolfgang I guess. It was the weekend after the 2012 24 hours of Le Mans so we wanted to really go an all out sprint for this race. I'm in the broken, POS R10 which somehow did 3:27's with me at the wheel. Flying through Porsche was my best part of the track, and Tet was my worst as I tend to get real squirrelly.

So like always our team finds out how to "qualify" in gt5 by posting a hot lap on the track and then we would line up double file and pause, while host started the race by lap time. I posted a 3'25 so I came second only to a Peugeot (surprise right?) by (guess this) three seconds.. Blah blah blah. So, we did our pace lap, and then it was time to begin.

We crossed Porsche, went over Ford, and slammed the gas. Instantly I quirked a little and the Peugeot just went on like a little lion it was. Past Scotsman corner, under the bridge, and then passed the lion at Dunlop Esses, however, only to be passed in Tet. So then we go down the mulsanne, me on his draft, but staying there throughout the mulsanne, past mulsanne corner, and then down to Indy we went. I took the outside to pressure the lion, and he backed off as not to incur a penalty. I got the lead in Indy, took it through Arnage, and whipped him good in Porsche to the line.

But it would only be true if I had lost the lead in Tet, again. So it all repeated over and over for the remaining 22 laps. However the last lap was the stuff of movies. The lion took a bit of damage and caused him to have a weak engine, and we stayed side by side through every. single. corner. Then, it came to Porsche.

Now if we all remember way back from 5, the r10 had wicked torque, the stuff only the Germans could get. The lion, not as much, but a damn good competition. So, somehow my friend was able to keep next to me through Porsche, and all the way to Ford, however, I wasn't going to give up at the last 50 yards..

Sometimes they say being slow is fast, and fast is slow, and that was the case. The lion was fast in the straights, and slow on the exits. With that said, the race was over, after three LONG hours with pit stops and all, I came out as victor, and was ecstatic...

I will never forget how hyped I was for GT5. I remember in high school I used to watch this little trailer literally every night for the past three months before the game actually came out. and before the three months I would still watch it very very regularly

I also remember back in the day I used to work at Best Buy and I was sneaking the E3 stream on the computers and as soon as I saw this I was like "oh my god" and my hype multiplied greatly lol.

I also remember exactly the morning that I went to grab my GT5 Collectors edition. it was a rainy day and I was wearing my Ferrari rain jacket and when I got the game I put it on the passenger seat and just said "wow, I finally have this game"

I don't have too much memories from any other gran turismos because I played 1 and 2 back when I didn't know anything/cared about cars. and I owned an xbox after that so never got a chance to play 3 & 4, so technically speaking 5 was my first GT.

I remember buying the 458 just for the tail lights....

I also remember falling in love with the Lexus LFA for the first time when I got my PS3 and GT5. I bought it in pink as a joke car but I just went and fell in love with it.

Seeing the intro to gran turismo 2 for the first time. I still get chills everytime I see it. Also, buying the nissan gtr in gran turismo 5. I fell in love with the car the moment I saw it on top gear and once I paid the 70,000 credits for it, I made it a duty to use it all of the time. I even gave it chrome paint and different kinds of rims every time I use it:p.

Sweet

One of my favorites was from GT4 and finally being able to beat the 2J in every race of the American Championship using a Series 1 Shelby for 200 A Spec points :) Took a few tries on that one ;)

GT3 - did not buy

Aw, it was a solid entry to the series that had some nice surprises, and sold me on needing a PS2 with GT3 bundle ASAMFP.
